I ordered a 40-yard dumpster, but a 30-yard dumpster was delivered instead., I was still charged for the 40-yard size. What should have been a quick and straightforward task turned into a time-consuming and costly effort, as I had to hire extra help to carefully and strategically load all of the construction debris accounting for every bit of space in order to fit into a smaller container. While the company did eventually refund the price difference between the 30 and 40-yard dumpsters, they offered no compensation for the added time and labor I had to incur due to their error. There was no gesture of professional courtesy or attempt to make the situation right beyond the overcharge refund. Everyone makes mistakes, but it's how a company responds to those mistakes that truly defines their customer service. In this case, Budget Dumpster fell short. I expected better. Had they attempted to make it right, I would truly consider using them again knowing because I would have praised their integrity. They did not show any integrity. Not a company I would support. First, we were called at 6:50 AM to tell us a dumpster was here in a residential neighborhood! Unacceptable. They delivered a dilapidated piece of junk with no rubber wheels. We used a CC that we NEVER use - called it in over the phone. The next day, the card was used in Ohio attempting to make a $1400 purchase at an Apple store. We scheduled for the pick up for 12-29 and received a confirmation - we are now being told that we have to wait until 1-3-24. Unacceptable as we have deliveries being made and contractors and it is in our way. So we are held hostage by this dumpster for an additional 4 days - We reschedule contractors to come on the 3rd and now - they pick up on the 2nd despite all of their emails saying they cannot pick up until the 3rd. Wish I had read all of the negative reviews BEFORE using this company! I have a contract that says a 10 yd dumpster - 3 tons - looking at reviews a 20 yd is not 3 tons and people are being over charged. I've never used a dumpster service before and hopefully won't have to again. (It's a lot of work filling a 25 yard dumpster. They hold a LOT of junk.) But if I need one again, I'll definitely use Budget Dumpster. They delivered it on the day they said they would, albeit late in the afternoon. The driver was excellent and worked hard to squeeze it in the driveway. You can keep it for up to 10 days, but I didn't realize there was a 4 day "window" for the pickup, so we actually had it 3 extra days after I scheduled the pickup. Also, we didn't realize the one we ordered was not a "roll off" type with those small metal wheels, ours had large truck tires so we had to lift everything up 4'. Next time we'd get the short one. Anyway, the price was nice and there were no extra charges so we're pretty happy! read more

Scheduled and PAID for a dumpster to be delivered on a Saturday (yes, the company rep stated they deliver Saturday) for a job starting Monday morning. They gave me a 12 hour window for delivery. I contacting these guys because GROOT failed to deliver my dumpster on the Friday before the weekend. Budget Dumpster never came even though my CC was charged. We even called mid afternoon to get an ETA and the rep on the phone stated that the dispatch had their phones off. Phones off- WTH?!? Called back the next day (Sunday) and spoke to another company rep who looked up my address. She stated that there are no dumpsters available until at least Tuesday. Basically, I was lied to about the dumpster and then given a song and dance. I should of read the NUMEROUS website reviews (Yelp, BBB, etc) before contacting this company. My first contact was very helpful and scheduled delivery based on my schedule. The delivery person was very nice and placed the dumpster where I needed. I ended up needing to extend the length of time I had the dumpster. The late fee was extremely reasonable. Pick up was done on time and without incident. Two months later I was sent a second bill for an additional $423.60 for what they claimed was "overage" in weight in the second dumpster. It is NOT PHYSICALLY POSSIBLE to have the 2nd dumpster's contents weigh 2/3 more that the 1st since they were both filled to the same capacity from the same dirt pile!!! I called and entered into a binding contract with Budget Dumpster for a dumpster to be delivered to my home. The representative that I spoke with was very friendly and helpful while going through the set up/reservation process. He advised me that there was a deal going on to get a larger dumpster for about the same price that I was going to pay for the smaller one so I accepted the offer. They sent me the contract, invoice etc. and I paid in FULL the same day of the offer (about a week before the delivery). Thereafter, Budget Dumpster failed to deliver the dumpster timely and breached the contractual agreement. In fact, they were supposed to deliver between 6:30am and 6:30pm and I received a call at 8am on the date of delivery advising that it would not be delivered as they did not have inventory. I spoke with several representatives and escalated it to the manager whom I spoke with multiple times that day with no resolution. Keep in mind I had crews