We rented a car through Alamo for a short trip to St. Louis this past weekend. We booked through…read morePriceline and they booked us with Alamo. It was about $50 a day for a sedan, and we had our pick of sedans. We went with a Hyundai Elantra. We were originally supposed to pick up the car at midnight Friday night, but our flights got so delayed that we didn't end up getting there until 2:30pm Saturday afternoon. We called to let them know and they said not to worry and that they hold reservations for 24 hours for that reason. We took the shuttle from the airport to the rental place, which was super convenient when we were exhausted and just wanted to be done with travel. We had two suitcases and two big moving boxes and they all fit on the luggage rack in the shuttle. We got to the rental place and were greeted by a friendly girl immediately. She worked with my partner to find and check in the reservation, then she showed us where to get our car. Once we got our car we were on our way. We didn't have any issues with the rental the whole time we had it. We prepaid for gas ($3.75/gal) and only used about half a tank during the trip. It was a bit tricky finding where to enter when we went to return the car. There is only one entrance for rental returns and it's not on the main street so it's easy to miss. We were tired and stressed and just wanted to get the car returned so we could get to the airport and struggling to find where to turn to return didn't help. Maybe better signage or communication would help, I'm not sure. The return process itself was very easy. We pulled up, got our stuff out, and the guy who met us there checked the car back in. The shuttle was about to leave but the driver saw us and waited which I really appreciated. He dropped us at the terminal and we were on our way. This was the second time I've used Alamo, the first being at the Phoenix airport. It was a smooth and easy process, and they didn't give us any issues. I'll probably keep using them as long as their prices remain competitive!

I usually go to the Costco travel site and book my rentals. They search for the best prices and…read morethen let you choose. The vehicle category we wanted, Alamo, was the least expensive. They take you out and give you a choice of vehicles. What kept this from being a 5-star review is that the counter was very understaffed. A busload of us were dropped off, and one staff member was working the counter. Another person sat behind a computer and waited on no one. She then packed her belongings and left. A few moments later, another person walked in, took the position, and we went from frozen molasses to molasses. Why this should not happen. Everyone on that bus had a reservation, and you gave them the flight number and your arrival time. They know how many renters are coming and the time. I would love to use the house insurance, but they charge way too much. Costco sells insurance that covers the car for a fraction of the cost. At checkout, the person warned us that if we had hail damage, we'd have to pay. Was this a scare tactic to force us to purchase the inflated insurance? Alamo is a subsidy of Enterprise Leasing.

Charles was very informative about the benefits of buying a used car with the factory warranty still in place. He helped her figure out the price of certain things like changing belts and general upkeep. She was able to make a very informed decision about what to buy. She ended up with a 2011 Ford Focus SEL which has seat warmers (she won't do without them) and several bells and whistles. Great car. NO pressure. NO hard selling. Good coffee! I felt she was well taken care of and genuinely would recommend them to anyone.

I have used Shriji in the past but a recent experience with a complicated booking reinforced my…read morefaith in their professionalism and integrity. I had booked an earlier ticket with a different travel agent and had to cancel at the last minute due to a family situation. The other agent made things difficult by not helping in anyway and in turn losing me money in the process. Finally after many calls to the airline directly, I was issued a credit for the cancelled ticket. Recently when I planned to use the credit I realized it would be complicated and result in further loss of money due to archaic rules imposed by the airlines! I finally called Jignesh at Shriji having worked with him before and knowing he was an efficient and straightforward person. As expected Jignesh promptly booked me a ticket meeting my needs (multiple destinations). He went above and beyond and dealt with the airline directly and negotiated with them to waive a couple hundred dollars in fees and allow them to keep the booking which included partner airlines (this was not allowed as per the rules of my credit voucher). My out of pocket expense was minimal and the credit issued on the earlier ticket was applied entirely! These days when you can good find deals online, one wonders why a travel agent is needed. In my opinion, Jignesh proved why a good agent is invaluable and can do wonders for you and save you money... not to mention peace of mind!! Suffice to say my family's future travel plans will always include Shriji. Thank you for the great service!!

I contacted Dave with 3 options I was interested in and the next day I had prospective financing options on each one, enabling me to narrow my search down. I'll definitely be using Transtech again and highly recommend them over the dealer vulture salesman process.
