Once we had ordered and went to sit down I saw that five out of the eight or so tables were all dirty. I asked her for a rag and told her I would clean off my table, and in fact that I would clean off all the tables and she handed me two napkins. I said I really need more than this. She took quite a while to get me a clean, wet rag. The trashcan was so disgusting. I did not want to touch it to open the cover to throw my trash scraps out. She went and sat down at a table, watching her show on her phone the rest of the time we were there unless someone came to place an order. Like I said, the food was good, but I feel scared of what the kitchen looks like. And when you're talking about fresh fish, you need things to be clean, clean clean.

My friends and I each ordered different bowls (Tempeh, Salmon and Pork) and they all looked as delicious as they actually were. The presentation was delicate and the contents were very tasty. The preselected combination of ingredients seems very well thought out and I'd be more than happy to go back and try something different next time. Last but not least, the place is neat, cozy and quiet and the service was fast and friendly. I would 100% recommend trying this place out.

I think I'm being a bit nice for giving it a 3 stars. My review is usually based on 2 important…read moreaspects. #1 being the service of utmost importance. #2 taste of food. Service here was average. It was nothing outstanding and nothing bad either. I was the one who walked in to ask for seating and had to ask several times for a highchair. We have a 1 yr old baby. Oh btw there is no changing table in the washrooms. So if you have a baby make sure you request a booth seat. At least this way you can easily change your baby on the booth seat without anyone having to see. Lol. My family ordered: - duck confit - burgers and fries - Meat Pie (DO NOT ORDER THIS!) overall the duck was a good portion but dry and salty. The burgers were apparently the only thing that was good which we had ordered but the fries came out so burnt my husband cut the inside of his mouth with a burnt sharp French fry. His gums inside his mouth actually started to bleed. Omg. Now let's talk about the meat pie which was so rock hard you can probably throw it at somebody and it would literally injure them. The pie crust was ok but the inside of the pie was rock hard meat that was sauceless and dry that chewing this meat made my jaws hurt. Just trying to swallow the meat inside the pie was so disgusting you could not possibly enjoy the food. Ambiance - cute and quaint. Very homey feel inside or you can choose to sit out on the patio where it was so hot. We decided to sit inside for this reason and it was nice and comfortable. Staff service - not bad. But nothing that stood out either. Overall - ok place if you looking for a quick bite. But the food is hit or miss. Your just taking a risk if you eat here. There are still better places within a 2 min walk that you can choose to eat at. And please please please DO NOT order the meat pie unless you want to be chewing rock-hard pieces of meat that is dry and flavorless.

When I sat down I realized I was under dressed. Business men in suits and ties were seated next to me. The lunch menu had 5 - 7 options starting at $17. It seems a little high. I ordered the Pad Sew in a teriyaki sauce. The complimentary soup was excellent. I posted the picture. The only odd thing was the spoon which looked like a tiny ladle with a long handle which comes up next to your ear. ODD! The Pad Sew was good with an appealing presentation. Service was fast and polite. Despite my looks she was pleasant to me. The place seems higher end than most restaurants in the neighbourhood. Enjoy
