There were awfully slim pickings around here for breakfast, but I finally found this gas station restaurant open. Fancy it wasn't, but their breakfast offerings, while largely not to my liking due to all the eggs and such, at least included some French Toast with a pretty indulgent butter pecan sauce. I got some melon on the side (might not have done that if I'd known it came with a piece of cantaloupe, but whatever) as well as a horchata, which ended up being a very sugary breakfast. They have a more Mexican menu for lunch; I wish i could have had some beans and avocado for breakfast but that wasn't in the cards. But at least this was fast and tasty.

I can't believe I haven't reviewed this place. We've been here many times. They're only open for breakfast and lunch. The food is outstanding. Authentic Mexican or delicious breakfast burritos; pancakes are to die for, or an omelette, you can't go wrong. Home fries are probably the best I've ever had. Street tacos are incredible, served with rice and beans. Service is quick and friendly. Atmosphere is just typical diner/dive, kinda no frills. Who cares? Food is that good!

A must try!!!! No regrets!!!! Where do I start!!!! Best hidden gem .... Our favorite new restaurant!!!! Delicious food... The food is so good we came back a few days later. The restaurant is next the a gas station so you may miss it if driving too fast... my husband and I had the chicken chimichanga and the Gorditas on the first visit.... Both are not pictured because we ate it too fast... We went back to try the breakfast and it was equally delicious..... no Togo boxes for us... The service was great. The owner and his wife are an amazing couple!!!

French toast with butter pecan syrup - best we have ever had!

Delicious food. Hold in the wall but food is very good. Family run business. Best guacamole in the area. Hard workers!

Best omelette in town. Recommend the San Juan omelette with chorizo. Military discount accepted. Friendly owner.

The place is a classic diner. We had the $7.99 lunch plate. Service was fast and food was great. We will come back for breakfast

We were a group of 25, 18 adults and 7 kids,. We made a last minute decision to go to dinner…read moretogether tonight and called Peppers. We missed our reservation by 30+ minutes and when we finally got there they happily seated us and provided excellent service. 5 stars ++ Bob

We came in with high hopes because the patio looked beautiful and seemed like a great place to…read morerelax. Unfortunately the experience did not really match the setting. When I asked to sit outside there was a little confusion at the front, which set the tone. Once we were seated it took about ten minutes before anyone came to the table, and when chips and salsa arrived there were no plates at all. The drinks were also a bit disappointing. My IPA came with an old rotten orange slice on the rim, and my father in law ordered a michelada that was served as a full glass of clamato with a separate beer, and he had to mix it himself in another glass they brought later. We also noticed that the word "fresh" had been crossed off the entire menu, so when I ordered ceviche I asked if they were still using fresh lime. I was assured they were, but when it arrived it had almost no flavor until I added a lot of hot sauce. Overall it feels like the restaurant just needs more care and attention to detail, which starts with leadership and training. The patio is great and this place could easily be much better with a little effort. To be fair, our server was very kind and helpful, and she honestly earned them an extra star. For now I would probably try another Mexican restaurant in the area and hope this one improves, because it really could be a nice spot.
