I have lived in the local area for 15+ years and have had dozens of dozens of business help me with home projects. This project was for the extermination of wasps in my attic that enter through the roof vent holes. Me....not up my alley. Brezden's professional service was the best ever. Yup ever on the Central Coast. From start to finish, Kyle helped me over the phone with my issue and scheduled an exterminator to the house within 2 hours. Who does that!!! He followed it up with a phone call when the Mike was outside my front door. Awesome. I was quoted a price range which was not only fair, but when the job was done, it was on the lowest end of the quote. Honesty. No tricks ....no gimmicks or upsells. Mike the exterminator showed up in a company blue truck with a uniform and was extremely helpful and polite. He quickly gauged the situation and handled it. Bam! Wasps...you're outta here!!! Mike gave me some great tips to keep them from coming back and setting up new nests. I paid by credit card over the phone. What a painless and quick process. And to think, I started with a call to an outfit in Paso Robles with a quirky name. They didn't return my call after several tries over a weeks time. Hired for interior and exterior mouse abatement, and their "foundation sealing" which was to ensure no further mice got in. As explained to me, the foundation is sealed so no more mice are let in. Then in the ensuring 4 weeks of mice abatement, the rodents inside the home are caught. Only the foundation was never sealed during those 4 weeks. Technician never did a thorough examination, even after calling on Week 5 since tech never showed up on week 4. I spent 3 hours and $75 doing the work myself that I paid around $400 for someone else to do. Told all this to management, no offer of refund. They even told me that the sealing of the home comes at the end, since they don't want rodents getting poisoned outside and then have them crawl in and die in the home. Which doesn't make any sense, since if they did their best to seal the foundation, mice wouldn't get in after the poison, and leaving the foundation unsealed for 4 weeks would let all the mice in. Very disappointed for a company that has been in operation here for so long. read more

i called requesting the removal of a wasp nest. The girl on the telephone started the conversation saying the cost would be $375. she raved on and on. about how they have to pay their employees well, etc. i didn't complain about the cost and gave her my address. she then said " you are yelling at me.". I explained that I wasn't yelling and that I was 85 years of age and had hearing loss and didn't have my hearing aides in my ears. She insisted that I was Yelling. I asked her if she was the owner of the business, She responded "NO" and that this call was ending and that I should call someone, and hung up on me. I called A1pest control, they, got the job done, and I signed up for spraying every two month for bugs. I have never before been treated so rudely. read more

For $175, they did an excellent comprehensive inspection. The inspector was professional and a nice person. I recommend them.

Total disappointment. We called to have someone look at a nest/flock of birds that are taking over our roof. We wanted advice as to what options would be for their relocation. A technician came out on a Thursday (5/16/24) and promised to have a quote to us by Monday (5/20/24). We followed up with an email to the technician on 5/23/24, and were told a quote was on the way. Now it is 5/28/24 and still crickets. read more

We were really shocked at how the Brezden's office treated us. We have many complaints, but the biggest is how they dribbled in the three negative inspections and charged us exorbitantly on the final remediation. Their first inspection showed dry rot, which we tried to fix on our own because their estimates for doing that were high. When they came back to reinspect, they found more dry rot, which we again tried to fix. They came back a third time and found even more dry rot. The fact that they couldn't find those issues the first time shows a serious lack of quality service. But because of how they were dribbling in new issue this way, we gave up and had them do the final fix since it would not require another inspection. They said that they'd give us a good break, but they ended up charging us a ridiculous amount for the work. Worse yet, they refused to talk to us about it afterwards despite several attempts to reach them for an explanation of the bill. Stay away from this awful company. They're not to be trusted. read more

We discovered subterranean termites during a remodel. Had treatment done around the house and inside a bathroom in February, but this colony was determined to stick around. John answered my call on a Friday night and was able to come out early Monday. They were awesome and found signs of the colony in another room that shared a wall where the termites were first found. A previous owner did a room add-on and left a space in the wall that the termites made their own. James and Ted treated the needed areas and took the time to discuss the issues. I appreciate their patience and prompt response. They stand by their warranty and definitely recommend them! read more

