Really friendly and fast service (English was available)…read more Cozy, relaxed vibe with decor that promotes eco-consciousness. The cheeseburger and "parmesan" croquetas were delicious. The burger was so big and juicy!

They probably prefer it that way because the quiet vibe appeared to be part of the ambiance they're seeking here. We just found it by chance on Google Maps as an alternative to the beef-heavy eateries in the neighborhood. We just felt a need to eat healthier. The menu was small and appetizing, and we treated ourselves to two 3,5€ glasses of Zafra Blanco, a crisp Spanish white wine that freshened our palates. We started our meal with a complimentary helping of a "creamy" beetroot dip accompanied by lightly crisped pita chips (Photo 7). Next came the 12€ Spinach and "Parmesan" Croquettes, six lightly fried, falafel-like spheres drizzled with cashew nut mayo (Photo 8). They provided the ideal bites. Jamie went for their signature 15€ Moroccan Bowl with corn couscous, beetroot falafel, sweet potato, spinach, cherries, pickled cucumber, tomato, and fresh dates drizzled with mint yogurt sauce (Photo 6). It was quite a cornucopia of flavors that meshed quite well together with the falafels the particular standout. I decided to go for the 8€ Brochette of "Chicken" with chunks of zucchini and onion and satay sauce over a bed of sweet potato noodles (Photo 9). I'm not sure what the "chicken" was, but the flavor and texture was surprisingly spot-on. At the same time, I'm glad I limited myself to one skewer because I wanted to save room for dessert and the 4€ bottle of sparkling Green Apple Cider (Photo 4). Jamie and I settled on the delightful 6,5€ Tiramisu Cake dusted with Cocoa and swirled with Toffee (Photo 10). We finished our meal with 2€ cups of Cortado with the right amount of warm, steamed milk (Photo 5). FOOD / DRINK - 4 stars...really well-turned vegan fare with no flavor compromises AMBIANCE - 4.5 stars...quiet and mellow befitting the food SERVICE - 4 stars...attentive TOTAL - 4 stars...definitely an alternative to consider among Madrid's culinary riches RELATED - Exploring Madrid? The flavors were really good, and the injeri had a nice lightness to it compared to some others that I've had before. When we got there we were quite hungry, and when we left we were completed sated. If you like Ethiopian food, I'd definitely recommend this place (note: we did not try any of their meat dishes, so I can't speak to how well those are prepared). NOTE: our server did not speak any English, but if you ask for an "English/Ingles menu", they will give you one.

We came a bit early as we had train to catch and there was no one at the restaurant. There was only one man who was a bit lost on what to do as they may not be expecting dining guests even though the restaurant was open. We asked for 'tej' - honey wine and it was good. not the best we have had though. we opted for vegetarian combo for one person and entree of Misir Wot ( red lentils in berber sauce). It took about 25-30 minutes for the food to be cooked but it was well worth the wait. All the vegetables had a great flavor and the injera bread was really good. We were server only one injera and had to ask for more as it was not enough for the food. the misir wot is always a favorite and it was really good here. We were stuffed by the food and injera and I wish I had enough room for baklava. The service was a bit slow but we enjoyed our meal. There is wi-fi available and you need to ask for the password.

Such a great little restaurant in the most perfect setting. Right next to the cathedral!…read more The interior is charming. Flowers painted in the walls make you feel like you are in an English Cottage garden. Crisp white vintage linens make it feel extra special. Easy to call and make reservations for dinner. Super friendly service from that phone call to saying goodbye after our meal. When we arrived we were treated so nicely. Menus are in Español but easy to work through with my Spanglish. A young man took our drink order - an excellent beer selection - then a young woman came to answer some questions and to take our order. The food was served in the perfect sequence and in a timely manner. All dishes were very tasty and large portions. Starters were a pumpkin & carrot soup along with an avocado, grapefruit, corn, hard boiled egg, green salad. My husband and I shared both with him eating the egg so the salad was now vegan. Mains were the veggie lasagna for him and tofu & spinach spaghetti for me. Both served hot and delicious. I liked the tofu grilled on my pasta. The two women checked on us, visited and treated us as if we were long time customers and so happy to have us there. Definitely recommend this place. Especially if you are vegan or vegetarian.

They do have plenty of meat options but they also have a very nice assortment of vegan and vegetarian options. We very much enjoyed the tofu dish and the chop suey dish, we also enjoyed the veggie corquettes. The prices are great and so is the service. Great find.
