Staff was friendly when we first entered. The place is not that big, but for the space they have, they have a good variety. They have a rock wall, slide, lots of stations with different tactile experiences, a small water station, among many others. There is a hand washing station on one end and family friendly bathrooms on the other (including changing table in both men's/women's bathrooms, and step stools for the little ones). Watch out for the the New Hope Police ticketing this private lot with absolutely no signs nor kiosks in view of the parking area in front of the museum! What an ordeal. I was ticketed two times in 5 minutes and ended up having to go to court after depositing over $180 in extortion fees from the Newark police who refused to make this right when I provided evidence that you could not see any signage nor kiosks when parking in front of the museum. The exhibits are tired and run down and missing many items. That said, the grandkid had a good time. Shame on the chief of New Hope Police or mishandling Justice and telling me I could go to trial. The judge dropped the charges immediately and chastised the New Hope Police department. read more

I took my 2 year old grandson and we all had a great time!! Very clean with attention to details- wipes and diapers in the bathroom; sanitizing wipes throughout the museum; a kitchen area where you can have a snack/eat packed lunch. The BC Children's Museum is a Gem. Tucked away in a little side street off of Bridge St. in New Hope Pa. It kept our group of 2 to 5 year olds busy and engaged with water play, slides, car tracks, an ambulance, and more, from the time we arrived until closing. The lunch room was a perfect place for our group to relax and enjoy pizza ( which we had delivered) and other snacks that we brought in. Cubby's are provided for belongings. The timed entry makes it so it doesn't feel crowded. The bathrooms are child friendly and the changing area offers extra supplies should you need something. Pricing is reasonable. You will have to pay for parking in the lot, make sure you give yourself enough time as they won't want to leave. read more

There are so many activities for all ages. The both love cars so the race tracks were perfect. They also loved the new water exhibit as well. The facility is clean and organized. This is a wonderful little museum for kids around 5 and under. I've been to many children's museums both big and small, and I think the BCCM has some of the highest quality exhibits for the size of the museum and cost of entry. Love the Bucks County Children's Museum. I really am happy they have someone at the front desk who monitors all the comings and goings. Is is definitely a safety feature to maintain the safety of the children visiting the museum. The bathrooms are always stocked with soap and paper towels. The kitchen also has cleaning supplies for the tables. Cleanliness is definitely a priority maintained by the organization. The play areas are maintained with stocked toys. I also live that attendance is limited daily. I visit monthly for s fin time with the kids. They are always excited to go when I reveal my plan for a trip. read more

This place is fantastic for small children to explore in a safe and educational environment! We took our 1.5 year old here during Winter Break and we couldn't have been happier with how she was able to play and explore. There are various rooms with activities for kids to do - from climbing, digging, and playing in water, there is something for everyone here. My daughter spent most of the time at the water table - where she loved playing in the water and watching the boats go down the "river". I loved that there were smocks for the kids to wear to keep them clean and dry throughout this play. I also was a big fan of the light bright space because it was large but also not overly stimulating. This place also has a space where you can bring your own snacks and lunch - which saves money in the long run as well. They do ask you to keep it clean, but that's easy to do when they have all the supplies there. Admission is $8 and you do have to pay for parking - but get the parking app, it's way easier than finding the kiosk. read more

My 7 yo found three activities that kept him busy : air tubes, push pins squares that displayed on the opposite side and the grocery/ cafe. The4 yo liked all the activities. There are about seven themed rooms for the kids to enjoy. A hospital, grocery store, recycling center,etc. We spend about two hours there and then walk downtown for some lunch. This museum is wonderful for children. The are many unique activities for children to enjoy and they are kept in excellent condition. The play areas are clean and offer ways to keep children clean and safe - smocks for the water area, hand-washing station, sanitary wipes, etc. There were plenty of activities that could be enjoyed by my one-year old granddaughter and my 3 year-old grandson. Visited this museum with our 1.5 year old yesterday. We made an online reservation the night before and then paid when we arrived. The museum costs $8/person (same price for adults and kids over age 1). For such a low cost we didn't expect much and then were blown away! The museum has so much for kids to do and see and is so clean and well kept. There are three rooms and everything is so well spread out. We spent almost two hours and could have even stayed longer, our toddler did not want to leave! There are so many activities and play areas with magnets, water, air, wind, and so much more. There is a pretend play area with a farm, an ambulance, a hospital, a railroad, and a supermarket. I highly recommend visiting and we sure will be if we are in the area again! read more

We decided to attend the grand opening this weekend since the closing due to the pandemic. This was our first time since moving here & it was really nice. It is a bit small and didn't take us long to finish, but we spent a little more time on the water table. The kitchen was closed and no dining but there was a vending machine, no food or drink allowed in the museum, however there is a little courtyard downstairs with some tables to eat at. Do be forewarned there were stairs to get down, unsure of another way but if you have a stroller just be cautious especially with little ones. Also be aware that strollers are not allowed in the exhibits unless you have a sleeping baby. Parking is pay at the meter or you can download an app. It was $8/person for the 4 of us. Overall the kids had a great time and loved the exhibits. Wish it were a little bigger but this would be great for a group that might take longer we were done within an hour, but stayed a little longer. This is the type of place that allows you to be 5 years old again and enjoy all the simple pleasures of childhood pre-technology era. The place is filled with make - believe corners of costumes, a restaurant, post office and kitchen to name a few. My absolute favorite is an archaeology room to dig up treasure. The whole place is themed with things found in Buck's county which is also really adorable. The place must be a hidden treasure, because there have never been too many people the two times I've gone. I also think it's a magnificent prices for $8 pp to enjoy 4 large rooms of hours of entertainment which is less than what a movie costs! You can also have birthday parties here, which I think is an amazing alternative to the chaos of chuckie cheese! Plus, the bonus is that your kids may actually learn something here! Plus even better, they don't have an overwhelming amount of stuff to buy, so not too many trinkets to get your kids heart broken over. They also don't have any food, so make sure you come armed with snacks or full bellies of a restaurant nearby. Overall, I take every kid in my family here because I truly adore the place. read more

We went to sesame place for the first time with our 2 year old. He wasn't having it. Wouldn't wait in the lines for rides. So to save the day we went here. It's in a nice little town... expensive looking little town but nice. It was a great place to let him run around and play, learn, explore and touch things. Looked clean and modern. We stayed about 2 hours. There is metered parking. Nice restrooms. Nothing negative to say. Just didn't blow our mind or go overboard with customer service for a 5 star. But if you have littles this is a great place to let them have fun. The water table and air tubes are the highlight for our little buddy. Engaging and educational set up. read more
