Mazda dealership in fact suggested going here as it was probably something to do with some kind of broken seal that they would likely send out anyway and I'm so glad I did! John, the owner, could've gouged me for a lot more money like most dealerships would have and I never would've known. Instead, he was honest and straight up. Had the problem figured out in about 10 min, told me to go buy the parts myself and save their markup, and it would be an easy fix he'd have done in about half an hour. True to his word, I was in and out, and all for an EXTREMELY reasonable cost. I also have a cracked driver's' side mirror that I've been avoiding fixing as it was too expensive through Mazda, but I've now ordered one through Apple as I know it'll be another fast and easy fix. Being new to Nanaimo, so happy I lucked out finding these guys on my first repair and can't recommend them enough. Love "service" businesses that get that taking a little less up front almost always guarantees long-term relationships in the end. I will definitely use Apple for any other repairs and wanted to take a minute and commend them for their excellent service, rates, and honesty. You generally assume you're being screwed somehow when it comes to most car repairs. Really nice to leave an auto shop with the exact opposite feeling. Keep up the great work!

Made an appointment for the next day, came in had the work done quickly and expertly. They were very easy to deal with and I will definitely go back in the future should I need work done on my windshield.

His 30 years of re/re cooling units has helped with his quick and thorough work. He has learned the "secrets" of the trade, both good and bad. In my research, Roger's prices are the most reasonable, and he will find a way to save the customer money. Roger is the "MacGyver" of fixing anything. In his mind's eye, he sees a solution from beginning to end, and can explain it to the customer. For example, if it's a broken plastic part, he will make a new one out of aluminum and explain how he intends to install it. He has a huge collection of old fridges on site that allow him quick access to swap-out replacement parts. This is especially important if the customer has an older fridge where parts are no longer manufactured. He is very accommodating, and will go out of his way to help get the work done in an emergency. As a bonus, I left his place with a basket full of transparent apples from his apple tree. Today I'm making lots of apple crisp. I'd give Roger 6-stars if yelp allowed 6-stars.

I tried to glue it using gorilla glue but it only held for a short time. Unable to reconnect with the maker I wasn't sure how to get it repaired. Then I considered contacting an upholstery shop. This business was the first one I called and asked if they could help. He encouraged me to bring it by for a look and would see if he could stitch it for me. He worked on the purse for about 10 minutes and was able to not only stitch the problem side but also stitched the other side that was showing signs of the stitching letting go. I am sooooo happy with the repair and his willingness to help with such a small issue. I appreciated his kindness and professionalism fixing my purse while I waited. He charged me a very modest fee and it was certainly worth much more to me, as I had spent so much on something I thought was turning out to be wasted money. I love my purse and now use it without any worries.

It was just to the left of center in my windshield (looking out from the driver's seat). I pulled into Speedy Glass at 6450 North Island Hwy and was told by the tech that the chip was not repairable, ICBC would not cover it, and I had to get my windshield replaced. I had just replaced my windshield 5 months earlier, and due to the age of my vehicle, I had been told I had already gotten the last available windshield in Canada. So, I said, what was I to do? He told me to go to Woodgrove and talk to the guy in the parking lot that does repairs. I was not impressed, so I waited until I got home to Port Alberni, and contacted Speedy Glass in Port Alberni, they took one look at my chip, said it could be repaired no problem, got me an appointment for the afternoon that day, and repaired it. ICBC did cover it and It looked amazing, way better than I had hoped. I do NOT recommend the Speedy Glass in North Nanaimo, they're just out to scam you. Port Alberni Speedy is awesome!
