It was sizzling at it hit the table and the only bad thing is that I had to let it cool off just a bit before jumping it. A painful wait. But that said, I absolutely loved it. The duck was perfectly cook and the spice combination was excellent. Just great all the way around. And the owner came by several times to check on me and I know why she is smiling all the time, because everyone is killing what they serve. Well worth the effort to get there.

The sushi is okay, and their hot food section is not bad. They also have fried bananas, which are delicious. On the downside, the sushi chefs who work there are pretty incompetent and stingy. If they see that you're grabbing lots of sushi, they'll put the really junky ones out. They withhold Nigiri sushi. One night, I came here and they had a large plate of Nigiri sushi. When we left 2.5 hours later, only a quarter of that plate was done. This would never happen in the States! For that reason, I can't put this place more than 3 stars out of 5.

Fresh ingredients sourced from a private farm and prepared with care and artistry make for surprisingly delicious meal. At other restaurants you might expect to pay 1.5 or 2x for this quality of food, but the unpretentious setting and the nature of the business (which supports youths with handicaps and trains them in the kitchen) means you get your money's worth and more. We started with a pumpkin soup which was so fresh it felt like it had been a pumpkin minutes before it was served. For our mains I had a delicious pork knuckle (a must when visiting Berlin) and my wife had the duck. Somehow pork knuckle, sauerkraut, pea mash and mustard were made *much* better than the sum of their parts. The duck was similarly extraordinary. We finished the meal with a lemon tart with a beautiful plating and equally wonderful set of flavors. If you're near the HBF, don't miss it!

It's all you can eat hot pot but you order the items, it's not an open buffet where you can everything yourself. If you're a foreigner and expect good hot pot like it is from ur home town then pls lower your expectations. Tomato broth and beef bone broth were both good!
