The employee just brought a Rogue around without even asking if I wanted a car. I figured it was the same deal as last time. $115 charge later for the upgrade, I learned it was not the same deal. I explained last time I got a free upgrade and was just told "that was a different contract." While the person I talked to, whom I am assuming was the manager, was not rude, I wouldn't call her customer-friendly and she didn't offer to explain the variance in rentals. If you aren't going to offer the same free upgrade as last time, at least make sure employees gives the customer the option of getting what their insurance company will pay for. So between the 5 from the first experience and the 1 from this experience, I figured a 3 was a good rating for this Enterprise. Edited: I just talked to the new manager, Jacob. When we arrived they told us they did not have a car for us and that there was nothing they could do. Prior to picking up the rental car we received multiple confirmation & reminder emails telling us to pick our car up. They made no attempt to email us beforehand and let us know that there was a lack of availability on their end. Additionally, once they told us they did not have a car for us they did not offer to give us a refund (until I asked about it) or help in any way other than saying "you can try calling this 1-800 number to get a refund". The next several hours were spent attempting to get a refund from the Avis 1-800 number and locating another rental car at a different location so that we could get on with our travel plans. A terrible way to start a road trip and a baffling customer service experience, unlike any I've had before.

He then goes on to tell me "that I am no more special than any of the other 100 people that have reserved cars to pick up today".
