It's not far off I-95, located in a nice small town with several restaurants that looked very good for dinner. Parking is mostly street parking, and while it's a bit limited, we were able to find a spot. Buttery Bakery is a small place. When you walk in, there's a counter with pastries on display and an order counter to the left. There's also a small seating area. My wife ordered a biscuit with egg, bacon, and cheese, and I had a croissant with bacon, egg, and cheese. Both were excellent. The croissant was extremely flaky and flavorful, and the biscuit was just as good. We also picked up a chocolate croissant to eat later. It was very good, though it could have used a bit more chocolate. Overall, this is a great stop for breakfast, and we would definitely return when we're in the area again.

I needed some pastries for a teacher appreciation thing at my kids school so we decided to go with her homemade pop tarts. Although I love everything I have ever tasted that she makes, her pop tarts are super unique. And they are DELICIOUS. I've now tried strawberry, blueberry, and chocolate and they are all phenomenal. We were able to schedule an order to pickup about a week later, and she is so nice about being willing to make an assortment of flavors, and even packaging her new "pecan pie" ones separately, just in case anyone has an allergy. Love it! Little things like that go a long way in my book as far as service goes. The shop is small, but very cute. I love how woodsy and earthy everything looks. Her cake stands are round slices of wood and she has cute earthy decor all around. She was super busy, preparing for the pecan festival the day we were in, so the cases were empty but she was happy to tell us all about the things she had available in the back still. Went to a wedding yesterday and the bride was so upset with her cake she refused to serve it! The cake was 3 large deep cakes, one on top the other... but staked wrong. the middle cake was nearly the size of the bottom cake and the top was so much smaller... so the pans they chose to use were sized wrong. Layers were stacked the same one on top the other, and they were supposed to have been stacked, bottom layer square, middle layer turned with points to the sides, top layer turned with points to the sides of the middle layer. I personally thought, I'd have just served it and let it go, UNTIL I saw the picture of what they were supposed to make... Omg it was nothing like what was requested... Bows made on the sides were sloppy. the little "ropes" were just rounded and plain... and not even on the cake... They sent out to Walmart for large sheet cakes and I must say, for $18 each...they looked so so much better than the cake that was nearly $300 with everything done wrong ;o(
