The CNAs, the "med" nurses, physical & occupational therapists, housekeeping- all have become like family during these past weeks. As a widow with no family here I have sincerely appreciated the excellent care & camaraderie given to me and all the patients here. In my opinion, there is only one facility in this area to be trusted for skilled nursing & rehabilitation. That's The Fountains.

The staff is so knowledgeable and helpful no matter what situation you are in. They are always so sweet when you first arrive to check in for your appointment (Myesha is my favorite! She always remembers me) and everyone is always encourages your progress which is so nice because you have the team supporting you during the difficult time you may be facing and it may be hard to find support but this place is perfect. My therapist/counselor has been Victoria (Sylvia) who has been absolutely amazing. She has a completely different approach to help you get through any struggle and I truly appreciate that. I have never been to therapy but always heard from everyone that it's life changing because you learn so much about yourself and it's completely true. She teaches you the necessary tools and knowledge during the session that way you can use that any time to get through any situation. If I'm faced with any issue, I think back to what I've learned during our sessions and utilize that to help me. Sylvia is my absolute favorite, I literally look at my schedule and always get excited when I see the day I have my appointment with her. I hope she stays at this location because if she leaves I would go wherever she is and make appointments there because of how great she is with everyone. Wellpath will not let you down. Instead they will come up with ways to help you through your situation. Definitely recommend for sure. Even if you are unsure where start, they will guide you because of their experience.

I found a dead man in his room at 8pm coroner didnt come till after 130-2am no one checked on him. I've been in and out of this place for months day and night. Windows broken for over 3 months never fixed they kept giving my mom fish when she is allergic. So we were bringing food for her and her roommate. My family and I became close with a lot of people and brought FOOD SNACKS SODAS TOILETRIES essential needs and now I'm banned. I'm allowed to say my opinion. I helped alot of residents who had nothing. Wearing hospital pants no shoes no deodorant and couldn't eat the nasty food. My sister and I changed bedding for people who had soiled it. Not even our family member we were there for got linens blankets ice water refilled because its what people with compassion do. I Brought dinner for a friend who couldn't carry it to her room with snacks and was yelled at by Melissa c. NS because I was told to not come back in the building over nothing I did during there caterered lunch but was ask by a resident to grab it for her. This is the second time but I will never say no to someone who is hungry. This place is a mess. Glad my mom is gone. I will only post one Picture I have cause they are all sad. I will hold on to the rest and will never be back at that again.

Why 1) My mother was sound of mind and fully capable of making her own decisions. Rather than asking her if she wanted a DNR they asked her husband. 2) On three occasions that I spoke with my mother in the 1 week she was there I had to call the nurse desk to direct them to change her diaper. The 3rd time I had to call 2 times sat on hold for a total of 25 minutes - first to be told that the CNA assigned to her was on lunch & there were only 2 CNAs on staff that night, but that while I was on hold it was taken care of. I called my mother back and learned that I was lied to and she was still laying in her own waste. I'll point out that there were 2 CNAs on staff for a 99 bed Facility. 2) The food is lacking & does not cater to Diabetics. 3) They did not adhere to Dr. prescribed medications - the wrong insulin & failure to administer water pills causing my mother to retain so much water her eyes were barely visible due to water retention swelling. 4) They did not monitor her oxygen levels causing her oxygen to read at 87 and was barely able to speak due to lack of oxygen. 5) She was ambulanced to the emergency room do to out of control blood sugar (over 400) & oxygen deprivation.

Communication between care givers is poor. Food is very poor. Attending CNA's are probably over…read moreworked. Some are excellent, but many are not alert to patients' needs. You can call for bathroom assistance and no one comes for way too long when a patient needs help quickly. And, worst of all patients who need to use the toilet ( like me) go ahead and try to get out of bed. Only I fell on the floor and hit my head hard enough to bleed. I had to be taken to hospital and XRayed and ct scanned. Fortunately for me I didn't have any broken bones, but I did have black eyes and a lump on my forehead for several weeks. I complained to the nurses and doctors that my stomach burned from my groin to my heart region, but no one seemed concerned. Ended up, it was a serious ulcer that ended up losing 10 pints of blood. SNMH air lifted me to Carmichael where they saved my life. I am not at all happy with my experience at Springhill Manner and do not recommend it.
