I shared my food with her daughter, I felt ILL the next day- throwing up, nonstop diarrhea (Thank God I work from home), sweating and dizzy and her daughter had the some issues (just mild compare to mine since she didn't eat much as she felt the ribs were dry). I reached out to the owner, Gerald Nathan, and first he blamed covid (no I don't have covid, I even got tested as I assumed the same as first and also I am fully vaccinated), then he accuses my friend of POISONING me. I simply reached out to make him aware of the issue, and I understand I order when they were finally starting to shut down (I ordered round 7;30, they close at 8), and honestly things happen, and this was his response. this isn't a proper way to treat customers.

Staying at the Iron Horse a few doors down, we pulled into town around 630pm. A quick search &…read moreglance around told us the choices were to eat here (within an hour) or not eat. We chose to eat. I can't lie, I went into what's showing as coffee tea & sandwiches pretty bitterly & with low expectations. It hits the greasy spoon look in appearances - and elbow table sticking... a real throwback diner vibe. You'll be eating off grandma's plates & drinking from big plastic soda cups. The sign out front said the specials were fish, shrimp or frog legs. The menu was along the lines of a burger joint & i wasn't feeling a burger. Fried food in 90 degree weather sounded heavy. Still, we both decided to get the fish with the option to sub any side because they were out of the included mac & cheese. Having asked what kind of fish it was, the server said she wasn't sure but it's delicious. This turned out to be incredibly accurate. The fish was EXCELLENT. It was moist, light & flaky with a clean fry, & no dripping oil. I was very pleasantly surprised by the presentation of what hit like a meal at home. We opted for the tasty house-made cobbler to finish. It was $3 - 2 meals, 2 desserts came in at $30. Here's to an accident gone right!. At 12min til close, a group was hovering at the door & checking their watches. I kid you not, the lady in charge went bee-lining for the door. Again, I had expectations of the lock getting turned but, nope, she opened the door & invited them in! They warned they were a party of 12 & it was now -10min til close but she shrugged that off & called them in. That, dear readers, is great customer service.

We started with Fried Green Beans which I sadly didn't get a picture of. My aunts ordered and split a BLT w/ Avocado, Fries and a Brew Brothers Salad. I ordered Nachos, and my grandma ordered a Brew Brothers Salad, the cup of Ham & Bean soup, and fries with ranch. Those Fried Green beans were so good and flavorful. My aunts sandwich was perfect for sharing! It had two good sized halves and the salads were fresh and as good as they always are. The nachos were a great size if you want to order it as your main meal, though it's in the appetizer menu. The pulled pork on them was moist and delicious, not dry. The little baby scoop of guacamole could be bigger, and I wouldn't have minded some sour cream. The drinks were great and I'd order the cider again. My grandma was a bit disappointed. Her soup was flavorless, and was in desperate need of salt, smoke, and flavor. Furthermore the cornbread roll could have, and probably should have come with butter. And unfortunately the waitress never came back soon enough to check if everything had come out good, for her to ask for some. Other than that, the restaurant is beautiful inside and full of wooden decor and has an industrial vibe. It was quiet and there was hardly anyone there. They also had the Cardinals baseball game on which was nice! Overall it was amazing and we will be back every time we come to the Isle.