coming out the following morning and now no where to put brush that we were planning on putting in the dumpster. The failure by Budget Dumpster was not related to inclement weather, hazardous roads and/or driving conditions, traffic delays, motor vehicle accidents, delays at landfills and equipment failure. The issue was negligence, gross negligence and breach of contract by Budget Dumpster. At a minimum, Budget Dumpster was grossly negligent in the vendor selections and the lack of follow up until after the scheduled delivery date and time. I suffered damages in excess of $750 for an increased cost for a smaller dumpster, multiple dumps required and additional labor costs for the work completed. I had an attorney assist and the amount to currently make me whole is now $943.00 due to additional attorney's fees now incurred as a result of the refusal to issue payment from Budget Dumpster. I called to rent a dumpster and was renting a 10 cubic and after we went over what I thought were all the terms I was told they have to deliver a bigger one. Of course it comes and is too big for the space so we make room. I was told pick up on a Saturday, sound good. I call 2 days before pick up to schedule it and I am told it's going to $75 to pick it up on my date, which was disclosed when I paid. So I ask for pick up the next day and they say call back tomorrow to schedule. I call today and am told no pick ups all weekend. I have to have it out and they say they will send a message to a supervisor customer service has no access to anyone. They nickle and dime you to death with charges over "your time limit" if you keep it for more than 2 weeks, then come up with additional charges because their drivers are idiots. We contracted with this sham company to get a dumpster and they looked at the property on their computer and told us it would be no problem getting the dumpster on the site (45 minutes away from my location). We went ahead and hired a crew of people to remove trash from the house where the dumpster was to be set. On the day the work was to be done we arrived with our crew and no dumpster was there. We called this sham company and they told us they tried to deliver the dumpster the day before and they couldn't get it on the site. No call nothing. We had to pay our crew for a full day's work b/c this sham company didn't tell us the dumpster wasn't delivered. They didn't even apologize. They accept business and your money, but fail to deliver service and want to charge the customer foe their failure to deliver. Ordered the dumpster on Sept 30, 2022 for delivery on October 6. Dumpster was not delivered and I called customer service. They told me they would follow up. They never did. October 7 has come and gone and I have called them twice today. I waited all day for my dumpster to be delivered even called your Customer Care Dept several times today to be told it's on it was coming today but they can't give me a delivery time. These times were 12:39 and 3:12 pm. At 3:12 I was told that dispatch would be contacted and I would receive a text with an update of deliver. I never did. At 5:25 I called again only to be told that I wasn't getting a dumpster today despite my delivery date as shown above in my confirmation date but instead Monday. I told Maggie (I believe that was who I talked to that time) that Monday delivery would not work for me as I already had folks scheduled to come help me this weekend to clear the house. I am single and can not do this without help. She stated that she would escalate and that she would call me back. She never did. I called back again at 6:12 and was told it was still being escalated and then again. Elaine told me at 7:22 that they were asking a supervisor to give me a call but it would likely be next week before that would happen - she could do nothing to help me with my problem... a lack of a dumpster despite the order acknowledgement I had. Really, customers with emergencies have to wait until next week? I did contact Zach L, the sales man that sold me the dumpster rental. He said he knew nothing about a window of delivery and that he expected it to be delivered today. He was nice enough to call me on his day off. If there is truly a window, someone from your company should have called me ahead of time and told me that it wouldn't be delivered today, surely scheduling is done prior to the day of delivery. Also, I called twice and was told it was coming, why wouldn't your Customer Care team have known that it wasn't? How do you expect people to schedule people and work if they have to guess when you will be keeping up your end of your commitment? I have contacted Wall Recycling who is your service provider I understand for dumpsters to the Hillsborough area. They were closed by the time I received this information. I have left them a message and will follow up with a call in the morning when they open. This is unacceptable service to a customer. I am sure that you will agree. I hope that a deep dive will be done on what happened here and that you will get back with me. I also hope that a remedy will be worked out quickly tomorrow. As said, I can do nothing with this dumpster if the 12 days starts Monday 3/28. I will expect a FULL REFUND