Booked this hotel back in Feb for BFF's annual birthday trip (usually to PS or Cat City) but we…read morewanted to go to a different city. The price was excellent (381.00 for a suite for 3 nights) & we ended up getting a 2 bedroom suite instead of a one bedroom for the same price! The entire property was very clean and serviced very well (on-site service changing light bulbs and other maintenance items). Property is older (furniture, some light staining on carpets, etc); however, room was very comfortable. Our suite had a kitchen (minus the stove) and all the cookware but oddly they did not provide reg dish soap or dishwashing detergent. Property offers a small gym as well as a laundry room (which is complimentary, albeit due to the military personnel staying there) so that was awesome! The downside was both were not very clean and it did not seem like employees spent much time cleaning them (they adjoined each other). Washers and dryers worked really well though! There is an outdoor pool with tables and BBQ grills, which was very nice if you are planning on doing some cooking. They also have a complimentary breakfast every morning and it was pretty decent with different types of egg dishes and either bacon or sausage, waffle fries/potatoes, waffle station, juice machine, a variety of breads, yogurt, granola, cereal, coffee. Plenty of tables to sit at and the employees kept everything stocked and clean. Front desk team was amazing and super friendly! They never felt like you were bothering them and were so kind, warm, and welcoming. Rooms were not supposed to be serviced, just light housekeeping on certain days but our room was. I believe parking is 10.00/day which I feel it should not be as it is in a regular area and plenty of parking, but, hey, it was still very affordable for all the amenities and excellent service. The property is also fairly close to downtown and if you have some time you can take their free BRIO transit buses to downtown (approx 33 min). We used LYFT most of the time to avoid having to find parking and the hassle of getting a large SUV rental (all the agency had). Definitely recommend this place!

The kitchenette is sufficient to longer stays. Front desk staff weren't always at the front desk and in the back but when I went to the front desk, they noticed me immediately. But one lady wasnt the most friendly. The bad...as i mentioned i went to the front desk a few times. My keycard would stop working randomly. It was extremely frustrating. It happened to me 3 times in my 2 nigjt stay. There were crumbs outside in the hallway in front of my door upon my arrival. I stayed 2 nights, the crumbs were there upon my departure which tells me the staff doesnt vacuum daily or even every other day. The food in the morning was cold and dry. I arrived at midnight via Uber from the airport so I just wanted to go shower and straight to bed. I was hungry the next morning. The waffle maker timer is broken so I had to estimate how long is was cooking my waffles before I noticed it wasnt counting down. Lastly, there was a bug in my room...ill stop short of identifying it as a roach but ive attached a photo.

The room way ok, it was advertised as a 2 bedroom suite but it was just 1 bedroom with a door that separated the livingroom area. There was a lot of road noise from the freeway right outside. The bedding did not get changed. I asked them again and they gave me bedding to change it myself. When I took the sheet off, I saw a large urine stain on the mattress protector. So I just took that off. Then I went to wash my hands and there was no soap. I had to go back downstairs and request that as well. They did give me an extra bottle of water for my troubles though. The room was pretty run down and clearly not well cleaned. The shower curtain rod sagged in the middle so I couldn't close the shower curtain when I showered and got water everywhere. The towels were very stiff, had a bit of a smell to them and were stained. I honestly didn't want to use them. The gym was decent. 2 treadmills, 2 electrical, and a peleton. Breakfast was not so great. I had a made to order omelet but it just wasn't good. Neither was anything else I tried. I did appreciate that the mattress was a softer one instead of the firm mattresses you usually get at hotels. And the water for showers did get really hot which I love. I booked a room next to the stairwell as I prefer stairs to the elevator but the stairwell exit/entrance is on the outside with no re-entry. So you can go down them but can't go up them. I didn't get a chance to go to the daily evening reception but it looked pretty popular. All in all, this hotel needs some TLC and I would advise anyone to book accommodations elsewhere.