Very disappointed with service. Technician misrepresented coverage after I prepaid for service and my pest problem in my small cottage persists after paying them $650. Buyer beware: this company scams people by providing no written inspection reports or receipts. They were going to charge me extra for roof work that I didn't need, and only acknowledged their "mistake" when I demanded to see before and after photos. I emailed complaint to the business owner and received no response, so their "100% customer guarantee" appears to be another misrepresentation. read more

Incredibly impressed with Brezden. We had a large infestation of pigeons here in Solvang. On our property the pigeons were nesting under solar panels and after trying everything I could to get rid of the problem over the course of 3 years I decided to give Brezden a call. Josh came out and looked at the problem. This was a large cleanup as the pigeon poop was under three solar panel arrays under dormers and under roof overhang areas. He told me upfront that there was no guarantee, and that he would have to put together a plan/bid and that might take him a couple of days, that we have Spanish tile roof and due to that we would need to have a wraparound of the solar array custom cut so that the pigeons would not get in. He gave me two quotes one for a less expensive get the job done, and a more aggressive option with a few more additions. I chose the more aggressive route. Unfortunately, there was a delay in the materials for the project. Kyle kept us up to date with the status and scheduled the work around my very busy schedule. The work was done, I was worried because when the work was nearing completion a couple of pigeons had gotten into a sealed off area of the dormer. The worker removed the pigeons and re-enforced the area where they had gotten through the mesh. I am happy to say that it has been a couple months and our roof has been pigeon free. I would highly recommend calling them if you are in the same predicament. read more

I don't normally do reviews, however I had called a pest service to take care of a problem we were having with rats in our attic. The company promised to get back to me on three different occasions as I had to call back again and again when I didn't here from them. I finally gave up and said I was going to call someone else. That someone else was Brezden. I spoke to the office and they said someone would be out that day! Josh, the technician called me about an hour later and told me he would be out to evaluate the situation. He came right out and talked to me about all my options. One day later I got the contract. Until a few months ago, I would have given this place a 5-stars for service and courtesy of the workers. However, since my regular guy left the company, I have to now give a 1-star. Last time: they said they'll come in the early afternoon, and the man showed up at 8 am. This month, I called and told a man that I will not get back home till 12:30pm, and he said he'll pass the information on. Well, no show today. I have contacted the office and talk to 4 different people last time, and I thought miscommunication will be corrected. Apparently not. Fumigation scheduling, bags for foods and medicines, etc. 4) Ted conducted a pre-fumigation walkthrough to insure we knew what to expect and could be prepared. Terrible customer service. I had scheduled an appointment with Josh last Thursday for an exterior treatment and he never showed. I've left multiple messages over the course of multiple days with the receptionist and have never received a return call, which is hilarious because he was VERY easy to get ahold of BEFORE his blatant no-show, but now he's impossible to reach. I was actually considering a bi-monthly treatment which would have required signing of a contract with a year long commitment. Boy am I happy I dodged THAT bullet. That's fine, I'd much rather give my money to a company with employees who will actually show up. read more

Payment of 160.00 to spray for spiders. They they didn't take down any webs so I did after they left. Within a week and a half the spiderwebs and spiders were all back. I called three weeks after the service and they said there was nothing they could do. We're not interested in all in helping me. They never told me that they would not the web and they never told me that the service had to be done in 30 days , lady I spoke to was dismissive. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE! read more

