I've used Bug Emergency 3 times. 2 neighboring properties, 1st visit out was to spray for weeds. Made an appointment for 2 neighboring properties to be sprayed, and the technician was 2 hours late. The technician also did not have the same information as the information relayed to me when I called to ask about the COST of service. Schedule to have some work done at the neighboring property, and the operator asked to schedule at 4 that time did not work so 4:30 was agreed upon due to needing to be INSIDE the home. I waited and waited and waited, called the after hours number at 4:50,5:30,6:00,6:15 and no answer. I then emailed and still no answer. THE NEXT DAY, come to find out that technician did show up, at 3:50 and did a partial job and left since I wasn't home . It was specifically requested to be there at 4:30 because I have school pickups to do. After not having time the next day, I had to rearrange my schedule to ensure I would be home AGAIN for a 3:30 appointment. 2pm comes and the technician calls me to tell me he's 10 minutes away. I stop and repeat the situation to the tech and say I made an appointment for a reason. I then called and spoke with the manager Sam to let her know this is the frustration my family was experiencing. Why bother to make an appointment or be available at that time when the technician is just going to honestly show up when they want? She informed me that she would speak to the tech and that he would call me and be to the home no earlier than 3:30 2:50 I get a voicemail from Sam asking me to call her back. To which I do, and she is asking me if I am home and the tech can come by. Talk about zero understanding for the time set because I have to go get my children from school. Out of frustration and being tired of being pushed to be home I said you know what sure. Had to have someone come watch my little kids and handle it because they were so pressured to come NOW rather than the time THEY asked me if it would work for ME. I was late picking my kids up, and I'm honestly just not satisfied with the service. Give me a window time if that's how you choose to operate your business and not a specific time. How damn ridiculous 4 total services and not a damn one was on time! Being early is cool, call your customer and ask FIRST. I have dogs in my yard, god forbid someone would have shown up and just let themselves in like they did to my neighboring property that didn't have dogs. Would they have had the decency to check if I was home if they saw my dogs in the yard? At this point 10/10 don't recommend. We were not compensated for anything other than the technician coming out to finish the job he should have done on the day it was scheduled. $300 for services and crappy service. read more

Today, I received a call from their front office person who complained to me that I hadn't paid my bill for the past two months and I was in arrears for $64.   I've only been a customer of this company for a short few months and hired this company to take care of my rental property in Bullhead City.   The lady who ostensibly works in the front office was hostile, angry and short with me on the phone, and she had the personality of a rock.   When she initially called me she shouted into the phone as though she was a clerk at the DMV shouting who is next over the loud speaker.   "HELLO...IS THIS PHILIP J. YAMAMOTO?"   "I'M LOOKING FOR PHILIP J. YAMAMOTO"...   "Yes, this is him...can I help you?"   "YES, YOU'RE LATE...I'M CALLING FROM BUG EMERGENCY AND WE HAVEN'T BEEN PAID FOR TWO MONTHS AND YOU'RE TWO MONTHS IN ARREARS AND I'M CALLING FOR PAYMENT... AND THE PAPERWORK FOR YOUR SERVICE WASN'T FILED OR TURNED IN BY THE SERVICE TECHNICIAN"   "Mam, I have a credit card on file with your company and what's the paperwork between you and your employee have anything to do with me?...I'm the customer".   Again, the woman who called lambasted me for not paying my bill and not running my credit card.   "YOUR CREDIT CARD WAS NOT CHARGED FOR THE PAST TWO MONTHS AND THE PAPERWORK FROM THE SERVICE TECHNICIAN WASN'T TURNED IN".   Again, I tried to explain to her on deaf ears that I'm not an employee of their company and why is she complaining to me that the credit card wasn't charged when they have the credit card number and what do I have to do with any paperwork that is something internal to their company...as I'm the customer.   Have you ever had to talk to someone who has had a major traumatic brain injury and they just couldn't understand you no matter what you said or did, they wanted to argue with you for no good reason but just enjoyed arguing for the sake of arguing? This is this woman who is their front office person.   Finally, after 10 minutes she finally agreed to run my credit card but she still had a hostile attitude and anger in her voice.   I always want to support small business, but no one likes being treated like they are a deadbeat when the small business is so poorly organized that they didn't run my credit card and then have the balls to call me up to complain and argue why they didn't run it for two months when they had it on file. Then she complained about the paperwork that their service technician didn't turn into the office as though it's my fault. I kept having to remind her that I'm the customer, and I'm not an employee of their company.   I did try to give her some advice on how to talk to people on the phone or in person in that she should have a smile in her voice and be warm as she was cold as ice and had the personality of a rock.   "Madam, when you call someone up, especially a customer, you don't have to sound like your from the IRS or The FBI.... You need to have a smile in your voice and have some warmth, instead you sound very angry and hostile on the phone... you obviously must hate your job and it shows in your voice inflection and tone".   "No., I don't hate my job, I love my job"...   "No, you don't...it sounds like you hate your job, and hate life and hate people...you sound cold and indifferent, not inviting or friendly at all"...   Then she hung up with a curt thank you and my advice fell on deaf ears.   I'm not going to do any business with anyone who is a jerk or treats me like a jerk, and for that I don't recommend this company to do business with, I'm a busy guy, but this lady was such a jerk to me today and I felt that a Yelp Review and warning to others who might want to use their service was warranted.   The company obviously doesn't care about their customers or they wouldn't have someone like her answering their office phones or making rude calls to their customers blaming them for things that only the company itself has control over, and has zero, nada, nothing to do with the customer.   Who calls up one of their customers to lambaste them for their not running the credit card when the company itself has the credit card but failed to run it. And then to top it off, she blames me for her own employee not turning in the paperwork to the company. It's their employee, not my employee, but I guarantee you that this one lady has cost this company business and money as they lost a customer in me. I'm done with them. read more