There were definitely some highlights: the restaurant was excellent, and the orange juice was genuinely some of the best I've ever had. The valet service was fantastic as well--I never had to worry about parking, and the staff were always friendly and helpful. The gym was also well-equipped, with towels provided, a good variety of equipment, and even a Pilates machine. Unfortunately, my experience with the front desk staff, particularly a morning employee named Edgar, left a very negative impression. On more than one occasion, I returned to the hotel and stood outside the entrance for 15-20 minutes waiting to be let in. He had seen me leave earlier and could clearly see me waiting at the door, yet made no effort to assist. Beyond that, his overall demeanor came across as passive-aggressive and unwelcoming. It's disappointing because the rest of the property and staff were great, and I genuinely enjoyed many aspects of my stay. However, customer service at the front desk is a major part of the guest experience, and this behavior was completely unacceptable. I would consider staying here again, but management should address this issue if they want guests to feel welcomed and valued.

Yes please and thank you very much! I don't even get this hospitality when I stay at my sister's house! Our room was very spacious with a view of downtown El Paso and the mountain. The area is walkable, updated pedestrian friendly street with shops and restaurants. Next time I'm in town I'm buying my LUCCHESE'S! Why? Because their shop is right across the street! So get your boots! For dinner or drinks you have so many options! We went up to the rooftop lounge and enjoyed a cocktail with a view of the twinkling lights of the city. Wow! For dinner there's a steakhouse next to the lounge and get ready to dress to impress! You'll see many men dressed in their black cowboy hats and dinner jackets! Since we were more on the casual side from our road trip we had some to-go dinners from the lobby bar menu. All delicious and devoured! Get the steak! You're in Texas! For breakfast we ate at the adjacent restaurant with an outdoor patio. Since it was a little cooler we sat indoors. We didn't order the $30 per person buffet, we ordered off the menu. But our order took about 45 minutes. Ugh! But our waitress was quick to make things right and she took care of things accordingly. Overall we had an epic stay in this beautiful friendly city! What an absolute gem in downtown El Paso! My husband and I…read morespent three days at Hotel Paso del Norte, and our experience was excellent from beginning to end. This beautifully restored historic hotel has so much character, elegance, and personality. It manages to preserve the grandeur of another era while offering the comfort and sophistication of a modern luxury hotel. We stayed in a south-facing king room, and it was wonderful! The room was beautifully appointed, comfortable, and inviting, with lovely views that made our stay even more enjoyable. It was the perfect place to return to after spending our days exploring El Paso. The architecture and interior design throughout the property are stunning. The famous stained-glass Tiffany dome is especially impressive, and the common areas have an atmosphere that makes you want to linger rather than simply pass through. This is not your typical cookie-cutter hotel. It has a distinctive identity and a genuine sense of place. But the true standout was the front desk personnel. Absolutely exceptional! Every interaction was warm, professional, gracious, and welcoming. Their attentiveness and genuine hospitality made us feel appreciated throughout our stay. That level of customer service deserves recognition because it elevates an already beautiful property into a truly memorable experience. The downtown location is another plus, with restaurants, entertainment, and local attractions conveniently nearby. After three days, we left feeling that we had made an excellent choice. Hotel Paso del Norte offers the perfect combination of historic charm, modern comfort, beautiful surroundings, and outstanding hospitality. A special thank-you to the front desk team for making our visit so enjoyable. Miss Vicki was exceptionally helpful on our car ride there confirming our reservation and making sure we got the room we wanted. You are wonderful ambassadors for this beautiful hotel! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily return. Five stars, without hesitation!

Then, at approximately 4 AM on 9/6, someone attempted to enter my room. They were able to get past the deadbolt, and only the interior wall latch prevented them from fully entering. They tried twice to open and only left when I yelled "wrong room". I was terrified. After already having housekeeping enter my room because of an incorrect room status, having someone get past the deadbolt in the middle of the night completely destroyed my sense of safety. I had to leave and pay out of pocket for another hotel. Brianna, the employee who checked me in and whose check-in error led to the overnight security breach, was also rude and unapologetic when I checked out the following day. Given the seriousness of what happened, I expected concern, accountability, and an apology. Management also never called me to f/u. Despite having to leave because I no longer felt safe, my stay has not been refunded, and I was left paying for both the original stay and alternative accommodations. This was not a minor customer service issue. Multiple errors resulted in unauthorized access to an occupied room, including someone getting past the deadbolt at 4 AM. I would not stay at this property again. Management needs to seriously review its room status, check-in, key access, and guest safety procedures.
