The vise did not come in its original sealed packaging. It was delivered from another SW store, which they wrapped in literally trash. The vise looked used and when you buy anything new it comes with paper work (manual, accessories, warranty, etc), but supposedly according to their website it was shipped from another SW store and was probably a used or turned in by another unhappy customer. I took pictures of the packaging and the store manager at the Farmington NM store didn't have an explanation or offer me any options. This is very concerning and disappointing. I was so upset that I wrote to the SW customer service as soon as I left the store, which was within 5 mins, that's how upset I was. It takes years to build a good customer relationship, but it only takes a few mins to lose a loyal customer. Update: 5/16/24 Today a member from the Sportsman's Warehouse management team reached out to me and I was glad I got an actual call back and they explained what had happened and clarified some questions. Happy to say that SW took ownership of their mistake. I'm glad that I'll continue to be a loyal customer.

I purchased a hand gun and a red dot from GFTW. Before the purchase, their people showed me how…read morethe gun has a cover plate that can be removed to access mounting pins and holes. They showed how the red dot would be mounted and still allow use of iron sights. After the wait period, I went back and paid for the gun and sight. I had GFTW install the sight. Instead of mounting it properly, they mounted it on top of the cover plate. This blocked the iron sights. I complained that this was wrong. They just replied that I need extended sights. When I got home, I fixed the faulty installation. I also emailed them to complain of the poor service. The response from GFTW was that I am "NOT A CUSTOMER ANYMORE" and that "WE DID NOTHING WRONG". The staff at GFTW is clearly incompetent and they do not stand behind their work. Shop somewhere else.

All experience levels will enjoy themselves if they book a fishing guide through this lodge. I will talk about the fishing experience but first I will talk about the lodge. We stayed 3 nights... a Thursday, Friday and Saturday in mid September. The weather was absolutely beautiful. The entire lodge was booked for our group. Breakfast and dinner were provided each night and the food was really good. They were able to accommodate dietary restrictions and preferences. The rooms are very simple but they have everything you need. The beds are very firm. I found my bed to be very comfortable. There is a decent sized kitchen including a large fridge and microwave and coffee maker. Coffee was included. The bathroom had basic shower toiletries. There were a lot of towels. Each room had a tv and two recliners. Very nice for relaxing. There is a rec room with a lot of games and big tv. FISHING: OMG! What a beautiful and tranquil experience. The guides are all very experienced. All of the guides in our group provided us with a nice lunch. I would ask about that if you book. I didn't do any of the booking on this trip but I understand that all of the guides were booked through the lodge. Our guide was Brad. He was very helpful when it came to teaching us how to cast and mend our lines, etc. We learned that the minimum appropriate tip is $50 per person so don't forget to tip :-)