Called this place while doing a remodel of a mobile home. Guy showed upon a saturday and sprayed the inside of our home. Now mind you, nothing in this house so very easy to access room to room. Weve seen a slight change in the amount of water roachs but still see spiders constantly and many ants. We were having umbers come out. So the guys says what he can do is come back 3 days later and spray outside once leaks are fixed. My mistake...i paid him ahead of time. Well 3 days passed no almost a week and a half...never heard back from him. Called spoke with woman in office. Told her the situation and she was able to get us in again on saturday. We've always had issues with appointment times. Often our technician will arrive an hour early or up to an hour and a half late. It's always been frustrating. But Last month for our regular service we waited around for over 2 hours but no one showed up. Of course since it's on Saturday, no one is in the office to contact. When I talked to them on Monday I was told that our service guy wasn't available and they rescheduled us for Monday -- without even talking to me. We work and are not home on weekdays. Our gate is locked. He wouldn't have access to the back or inside, which we have sprayed every month. But the worst was the lack of respect for our time to not even contact us to let us know he wouldn't be coming! Because what they do works and we honestly only find dead things (that's why I gave a second star), we said we'd give it another month to see what happens. Well today was our next regular service.... the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend. I called the office yesterday and was told that we are definitely on the schedule for our 2:30 appointment. I confirmed that she knew it was a holiday weekend and that I didn't want to be sitting around waiting and have no one show up. She agreed and said she didn't blame me for being concerned, but assured me we'd get our service. Well, today 2:30 came and went. We finally left the house at 4:30 pm. We waited 2 hours past appointment time - another no call no show. We will be calling to cancel our service on Monday. I'm sure another company would actually like to have our business. This is completely unacceptable service. In a nutshell, the service provided is effective - if you can get it! And that's a BIG if... If you don't mind spending days sitting around waiting for someone to show up, give them a try. My appointment time will be up for grabs. read more

WARNING: DON'T DO IT! They are crooks! They don't stand by their word to be weed free for 6 months! I had to call them 4 times in 4 months. They stood me up 3 times! NO SHOWS with no courtesy call. When I demanded my money back, they said they don't guarantee a certain type of grass and weeds so they can't refund my $145.00. Nowhere in the contract does it say that. My next step is to file a Better Business Bureau reporting them. I don't have the money for a lawyer but if I did I would certainly sure them for breech of contract. Save yourself a lot of time and hassle with these jerk offs and hire someone that will do the job as contracted. The owner didn't even have the balls to talk to me, she had the receptionist tell me. Had Bug Emergency spray my vacant lot for weeds. They guarantee no weeds for 6 months. After 8 weeks had a bunch of weeds return, they came out and resprayed just the weeds that surfaced (over 100 of them). 3 weeks later more weeds so they came out and re sprayed the whole lot over again for no charge. I asked if it was gauranteed somewhat. He said just call the office if there was. There was a reemergence and I called them and they shot right back out and resprayed no charge. Even worse is the fact that we always have to schedule three weeks in advance to just be disregarded. Paid Bug Emergency to deal with bees living inside the wall of my attached garage. There were tons flying around everywhere outside! They charged $120 to kill the bees, but now I've got 20-40 flying around inside my garage and outside the garage door. Also, they're coming through the fluorescent light in my kitchen and we're having to kill 3-4 a night in my kitchen and dining room. When I called them to come back (we were promised a 6 mo. guarantee) they told me they'd get a time from the tech and call me back. Next thing I know, my kids call from home to tell me the guy showed up and looked around. We were told that we only paid to have the bees sprayed at one hole and if they were showing up somewhere else, that would be another charge. Really? I thought we paid them to deal with the bees, not plug a hole!! All they did is drive them through the walls into my garage and home. I've got small children and I'm allergic to bees, but I guess that's not there concern. Will definitely NEVER use them again, or recommend them to anyone else. read more

I have been a customer of Bug Emergency since the company began. I will tell the truth.. They do a great job.. But I am stunned by the HUGE price increase from literally one month to the next. In February, I paid the usual $25 fee for basic residential service. I always thought that was an INCREDIBLE price, since Baron charged $32. Today I called for regular service and the receptionist tells me there has been a "price change" this month. I braced myself for a $5 increase per service and thought to myself that it was totally fair to increase the price for a great service. But I almost fell over when she said the new price was $40!!! How could any company increase a service call $15 from February to March?? It is too much too fast and I will have to cut ties with Bug Emergency. If ever they choose to give their long time loyal customers a better rate, please contact me. I would love to return. By the way, even Baron is charging less and Adieux is charging $32. What caused you to believe you could increase your rate so dramatically and not lose customers?
