It's a spiraling staircase that has some landings along the way so you can rest or stretch. But it's the coming down that is a little harder. The spiraling stairs are more disorienting coming down, so take your time. After that there are a few rooms of pertinent information and then they have four rooms upstairs that show what life was life back then. Each room was recreated with artifacts of the time period...and there was a little interactive tablets that explain the different items in the room. A definite stop if you're visiting the island.

Ours faced the river so we have awesome sunset views and morning views with coffee. They also have a really nice restaurant. I did a separate review for them but it was really good. The pool area is really nice and relaxing but also has a bar. Great to take a swim after driver all day. We were upgraded with a corner suite room. So nice! Lots of light from the windows. Nice living area with lots of space. The bed slept really nice. Pillows were nice and fluffy. Not the normal sandbags most places have. Awesome shower! Very big and lots of hot water. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We will be back.

Lori is an extremely organized wedding planner who kept everything on schedule and did it with a most pleasant and positive demeanor. The venue is large beautiful, and diverse. It can be configured different ways depending on what your vision is. There are no parking issues, no traffic issues and access is very easy being just a few miles off of I-95 or US 17.

Location, location, location. The best thing about here is that you are right on the beach and…read morenear the little shops. The lobby area was decorated well for Christmas, but is very dark and dreary. Reception is always welcoming you when you walk in and often times people were there to open the door for you. There is a restaurant (Ocean 80) right in the lobby and the swimming pool is right outside the restaurant. We didn't use either one, but they both looked nice. We had an ocean view room on the top floor and the view was awesome. The room was very nice, with a king size bed, a nice separate living area, a large shower with the best water pressure (opposed to the sinks which barely had any), and a balcony with comfortable chairs look right at the pool, the dunes and lastly the ocean. Super nice!!!!! The staff is always friendly, and the person that helped get our beach chairs and umbrella was extremely nice. My biggest issue is COVID related. No staff are wearing masks, or even having plexi glass in front of check in. People pile into elevators with you, when common sense tells you it's not a good idea. I am sick of wearing masks too, but also want to keep myself protected as well as not spread something I may have and am not even aware. So frustrating.
