I was fortunate to learn about Story Termite & Pest Control. I called the office, and explained the lack of service we had, what I was looking for and what Story could provide. They put in contact with our technician, Brian who meet me at the house. We walked the perimeter and I explained what we had in terms of bugs and those pesky ants that always seem to get inside certain areas during the warm summer months. While there was an initial cost, I was happy to pay it to start our service. It's 6 months and Story has been to the house three times. Minus the flies during the summer months, we've been very happy with the service we have received. Brian texts me a few days ahead of his arrival, in order to coordinate someone being home because of the dogs in the yard. Thanks Story for great friendly service!

There are broken tiles now. Then the office lied and said that we had signed a waiver and said that we had stated we were going to replace the roof anyway....which is a complete fabrication. I never said that to them. Then they got their little feelings hurt and walked off the job when we called them out on their screw up. I would not EVER call this company, EVER.

After a week, it finally made it to the office and when they gave me the written estimate it was over $100 more than what Bobby had told me on the phone. But we made the appointment to get it done. The next day, the called and said the appointment had to be changed. OK, so we made another appointment. On the day of appointment, 30 minutes before the end of the time window (11am-2pm) and only after I called to make sure Bobby was coming, he told me the current job went long and he would have to reschedule. I cancelled. They are unorganized and unprofessional in how the do business. I'm surprised they can remain in business with this kind of poor service in a small community. Beware!

Our service provider is Mike and he always sends me a reminder text the night before to give me a heads up. He will even let me know when he is not available and someone else will be providing the service. Last night we had an issue with ants coming into our dining room from an outside wall. I woke up at six this morning and sent Mike a text to schedule an out of cycle service. He arrived less than two hours later and sprayed our perimeter. Woods came out and inspected around for possible entry points and didn't find any obvious signs of infestation. They suggested the bat had flown into the room and roosted somewhere inside the house (!) during the day. So that night we left our bedroom windows opened, door closed and slept in another br. Sure enough, no more bat since then. It must've found its way out. Although they didn't actually remove a bat, they made the effort to come out and investigate. Much appreciated! Yup ever on the Central Coast. From start to finish, Kyle helped me over the phone with my issue and scheduled an exterminator to the house within 2 hours. Who does that!!! Hired for interior and exterior mouse abatement, and their "foundation sealing" which was to ensure…read moreno further mice got in. As explained to me, the foundation is sealed so no more mice are let in. Then in the ensuring 4 weeks of mice abatement, the rodents inside the home are caught. Only the foundation was never sealed during those 4 weeks. Technician never did a thorough examination, even after calling on Week 5 since tech never showed up on week 4. I spent 3 hours and $75 doing the work myself that I paid around $400 for someone else to do. Told all this to management, no offer of refund. They even told me that the sealing of the home comes at the end, since they don't want rodents getting poisoned outside and then have them crawl in and die in the home. Which doesn't make any sense, since if they did their best to seal the foundation, mice wouldn't get in after the poison, and leaving the foundation unsealed for 4 weeks would let all the mice in. Very disappointed for a company that has been in operation here for so long.
