My husband loved the cowboy steak, and by Nick's suggestion I ordered the fish and chips but swapped the fries for steamed broccoli. I told Nick I'm not a fan of fish that's heavily battered and soaked in oil like a sponge. He reassured me I'd love theirs because it's large pieces of fish with a light batter -- and he was absolutely right. I also asked for the hottest sauce they had, and instead of just bringing something standard, Nick went to the kitchen and had a fresh jalapeño-based sauce made. It was incredible. In fact I took the rest home as it was made specially for me! Nick clearly takes pride in what he does and in the restaurant, which is something you don't see often anymore.
