I haven't found a store that jived with my sense of fashion in a while! Granted, I shop for clothing once a year or so. Giving away half of my clothing has turned me into a battle-hardened minimalist.
Anyway, I was passing by and the latest fad of booties were on display. There are a lot of booties these days, but these ones were especially eye-catching. The associate who helped me was great and brought out other shoes and sandals I may be interested in. There was an adorable pair of sandals that was rubbing the wrong way to justify the $99 dollar price tag and she was trying to help me find a different pair, but no go on that front.
I was unsure whether the booties I wanted would fit fine with my normal socks (I was provided disposal socks) or if I should go a size down. The store didn't have the smaller size and offered to ship it to me (shipping charges apply) or ship to the store for lay-away (pay 20% of the shoes up front, can refund if don't want). I decided to buy the size 7 and lay away the size 6.5 in case somebody came by and snagged the 7's. There was a bit of a snafu when the sales associate never called because the shoes were never ordered and I just came in for a refund on the 20% and kept the 7's, but they were apologetic and I didn't mind the inconvenience much. I was getting compliments all day on the booties I bought anyhow.
I hardly ever buy jewelry, particularly because I hardly wear jewelry, but I found a great 3-set bracelet that I immediately wore and didn't take off for a week.