Called these guys after a HUGE ant invasion got on my last nerve! Derek came out and went step by step with what the ant breed was, what he was using to kill them, and how they would be prevented from returning in the future! Super nice guy and super helpful with everything!! He had said that it could take about 2 weeks to kill off everything, but after day 1, I haven't seen a single ant from the 5 colonies that he found around the house!!!!!!! The technician had been out three times to spray for ants..(big problem). What ever he did didn't work, so I called their office and came back the next day to spray again.. DID NOT HELP AT ALL. I still have ants everywhere.. kitchen rooms bathrooms and even in the garage. I had to go buy raid n spray my house.. the smell is awful but it worked better and a lot cheaper. for the times they were out here we paid over $400 and two cans of raid cost $20. I called to cancel future service and customer service (Ceecee) hung up on me before I finished my sentence, she heard the word cancel and hung up on me before I could say anything else. I called back and spoke to another customer service agent.. and she was very polite and apologized. I was disappointed all the way around.. I will not be recommending them to anyone! read more

Very disappointed in the service at the home. Customer service was very nice but exterminator not so much. Had hired them for outside rat problem. Visits were rigid-wasnt able to get them out on dates that I was off. When visits happened, the exterminator didn't even take the dead rats out sometimes. On days of service wasn't able to give me a heads up when they would be there--no text capability. When I contacted the company, the reply included that "sometimes we all cut corners". Really? I'm a nurse. I don't understand "cutting corners". I only understand getting what I pay for. And I didn't. :( read more

Recently we've been having problems with mice. Initially I thought we only had one or two, but one day I came home and saw about seven of them running down the hall. I tried setting out traps and it turns out, mice are not that easy to catch. I called Brezden Pest Control to come take care of our mouse problem when I realized that the mice seem to be winning the battle. Now I don't have a mouse problem! I was very satisfied with their service. They were reasonably priced, very affective, and actually showed up when they said they would. From my initial contact w/Brezden via their website to my most recent visit from Connor I have been more than pleased. I have an unfortunate problem with mice so I am not a very happy camper at the moment. Josh came out to provide me with an estimate on 10/18 and Conner came for the setup and first visit (of a handful to start) on 10/22 and just left today (10/30). While my problem is not resolved I feel that Brezden has provided a path to the solution of my problem with mice. I live in San Luis Obispo off bishops peak and we had a spider problem that was unbearable our kids were scared to play in the backyard. I have been using Brezden for many years now. Living in Los Osos, I have had some very challenging pest problems over the years and they have always found a great solution. If I email or call and leave a message, I never have to wait for them to get back to me. The are always so prompt getting back to me. Favio, our service tech, is the best!.He comes to my home once a month and does his inspection and maintenance. He is so polite and extremely efficient. My husbands situation is rather unusual and Favio is very respectful of that . They bill me each month and I really feel they give me more than they charge-great rates. If I have a problem and send a message to the owner John, he is right on top of what ever what ever the problem is. All the guy are such a pleasure to work with. Missed two dry rot spots under the eaves. made my sale go rough and delayed things. Had to hire others and pay more to get clearance. Refused to come back for a clearance claimed time was too long between service date and the sale. Rude son very rude. Tented for fungus and termites; did that part ok but then marked up new paint all around home with hard to remove pencil; marked two posts as dry rot but Not dry rotted; had to replace posts to get home sold but three contractors looked at the supposed dry rotted posts, 4 x 4's and said they saw nothing dry rotted and felt unfairly marked; they went overboard to mark lots of spots but failed to note two REALLY important areas. Would never use them again, NEVER! read more

They took too much money from my credit card. Didn't send receipt showing amount paid, it said amount due. Which was more than original invoice. Had to call twice to get corrected receipt. Bitchy lady started making excuses, then told me I'm talking to the wrong person. If you don't know the answer to the question, then don't try answering. "Let me get you to the bookkeeper..." Should have been her reply. Told, by tech. when he was aty house doing the work, that it should be around $1200. Wow poor guy needs a refresher course, since the actual estatimate came in at more than twice that. After hassling them, I'm told they will credit my account, to the true amount. LOL, I just got a new receipt with the wrong amount, again. Bitchy lady kept telling me to calm down. I was asserting myself, stating the complete fiasco to her, yes I had a lot to say, since they made so many mistakes. Getting another estatimate from another company.
