When I picked up my rental car at the airport, they didn't have any midsize vehicles that I had reserved, only a very small Mitsubishi. Figuring I'd be an easy customer. I took the Mitsubishi. Huge mistake!! Since I got the car, it has been making a very concerning noise with the transmission. I'm worried the car is going to stall out while I'm on the freeway!! Since I am staying 40 minutes from the airport, I took the car to the enterprise location closest to me and requested a swap. Pretty standard no-frills not asking for an upgrade, just to swap to a car that feels SAFE at the very least. I was met at the counter with an attitude saying there is nothing they can do because there system is down, then they tell me they can't communicate with the airport location because they don't have a phone? I showed them the phone number on my contract, to which they said I should call them. Cut to me getting a half assed customer service call, no service from the actual location, late to my job site where I will now work in the heat since I wasted my time this morning. AND still in the horrible car!! Hugely disappointing thanks for nothing enterprise.

Hunter from Enterprise was at Bonfe with the car on time which was nice. He was in the usual Enterprise Uniform. He was pleasant and we went out to the car. We looked the car over and I did note a ding on the rear driver side back door. Hunter tells me " It's OK; They won't charge for that anyways, we don't need to put that down. I must say I am leary of this comment now as I read these reviews but we finish the inspection, I give him a card for a deposit of $50 and I drive off. The car makes horrible rattling noises from the rear end but I really don't care as I won't be driving that much but I cannot believe Hunter did not feel how shaky the car was on his way over. Later that day, Hunter calls and says my card declined for the $200 deposit. What? You said you were only taking a $50 deposit. Having had worked at Enterprise 20 years ago, and seeing customers so angry because of Enterprise charging their cards for more than agreed, I purposely gave them a card with only around 100 on it just in case....Who tries to run a card for more than what was agreed upon without calling first? He then tells me Farmers doesn't have the direct bill set up... SO....I have to take care of this, call and email Farmers, they email me assuring me that direct bill is set up. I call Hunter back to inform him of this and all he says is "Ok, sounds good, I will run the $50 on the card." Ummm....Don't you want the person's name from Farmers I talked to?? The reservation number?? Nope....Ok..Buh Bye... Other than the shaky, rattling, car the week is whizzing by, and all is well...Until Jess, from Enterprise, leaves my daughter a message on her cell phone about the direct bill being denied...I call Jess back and ask her why she called Ci who is not even old enough to rent a car, when my number is on the contract and Hunter was dealing with this on Monday and it was all taken care of. "We have searched our system and nothing is there" We need full payment on the rental before noon tomorrow"... and by the way, your card denied for $200 but went through for $50. Uh huh...That's what I was told the deposit was. I tell her I already went through this with Hunter on Monday and after some snotty banter between the two of us, she agrees to take down the Farmers Claims rep's name, number, reservation number, and try to figure this out. In the meantime, I get another email from Farmers telling me they have no idea why Enterprise keeps saying its denied, the claim/reservation is in my name as well as Ciarra's. I feel sorry for the Farmers Claims rep who I wish I could yelp and award five stars! More to come......Well, I hope not but either they will finally get this straight with Farmers or they will sneak into my garage in the dark of night and take back the black rattler. *Only giving two stars because Hunter was on time and he was very pleasant. Its not his fault, he probably was not trained properly.*

Check-in and pick-up was very smooth. It's always great when they Sentras and Corollas available to rent. The return was good. However, on the return, I wish the signs to indicate which lane to turn into for the return would start sooner. I almost missed the turn off for the return once I got into the return garage. Also, I wish they would put side trash cans in the return lanes like they do in TPA. I would absolutely rent from this location again if I came back to MN.

There was a substantial line of customers waiting, yet only one person appeared to be handling check-ins. For a major airport rental location, especially during a busy travel period, this level of staffing is unacceptable and feels very unprofessional. Travelers arriving after delayed flights are already exhausted and trying to get to their destinations; having to stand in another lengthy line because the counter is inadequately staffed only makes the situation worse. Enterprise should anticipate passenger volume and staff the counter appropriately. A reservation should make the rental process easier--not become another major delay after a difficult travel day. Very disappointing experience.

I would've loved anything but white. I usually get a free upgrade offer but this time all the upgrades were paid only-I took a pass and stuck with the Bimmer. Service was friendly and quick. Car was in good condition with lower miles. Pick up of the car was seamless and fast with easy exit from the garage. More inventory and free upgrade given they didn't have the Mercedes would have been good.

Unfortunately, I had a major problem after returning the vehicle. On July 28, I received an invoice from Sixt for $614.25 for damage to the front passenger-side aluminum rim, described as a scratch. I am absolutely certain this damage did not occur while I had the vehicle. Unfortunately, I did not think to take pictures of all four wheels when I picked up the car. When I contacted Sixt to dispute the charge, I was told that Sixt was not required to provide proof that the wheel was in perfect condition when I received the vehicle and that documenting the condition of the car was my responsibility. As a result, they refused to remove the charge. This is extremely frustrating. I have rented cars from many companies over the years, but I have never experienced a situation where I was charged hundreds of dollars for damage that I am confident was already present--and then told that the burden was entirely on me to prove otherwise. My strong recommendation: use extreme caution if renting from Sixt. If you do rent from them, I strongly recommend taking a video of the entire vehicle before leaving the lot, along with individual photos of all four wheels/rims and every part of the exterior and interior. Do not assume that any existing damage will be properly documented by Sixt. The initial rental experience was fine, but the way this damage claim was handled has completely changed my opinion of the company. I will not be using Sixt again.
