I expected it to be way more touristic than it actually was, there were lots of locals as well as we went to have dinner there at a Saturday night. We arrived before 8pm and got a table right away - later there was a big queue. It took a time before we could order our drinks but it gave us enough time to chose from the menu and the waiter also offered that we could already start eating. We ordered water and beer and the drinks came right away.
The cold buffet had various veggies: cucumber, corn, red cabbage, beets, peas, green salad, carrots etc. plus prepared salad just as couscous salad, mushrooms and tomatoes that were nice and spicy, Russian salad and pasta salad with tuna. There was salt, pepper, oil, vinegar, mustard, ketchup and mayonnaise to take as much as we needed.
There were two different soups, one was a very nice vegetable cream sauce with spinach, the other was non veg. There were also fresh buns.
The hot buffet had rice, French fries (they were really good and always fresh!), different starters like meat balls, fries codfish and black beans (feijão). Then there were different kinds of freshly roasted meats that they cut for you right on your plate: sausage, chicken drums, beef and even steak. The quality was really good.
We paid 7,90€ for the food, drinks not included but cheap. We didn't eat dessert but it all looked quite good.
There is no music in the restaurant so it is a good place to talk. The TVs are on mute.
Good quality for the money, definitely recommended!
You can also order take away and get a box that you can fill at the buffet. It is also possible to reserve a table. read more
