Of the five times we have rented from this location, none have broken down (that has happened other places) and I have had zero issues returning cars. What I don't like... has nothing to do with this particular location, it has to do with the company.... You reserve online. You receive confirmation of what you reserved. You are happy about your choice of cars. You get there and often they don't have what you reserved. This makes you disappointed, sad. This has happened at every branch enterprise we have used. Even this one. We were suppose to have a mid-full sized SUV... what wasnt here was a Nissan (oh so tiny) or a big honking Tacoma. We took the truck.... Which is super nice, but not what we had in mind. This happens to us at every Enterprise, so it seems like its no longer a coincidence. Lol. When we rent a car at Sixt this never happens. Ever. Sadly, Sixt isnt in Ohio so we will keep going here as the manager is amazing here and she takes good care of our rental needs.

My insurance made the reservation and sent me a confirmation email for the rental. I had been in an accident and totaled my truck. I called the location to confirm a pickup time, and they told me I could get a vehicle after 3:30 PM. I called back at 2:30 PM to verify my rental, but the manager rudely, disrespectfully, and condescendingly told me that I hadn't verified my rental early enough and that I would have to wait until the next day, maybe he would have me a car then. I was stranded and 500 miles from home. The lackluster customer service and deficient social skills of the manager were unacceptable

I was accused of being in a stolen Hertz vehicle during my rental period; but, I recall Hertz being able to figure out their error over the phone & not requiring me to bring the vehicle back early, etc., so I choose to leave no review vs a poor review & frankly 1 of the employees was so blatantly nasty & unprofessional that it rose to comedic heights. I happened to have a very humorous friend with me the day I returned the never-stolen while in my care vehicle & when he finished talking about them (after we left), I laughed so hard that I felt a tad sorry for their professional limitations....until today. Today, I went to rent a vehicle (from an entirely different location, selected by the body shop) & I was told they can't rent to me because I am on a list of prohibited renters "suspended privileges list" due to my last rental "being stolen" & me giving them difficulty in filing a police report. I do think that the ladies present at this location were fully capable of continuing to give me the awesome service they were providing; until the system flag was discovered. At that point, it was out of their hands, but, I did expect that the area Manager (Roy Snowden) would be empowered to solve his employee &/or "system" generated problem,, instead, I was told on a Friday to contact "the only person that can help" on Monday. The level of professional & personal inconvenience, humiliation, embarrassment, trauma, & yet unrealized toll this has caused me, my family, & even friends at this point necessitates that I contact the representing attorneys in the 2022 settlement & others for good measure ASAP. My experience with Hertz has been the definition of unprofessional & bush league through and through (except for the two professional, yet, powerless to help employees I encountered at the Canal Winchester location today). They were both truly outstanding people & employees from my short, but, pleasant interaction with both of them. I was of course frustrated today, but, not really with either of them. The area manager on the other hand needs to have more tools in his tool belt to solve issues. Instead of being compassionate or sounding like he was even attempting to empathize with my pressing situation; he chose to scold me for apparently calling the past employee who put me in the system causing these issues, stupid & his opinion of my choice of words about the situation, Next year I will be 50 years old. When I understand that a man is unstable enough to attempt to correct my language & sounds as if he is personally offended & tells me what not to say; I know I'm not dealing with the standard of corporate professional that I've assumed by the title. Once I realized that he was taking my words personally & out of context; I lost hope in his professional acumen as well. Rant: The initial accusation occurred as I was renting via an insurance company by the way, which makes the entire car theft that much more insane in my mind eg. Similar to a corporate rental situation; it's just like wtf are you guys talking about at all whatsoever someone ain't too clever. How does one have the car stolen & then bring it back on schedule themselves & how can they "have difficulty" with me filing a police report on a vehicle that was never stolen & just so many questions for a competent attorney to delve into & change from my run on sentence & rant into that nice fancy writing of theirs. Then when you return the car, they will try to get you for a smoking fee when you don't smoke run from this place, this place is a go somewhere else.

This is in an odd location, in a run-down strip mall, but it's kinda handy for me and much easier…read morelogistically than going to the airport. You can leave your car here, and not hassle with traffic. It's very small, and I recommend reserving ahead- they don't have huge lots of cars to pick from if you just drop in and want a car right then. Service has been super helpful, and prices are decent- Hertz can be a bit expensive, but use AAA or look around for other discounts, and it becomes reasonable. Plus, I've never gotten the hard sell for upgrades or insurance. They offer, usually, but don't push like other places. Hours are more limited than other locations; I think it's pretty much Monday-Friday 9-5. Definitely geared toward business travellers, but if you plan ahead it can work out.

Two representatives from Hertz came to my work to drop off the car. One of them was nice, the other was condescending and rude. She informed me that because I only carry liability on my 12-year-old car that I would be charged to rent a car even though they should've all been covered by insurance due to the accident. Fast forward to the day that it needs to be returned I schedule a pick up for 3 PM and nobody came. It is now 3:45 PM and after 2 calls to hertz I finally got someone to tell me that they wouldn't be here today. My question is why did no one communicate that to me?!?!?!? I have wasted an entire hour sitting waiting on someone that was not even planning to come. This is not how you take care of customers.
