The course itself was well kept and in great shape. However the layout was a bit off for me. Lots of holes right next to each other in the open so people were driving across fairways all day. Nothing too bad and it happens but something to be aware of. They have a nice mix of par 4s and 3s. They do not have a driving range so make sure you warm up before teeing off. The clubhouse was smaller but they've got so balls and tees if you didn't come prepared. Overall a good course for a fantastic price.

As we started bowling, the music that was playing was completely uncensored. In one verse we heard "F**k that b***ch and make that p***y wanting more..." Realizing we had small children, the attendant ran and switched the music. It was unfortunate that it happened, but we were happy that the issue was remedied right away. For being the only alley left in town, and bowling alleys falling left and right, it's nice to have it here. However, it would be really nice to see some upgrades here and there. I left Winona as a resident 16 years ago, and it seems like everything is exactly the same as when I left. But, also understandable that COVID is killing recreation and small businesses, so it's not a complaint more than a "hope to see in the future". Kids had a blast and were glad we came!!!

However, I previously called and asked about lane availability and was assured to come right on over-that there would be room for us. I did. They waited till I was there to kick us out in front of everyone bc we "shouldn't even be in [there] if we're not Winona State." I assumed Westgate would be full so I didn't initally even try! After being failed by the smaller guy, Winona Bowl, Westgate was my last hope! I get there, it was packed!! I knew it. But I go up to the counter. The guy, Zach, sees me and says, "Just one second please." I waited and he says, "Hi! Welcome. What can I do for you?" I said, "We just got kicked out of Winona Bowl for no reason bc I'm not a student. I am a law student, but not a WSU student. Please, we just wanted to bowl one game. Do you have ANYTHING available." "Oh. Not at the moment but I can take your name. It might be 10-15 minutes." "Ok, I said, "That's fine. I'll wait." I went to notify my little sister that we'd need to wait but that we could stay. I turned to head back to his counter and he was coming to look for me. "We have a lane for you right over here!!" "Wow," I said, "Already?? That was fast!" "Yup. Here ya go!" We all then went to get shoes turned to head over to bowl. He said "You gals have fun. Anything else we can do for you, please let me know. I'll be right up here." It was so busy he had to yell. lol "Thanks so much, Zach?," I yelled back, as I looked at his name tag. He looked down too but then back up when he heard his name and smiled, "Yea." "Zach,... I'm gonna yelp you. I want everyone on Yelp to know how you saved our night!" "Ok," he smiled politely. (I don't think he believed I would actually review HIM.) My sister yells from the lane, "Come on~what are ya scared. You are so going DOWN." I rolled my eyes at her on my way to go get a ball. ..............(And so, we bowled, laughed, cheered, and I DID go down, she mopped the floor with me.) lol Thanks, Zach. You RoCk!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You're kindness changed our night. No wonder you are always busier at Westgate. Your owner probably cares that you actually know how to treat people. You have won my business every time from here on out. Owner of Wesgate, thanks for the GREAT hire. You entrust your business' reputation to ZACH on busy nights that you are not there, as he is the first one people converse with when they go to the counter. He represents you and carries you well. You should be proud.

Located in the middle of BW Riverfront Hotel, an unusual spot for a "mini water park" but anything to keep my little miss wants to be a fish swimming and happy. It's free to guests of the hotel and $7 for non-guests. My oldest and I soaked up the sun in some lawn chairs(free of charge) while my little fish slid down the slide a dozen times, played volleyball with other kids, and waited for the giant bucket of water to dump on her over and over. They also have a pool table if you want something to do outside the water. They don't sell any but you can bring drinks in but no food allowed, don't let the umbrella covered tables fool you. They do have a small room just outside the gate with a few arcade games and a table to eat at. They also have a bathroom with towels, shower, a blow dryer and a mirror. I liked it because it's not crowded, easier to keep an eye on my little fish and they have a life guard on duty maintaining safety on the slide and adding an extra pair of eyes. All in all a nice little spot to go when it's hot. A great place to go when you're in Wisco!

Managing Girl is terrible! However, We love this place, and it is a destination when we come to…read moretown. We appreciate the military discount. Unfortunately, we don't appreciate the managing girl, who wears a mask outside, very much. She has little to NO people skills and has no appreciation for Military service, though the owners of the park do. She won't give the military discount on tickets, just the very first one bought. WTF? We bought a bunch of batting cage tokens for the fast pitch baseball machine. Most all the pitches were over our heads. Ridiculous. We told her and she said, " I know ." We need to get it fixed. However, NO refund could be given. We once arrived there and bought Kart racing tokens. After we paid, she immediately went and closed the track because of "potential" rain. She wouldn't give a refund, said the owners would not allow it. BS. It did not rain for 2 hours. We had to use the tokens weeks later on our way through town again. She is terrible. While we were playing the large connect 4, she constantly worried about us picking up the pieces off the ground. Of course we always did, but as soon as the game was over, she'd yell, " are you going to pick-up the pieces ? " Two seconds after the pieces hit the ground. We had to finally tell her to STOP! She was so damn annoying! This girl should not be in any type of customer service position. When we asked for her name to complain to management, she said she couldn't give it due to safety reasons. She is such a bad person to have running your business. If we see her again, we will just leave. Not worth the aggravation. We do love the Karts and the military discount! Too bad the batting cages suck.