if that is the case and not a partial. DOZENS! I have easily rented dozens of dumpsters from these people over the past 3+ years. So this is definitely a "voice of experience" speaking. Customer service: very good. Never had a problem charging it on my credit card, scheduling a delivery date or arranging for pick up. I did have ONE time when it wasn't delivered on time. I called them and it was delivered later that day. Costs: reasonable. There are cheaper places out there, but I'll pay to slighter higher fees for the service I get. Additional costs: I think this is a problem, but not for them but rather for people getting small dumpsters and not realizing how heavy stuff can be. Sofas, dressers, mattresses...they can add weight big and fast. In summary, I am pretty confident with these people. Outlandish Overweight Charge The latest of 3 times using Budget Dumpster is the only time I have encountered an issue with their company. I have found their delivery and pickup service to be within tolerance. I have no argument with paying for the extra days use of the dumpsters. I do, however, disagree with an overweight charge of $195.00. They hold the 10 yard dumpster to 1 ton. I received an email 8/27 (after the dumpster was picked up 8/14) indicating they received the weight ticket on my dumpster was 4 tons. There is no way my household trash weighed 8000 pounds in a 75% filled dumpster. I disputed the charge with Budget Dumpster. They advised they would provide the weight ticket, which has yet to appear. I have contested the charge with my credit card company and will be seeking another provider for future use. read more

I found this company when the original place that I was planning to rent a dumpster from did not have availability when I was ready to replace my roof. The initial person I spoke to was very helpful with assisting me in choosing the correct size for my project. All terms were conveyed over the phone and in writing. The dumpster was delivered on time and picked up promptly when I was done. I did go over the allotted tonnage but I knew that I would and that I would be billed later. I was only charged an additional $70 per ton which I felt was reasonable. On top of all that I got a bigger dumpster at the same price that the other place quoted me for. Horrible company! We recently used this company to clean out a home. The first issue was that the company couldn't deliver a container in a 24 hour period ( as stated on their website). Second issue: We called for pick up on a Friday before noon. It was stated that they could not come to pick up till the following Monday, due to the fact it was their "busy season". In fact the container was not picked up till Tuesday. During the lag time it rained for 2 straight days. The rain soaked the household. items thus causing them to be weighed down. The container that we filled (with level top....not heaping) was soaked. And it was claimed by the company the container weighed 2x as much . As a result we have been charged close to $100. extra for rain water. When I made the inquiry as to this dilemma no clear explanation was given to proper pick up time. A pittance refund was offered. We do not recommend using this so called "professional company" as they are anything but professional. read more

The first time I called, the person I spoke with on the phone was super friendly and made things very simple for me to get a dumpster to my house. I was impressed with the ease of ordering a dumpster for my fall cleanup job (my house) I had planned. Also, I was happy with the price that was offered to me for the size dumpster needed. I was not too happy that there was a 12 hour window that I was expected to keep my driveway completely open for the delivery of the dumpster. Equally, I was told that I would get a call when the dumpster was enroute, and was surprised when the driver showed up with no warning. But she was very friendly and the dumpster was placed no problem. The company gave me 10 days for a flat rate which I was very happy about. Equally, they took electronics, and I got to ditch some outdated televisions, that treadmill the wife never used (she got a gym membership), and a ton of old furniture that we were going to refurbish, but never did. This is the reason I gave them 3 stars instead of 4. I called on a Tuesday to get the dumpster picked up on Wednesday. I was told that there was a 12 hour window that the dumpster might be picked up Wednesday OR Thursday, and that the driveway was expected to be clear, and the driver may OR may not call ahead, and if there was a car blocking the dumpster, I could be charged $150 without the driver making any effort to see if any one could move the obstacle. I asked about that and was told "some drivers may just take a picture and move on." I found that to be extremely unfair as I have a small driveway, and my wife, and two kids, and my self all have cars. With that, we had to park on the street in the case that the driver came at any point. Unfortunately, the dumpster was not picked up on Wednesday, and when I called, the young lady on the phone was NOT sympathetic, even though I was very polite in my concerns. Overall, I feel that I have given the company a fair rating.
