To my surprise, the Trains at NorthPark Center is a tradition for more than 25 years. There were so many elaborate miniature toy trains exhibit around the world. The State Fair of Texas is so cute and I really enjoyed the LEGO bricks display! Downside is you're done after one big loop around. You can finish viewing the entire thing in under 30 minutes; under 15 minutes even if you're not stopping to look around and admire the toy trains.

They held the train for 5 minutes for me to walk to the handicapped entrance and showed my daughter how to purchase tickets online after we boarded. I told them what I was there for, ended up buying three of the different varieties of cards, and four of the postcard designs. The cards are $10 each but come with a day pass, and the postcard is an additional $2 each! I don't know if I'll have a need to go back in the future, but I definitely think it's a worthwhile stop if you're in the area, and if you're looking for a fun (and useful!) FIFA souvenir.

The equipment was slow to respond to the buttons being pressed. It felt sweetly nostalgic to the last time I played almost 20 years ago, but even then the places I played then were much more legit. Mini golf felt like it was designed by someone without any passion or interest in enhancing the experience. It was soulless. The number of courses with no obstacles, or just basically one block obstacle to put around was pretty shocking to me. No creativity, but there were in fact 36 holes to put through. Go karts was more fun than I expected, but the guys running it had unclear signals and didn't really communicate clearly with us when to go and stop. Not all carts had the same VROOM VROOM. I got lucky that mine was speedy, but my bf's just wasn't, even with the pedal pushed all the way down. The redemption games were ok. Most cost $2 per play, so you would fly through a $10 game card in just a few minutes in many cases. Some games were not working, which was frustrating. We also didn't get tickets from all the games properly. The prize / ticket ratio was insane. I feel like they are being unnecessary stingy in the cost to get even decent prizes. Main event is better for this. All these things said, we did have fun just with the nostalgia factor and enjoying it for what it was. But especially with the price, I am unlikely to return.

This review is about the gardens that surround the Bush Center, not the museum or library…read more It was a beautiful Sunday and the kid wanted to ride her bike so we headed to the Bush Gardens for her to ride without having to worry about cars, traffic, and crowds. The garden in the spring is beautiful with the flowers in bloom. You really feel like you are in nature with all the different plants, trees, trails, a creek, wooden bridge, wild flowers, and serenity. This time I avoided the parking fee by parking in a free lot at SMU and walking 10 minutes to the Bush Center. Overall, the gardens are a gem in Dallas. They are completely free and in some ways just as nice as the Arboretum, just smaller.

Besides being a park, it's a place where it holds special events throughout the year that may be worth checking out. The park has a free parking lot just off the to side and it is easily accessible. It is quite well maintained and a sweet spot in Dallas for some fun photos. A few historic buildings I visited include the Alamo Saloon, Blum Bro. General Store, and Renner School. Per their website educational tours/ school field trips are welcome, plus reservation facilities for those interested.
