I am a new homeowner and prior to discovering this gem, I was visiting Lowe's on a bi-weekly (if…read morenot more) basis. Let me just say... I hate going to Lowe's. Not to bash them, but it often feels like their staff are not interested in helping me, and I just can never seem to find what I need without googling the item first and locating it myself. I dread going in there. ANYWAY... I recently discovered that I live in quick driving distance from this Ace Hardware location. I was in desperate need of shelf pins for my kitchen cabinets- specially the 1/4 " size. I had looked everywhere for them- Lowe's and Home Depot, multiple locations for both. I even ordered some off of Amazon and the wrong size was sent to me. When I discovered this Ace Hardware, I called them first to ensure they had the size shelf pins I was looking for. To my delight, they answered the phone right away and let me know they had the size I was looking for in stock. I made the short drive there and found exactly what I was looking for and more. I have been to this location 3x since then. Every time I have been greeted with a friendly smile by one of their employees. Honestly, this place is like a breath of fresh air. I am so relieved to have found it and feel so lucky they are so close to my new home. I am a rewards member now and look forward to visiting many, many more times. Rockler Woodworking & Hardware is a retail-store chain that sells woods, hardware, power tools,…read morehand tools, and more in stores across the country. Merchandise includes woods (e.g., domestic, exotic, plywood, and veneer), hardware (e.g., slides, hinges, and knobs), power tools (e.g., routers, planers, saws, sanders, and drills), hand tools (e.g., clamps, chisels, tape measures, and screwdrivers), etcetera. I have not done serious woodworking in many years, but this store offers merchandise that is of use to me, such as sanders, glues, and stains. During my recent visit, an employee asked me if I needed any assistance and was courteous rather than pushy. The shelves were fully stocked and well organized, and I found what I wanted. As for prices, I did compare many of this store's prices to a competing online retailer's prices, and some were lower, and some were higher. I want to also mention that this store offers woodworking classes in which you can learn to make a pepper mill, bowl, vase, and more. According to an informational sheet, each class is roughly a few hours long and costs over $100.
