I used both Enloe and Milk and Motherhood for lactation support. I actually got an "off the record"…read morereferral from one of the LCs at Enloe for M&M. I liked using both in conjunction. I think we had 3 total consultations from M&M if I'm remembering correctly. I was really determined to breastfeed despite our struggles, so I was seeing LCs weekly for the first 7-8 weeks to solve the new issues as they emerged as we overcame the old issues. Enloe is high quality and more affordable at $40. Meghan was also high quality but more costly. She is a bit more specialized with body and mouth exercises we could do with baby to reduce body tension and improve latch. We're in Chico, so our initial consultation was $275 with follow up consultations $225. It's cheaper if you're in Yuba. I think it was $25 or $50 extra for Chico? She provides a super bill, so you can submit to your insurance. We have Blue Shield of CA, PERS Gold PPO - TBD if they cover it and reimburse us. If I remember, I'll update this review once they get back to me. Meghan came to us at our home which was so nice. Makes things much calmer with a new baby not having to get everything in the car and get to a place on time and also gets the perspective of being in our usual environment. She is based in Yuba City but does come to Chico for extra charge. I think $25? But not positive. She referred me to Dr. Robles for mouth ties. I reached out for information and decided to hold off after learning it would be about $1200 from their text message and learning from my pediatrician that she'd never heard of Dr. Robles telling parents their babies *don't* need the release procedures. Another LC at Enloe said she personally wouldn't do it for her own kids considering the struggles our baby was having. We saw Dr. Palmer instead who was awesome and told us it wasn't necessary to do the release in our case. (If we did need it, it would have only been about $500). Overall, I'm very pleased with the support I received!
