After wrapping up some Sunday afternoon errands, my husband and I decided to grab a late lunch/early dinner at Buffalo Wild Wings in Nitro. It hit the spot. We kicked things off with the Everything Pretzel Knots, served with beer cheese dip and honey mustard. The pretzels themselves were warm and satisfying, though neither of us were big fans of the everything bagel seasoning--it overpowered the pretzel and dip a bit. For mains, I went with the traditional wings in medium sauce: a solid choice--saucy, with just the right level of heat to keep things interesting. I paired that with classic onion rings (crispy, not greasy, and nicely fried) and a side salad. The salad was fresh enough, but the vinaigrette dressing and green onions didn't quite do it for me. My husband ordered the boneless wings with spicy garlic sauce. He liked the light, crispy breading and appreciated that the wings weren't drowning in sauce--just enough to bring the heat and flavor. All in all, a dependable spot for wings. We'd likely stop by again if we're in the area--or if our teenager starts craving wings again, which has become a regular thing lately. read more

I travel all across the country for my job , I have eaten at several Bww , this evenings dinner was by far the worst wings I've ever raw'd on. They came out way too fast to be recently cooked ,cold , dry , 2 out 10 were so dry from setting I couldn't tell the difference from meat or the bone. The side of onion rings I got were hot but I only got 4 onion rings (4) !!! I have had wings from take-out at home and eat them the next day that tasted fresher. read more

This place is a little off the beaten path, but it has a large parking area and was fairly crowded. We went with a large group. We were seated immediately. The place was cleaner than most BWW and service was better. I tried the new Philly cheesesteak. It was pretty good. read more

Went to BWW in Cross Lanes, WV for a takeout order. Ordered $50 worth of food and was needing some extra ranch. They bring out 3 small containers of ranch (not even full) and wanted to charge me $3.18 When spending that much can't they give you an extra for each order......Walked out and told them to keep the extra ranch!! read more

In the area for work , I decided to grab lunch before heading to the airport. Got 10 wings and salad. I really enjoyed the bourbon bbq sauce. Wings came out hot and lots of sauce. In reference to the review about the verbal abuse over mango sauce. I am a former employee of bww crosslanes and I happened to be in the building at the time. The gm was not aggressive. She came out ready to solve a problem and was met with hostility including a customer putting her finger in her face. She very calmly asked them to please not make a scene in the store. Had they reacted respectfully I wholeheartedly believe they would've just given them the sauce. But if u give disrespect dont expect respect back. BWW Cross Lanes' GM verbally attacked me when I asked for 2 sides of mango haberno sauce and didn't have my wallet on me to pay $2.12 even though I picked up an order for $171 and paid $20 tip. We went in yesterday before we went shopping. We usually sit at the bar but it was full. We sat at a high top. Service was slower than we normally get when we go but we thought it was the difference of being at the bar vs a high top. Food was really good. We were ready to leave. I set my card on the table. She came by and I handed it to her. We asked for containers. She came back without them. We asked her again when she came back. We did not get them or a copy of our bill so we don't know her name. I know that she was wearing a Lions shirt because I commented on it. My friend went to the car and I continued to wait for the containers. Then I was watching her clear tables. If I could give zero stars I would. I have sworn by this BWW for years. Today I came in with some friends to catch the WVU basketball game. Ordered a beer that took close to a half hour to get- so I went ahead and ordered another with a shot so I didn't have to wait when I wanted it. The waiter who was fine came back to inform us that the manager said we can't serve you that much alcohol? We then request the manager who tells us it's their policy- we canceled all the food they brought us paid for what we did get and left. I am shocked that BWW missed out on an east $500+ check. Now we're at Fridays and they're serving us with zero issue. I feel so embarrassed that I've told so many people how good this location is- I'll never return. read more

