My boyfriend and I booked this for a weekend trip and had never been to the Reno/Tahoe area before. It was super convenient being right across the street from the airport. The communication from the team was great and they made sure to email and text us with any updates. Our flights were delayed to and from Reno and they were able to accommodate with pick up and drop off times. We really appreciated the great service and time from Corbin and his team. Corbin picked us up and dropped us off at the airport with ease and was even kind enough to share some local recommendations. We selected the jeep and although it didn't snow during our stay, we felt safer and happy that it drove incredibly smooth and was easy for my boyfriend to drive given that neither of us have jeeps. I needed to rent for a one way car down to Sac/ Having problems with the app, I called and they were able to reset my login. Rep. Also helped reserve and redeem.. My total cost was $2.25! To me, that beat taking the train for five hours ! The downside was the only awd vehicle was a jeep. I would have thought being in our town and going over the pass , they would have had more awd's.. Jeep was not a good fit for me.. driver seat too high and I really couldn't lower it. The clock was not set, and trying to learn the dash panel before getting in was frustrating.. (Coming from a Lexus.. it' was very different).. also the car had less than half a tank-not knowing how many miles or what the mpg was-.. had to take time out of my route to get gas.. Unfortunately, one star is generous based on how this situation was handled AND still is being…read morehandled. What ultimately earns the one-star review is the lack of ownership and follow-through. When errors made at the rental counter affect a customer's ability to handle an insurance claim, the customer should not have to repeatedly chase the company for answers and resolution. The original vehicle we received did not have a full tank of gas, was not properly cleaned, and had a check engine light on. Because of the condition of the vehicle, we had to return to Enterprise and exchange it for another one. My family member was the only person who would be driving the rental, which the employee assisting us was fully aware of. Her license was provided and reviewed, but the reservation was moved into my name because I had the credit card needed for authorization. Despite this, the reservation was not correctly set up to reflect her as the authorized driver, even though I originally booked it correctly with Expedia. That mistake became a much larger issue when I later needed documentation for an insurance claim. Despite repeated attempts to have the reservation corrected and obtain information regarding the damage incident report, communication and follow-up were extremely poor. The branch manager is the only one (so I'm told) that could fix any of these issues, yet never returned my numerous messages left with their staff. In my final phone conversation with the staff, I was told my deposit would be kept for the damages to the windshield and things were square. No longer needing to fix the reservation or worry about an insurance claim. Last week I received the update from the damage claim and an invoice for $310.

While the vehicle was there they made good communication and informed me of issues they came across they fixed all that was covered by free coverage. And they also recommended other minor replacements that were not covered like spark plugs and I also need tires they gave me a very reasonable quote for parts and labor. Since then he has been my mechanic and has kept in repair both of my vehicles. He fixes everything that is wrong and does it promptly and at a fair price. He loves cars, and you learn that by watching how he works. He is interested in the whole vehicle not in just dealing with a current issue. He loves making vehicles work the way they should. In town, he is the "go to" guy for major issues with BMWs. He will change an engine for a car as easily as most mechanics change brake pads. I trust him to do what needs to be done.

My car experienced pretty immediate engine failure. I went back and forth with the dealership. Instead, arriving at the Reno-Tahoe Airport counter at 12:30 AM on September 11th turned into the absolute worst car rental experience I have ever had. When we got to the counter, we were abruptly told that they had no cars available--despite our advance reservation and payment. To make matters worse, the staff repeatedly refused to take accountability, hiding behind the excuse that "it was because of Burning Man." Every single other car rental agency at the airport had vehicles ready for clients who had booked in advance. Thrifty was the only one that completely failed to honor their obligations. Because of their negligence, we were left completely stranded in the middle of the night and had to shell out $130 for an Uber just to get to Incline Village. The poor service didn't stop there: Empty Promises: The agent took down our phone number and promised they would call us the next morning to resolve the issue. They never called. Refusal to Help: When we followed up, they claimed there was no way they could deliver the car or come pick us up from our location. Ruined Trip: Being stranded without the transportation we paid for put a massive damper on our vacation, as we couldn't get around Lake Tahoe as planned. Thrifty displayed zero accountability, atrocious customer service, and total disregard for prepaid customers. They should absolutely make this right and refund our costs, but given how terribly this was handled, I doubt they care enough to fix it. Avoid this location at all costs!
