I was fortunate to learn about Story Termite & Pest Control. I called the office, and explained the lack of service we had, what I was looking for and what Story could provide. They put in contact with our technician, Brian who meet me at the house. We walked the perimeter and I explained what we had in terms of bugs and those pesky ants that always seem to get inside certain areas during the warm summer months. While there was an initial cost, I was happy to pay it to start our service. It's 6 months and Story has been to the house three times. Minus the flies during the summer months, we've been very happy with the service we have received. I told her to mail me the contract showing that there is a contractual agreement to four service visits. This doesn't excuse them of tricking a customer (probably many customers) into signing an agreement at the first service. Angel handed me a piece of paper which looked like a service visit receipt and asked me to sign it for his service -- which I did. Complete fraudsters -- I'll continue to report back.

On the day of appointment, 30 minutes before the end of the time window (11am-2pm) and only after I called to make sure Bobby was coming, he told me the current job went long and he would have to reschedule. He was quickly able to determine that the smell was not coming in from under the house and that it was coming from behind a wall or a cabinet. I really appreciate that he informed me that if it's a mouse it'll stop smelling in one or two weeks or if it's a rat it will completely stop smelling within three or four weeks. This really helped the situation for me because I now know the odor will dissipate and there's no other action I need to take because it doesn't make sense for me to start ripping holes in my walls to try to find where it is when it's going to stop stinking potentially before I would finish doing all of that expensive work to my walls!