Worst BWW I've ever been too. All the locations are definitely not the same! Between the long wait and the rotten lettuce in our salads. Some of our meals didn't come with everything it said in the menu. Our waitress barely checked on us or asked us if we wanted refills. The wings were ok and the beer was Good. That's about it. Ainsley took great care of our party of five on a Friday night-the food came out quick and she kept us in drinks and sauces! They have signs up for checking IDs and she requested them as we ordered our beers which means she was doing her job well. We went to lunch at Buffalo Wild Wings in Cross Lanes, WV while home on vacation with my kids, Noelle Teel, Joshua Hunt and Noki's birthday Adam McCafferty. We had a nice lunch. I have never been to this location and we enjoy their food and the Buzztime Trivia Game.. Joshua ordered the Garlicy Mushrooms and 5pk of Parmesan Garlic Wings with a soda to drink. He loves that sauce, he always has to leave with a take home bottle for later..Adam had never been there before so he opted for the Build you own burger with Peper Jack Cheese and Potato Wedges.. Noelle and I opted to share the Sampler Appetizer Platter with Nachos, Wings, Onion Rings and Boneless Wings..we went for the Thai sauce..it was pretty good!! I had soda, while Noelle had Lemonade and Adam opted for water. We enjoyed our food. Our waitress was Sarah and she was wonderful. Very prompt to check on us, bring refills and extra napkins without even asking. I would enjoy going back to this location again!! I recommend to everyone. We were happy to be seated quickly. Our overall experience was negative mainly due to the subpar service we received from our server. She was pleasant when she came to our table but she seldom came. After our appetizer and food was delivered (by other servers), she passed by our table several times before asking how everything was. We waited an excessive amount of time to pay our bill. This post is made prior to the bbw franchise being purchased by Arbys-this caused major changes within the corporation which have worsened the quality of the food, keep in mind I'm a regular here. In my personal experience my family and I ordered traditional wings and boneless wings which took a decade. Literally, we could have ordered Domino's and it would have been delivered before our wings came in. However, the quality of the wings was mediocre as they lacked sauce and were not covered entirely. The vegetables and fries did not taste fresh. What was worse was that on of my wings was raw. However the waiter was nice and the price was cheap but not worth it. read more

Today I ordered what the BW3's app on my phone advertised as "Traditional Medium (Approximately 14) Wings for $18.79 to go. 14 wings for $19. The app lets you choose up to three sauces and I choose two, parmesan garlic and mild. I'm thinking "approximately" seven parm garlic and "approximately" seven mild. Parmesan garlic is my favorite flavor so imagine the sound of dropping your favorite bottle of wine or beer on a tile floor. That's the sound my heart made when I opened up the box of parm garlic and saw five. The box with mild had 7 wings in it. My "approximately" 14 wings ended up being exactly 12 wings. To me, spending $19 on "approximately" 14 wings means I may only get 13, probably get 14, and if I'm lucky get 15. There were no celery or carrots in the bag or those little wing wipes in the bag. This was just an absolute fail especially compared to my experience with the Barboursville location. A few days ago I placed the exact same order (Traditional Medium (Approximately 14) Wings) in the exact same way (via the app). I paid $15.79. The bag felt heavy and when I got home there were AT LEAST 14 wings, celery and carrots (I didn't even ask for), enough napkins to keep a ship of sailors clean, and enough wing wipes for each individual wings. I'll give the Barboursville location its own positive review. The other complaint isn't location specific but why is there such a difference in price between the two locations? Irregardless, $18 is entirely too much for 14 wings. I used to go to this location all the time to eat the wings, drink some beers, and play trivia but this experience has really made me think about reevaluating all of my life choices. read more

Stopped in fora 2-go order. Friendly service and adequate time to wait. Staff was friendly and order was correct. HOWEVER: NEVER ORDER YOUR DRINK TO GO HERE! A "large" iced tea to go was $3 for less than 16oz drink! Now to their credit, I did complain and the manager gave me the tea in the larger version cup (32oz). Thanks guys! But honestly, $3 for a to go cup that if I sat in the restaurant would be refilled for free? C'mon B-dubs corporate guys! Get with it for your customers! 99% of the time they forget something if you carry out, so check your bag. If you eat in the food is usually cold by the time you get it wether it's buddy or not, it doesn't matter. Usually a long wait after ordering to receive your food after ordering. Service is usually mediocre but not always terrible. If you call in sometime you have a long wait; I once waited for 37 minutes on the phone to place the order (I have the image saved on my phone). I ordered online while remaining on the phone and I hung up the phone upon arrival, showed the front desk associate but was kind, (I didn't get a name when placed on hold). Mediocre food with terrible prices. We quit coming here for a long time because they raised the prices once. It seems after they redid the decor they have raised prices once again. They charge three dollars for fountain drinks and you can get a tallboy Bud Light for about the same price. The grilled chicken was boiled not grilled. I am a huge fan of BW3s and was disappointed with my to go carry out order today. I ordered desert heat dry rub boneless wings and a side salad. The wings were hot and seemed fresh enough but about half of them weren't fully cooked and the meat was rubbery. Gross!
