I was drawn in by the rainbow bagels - having seen them in the press from other places, I just had to try them.
The whole bakery is full of things I wanted to try, but this time I was focussed on the bagels. at 70p each (in a pack of 3) they're not cheap but it's all the novelty value.
The lady behind the counter was friendly and also pointed out the biscuits they make with a multi-coloured dough, which were little triangle things filled with poppy seed stuff. I stuck with the bagels, but the biscuits actually looked less weird than the bagels!
The bagels taste like a decent bagel, but it's hard to tell if they're toasted enough and your brain will think it should be sweet (probably why they serve them with sweet cream cheese in the States!).
I wouldn't get them again, but I would come back to the bakery for 'normal' treats. read more
