The sushi rolls that we ordered.
    Franklin W.

We do not expect to get sushi in Quebec City, but we like something light and different from the great French cuisine we have been having. The place is right below an apartment building, a short walk beyond the touristy area. It serves very decent sushi rolls, like salmon, spicy tuna, tempura, etc. the server is very patient in explaining the menu in French to us. This place deserves a higher rating from the current 3.5 stars!

This place was okay. The food was okay and the bubble tea was "interesting". The explosive bubbles were different but tasted good. The California roll was delicious. However the tempera udon was not as good as we had hoped. Overall, my kids loved it but I was a little disappointed.

The attendant was very helpful and explained the menu in English. It was quick and easy. I got a Poke bowl.

This place isn't as to-go as the name seems; there was plenty of space to sit down. The chef helped us English speakers understand the mostly-French menu. I had the noodle soup and it was excellent! They also sell sushi (obviously) and other things like bubble tea and dumplings. The green tea was great! Great service and great food.

Passion Fruit Black Tea with Pearls

What IS this place?? It's like a boba shop that serves Sushi to go, but off to the side is a sit down sushi restaurant? I'm so confused... We just wanted some Milk Tea for quick dessert. When I ordered the Passion Fruit Black Tea, she said she did not make any of it. And by any of it, she was not making ANY of the flavored ice teas...only Milk Teas. Uhm...it was like barely 8pm too, how are you not making like half your drink menu? So then we said forget it, we're just going to leave. She tried to usher us back and convince us to order something else. We told her no, I cannot order milk tea because I am allergic to milk. She then said we can order the Iced Teas but we asked her, "I thought you said you're not making that portion of the menu??" THEN she said she can make it now. Seriously? She said we would have to wait 5 minutes though for the tea to brew, fine. So we waited. And waited. And waited. Until like almost half an hour later!! My friend ordered the same drink as me but with Green Tea and Jelly instead of Boba. The lady mixed our drinks up but luckily my friend didn't mind the difference between black and green tea so we just switched to save time. We WERE considering trying the sushi here, but meh, we think not.

Not a fan of deep fried gyoza that tasted as though they where bought and not made in house.

I enjoyed the boba and sushi. The drink was not too sweet and the sushi was fresh and tasty. Great place to relax and enjoy a good snack.

Devoured every single one that I ordered. This place is that good. Service - Jack was my server and he was awesome! He went above and beyond what's expected of him. Super nice as well. Had great convo with him about American politics. Ambiance - was pretty chill. Went towards the end of lunch time so there weren't many people hence I didn't have to wait long for my orders. Sushi Samurai was one of the foodie highlights of my Quebec trip!

We didn't care since it was rainy and was not in a great rush. After us, a few more customers came in and pretty much everyone was doing the AYCE. The way it works is you write down the item # and followed by quantity. They did emphasize that you will be penalized should you waste any food twice before we actually placed our order. We waited a good 20-30 minutes or so before we were served actual food. The waiter did hand us the Japanese seaweed salad quickly as that didn't need to be cooked. BTW, everything is served as 1pc! So in preparation for the long wait, we were ordering our next order as the wait was long. Waiter was handing food 1 by 1. Midway during our lunch we were informed that the French couple eating at the other table was done and that the "OWNER" preferred the French way of ppl eating AYCE. As they hardly ate anything, left and paid AYCE price. I was like what the ....! To top it off we were asked multiple times if we were full. The whole situation was so absurd and laughable. Was I eating for free? Last time I checked I was a paying customer. If they felt cheated regarding the price versus quantity of eating they should have thought of that as NOT all people walking to through their door will eat like a bird! Food wise it was okay. The udon broths were good, we had seafood and spicy beef. Seafood fried rice was good. In terms of sushi and hand roll, fish to rice ratio was 1 to 3. It was pretty much all rice, I guess this is how they make up their margin. Also, no tuna it was just pretty much salmon. Shrimp tempura was okay. The sushi pizza was swimming in mayo. We ordered 1x Grilled Saury but was informed much later that they don't have it. Drinks are not included in the AYCE. So if you want to be harassed and be constantly reminded of how much you shouldn't be eating, then come here. Or if you need a no frill lunch and dinner at a decent pricing then this is the spot for you.

This restaurant inside the beautiful Fairmont Le Chateau Frontenac hotel is a must stop for fine dining. Everything here is pure elegance. Our waiter, Mark, was fantastic. We had the food and wine pairing and his knowledge was very impressive. From the bread and crackers to start the meal to all the different dishes, we loved it. The halibut had a nice crust on top which was so good. I had the venison, but my wife switched that for the Wagyu steak. That steak was definitely the star of the meal. Even our dessert made from squash was unbelievable. The glass of wine with each course made for a perfect meal. One couple we were with ordered the cheese platter and went to a separate room to select the cheeses. Amazing! Our waiter detailed that the chef was trained in Copenhagen and previously was a chef at a top restaurant in Toronto. Dining here comes with a hefty price tag, but it's really an all evening experience. We were there for 3.5 hours and enjoyed every minute of it!
