Trim Rover, Trim Rover?…read more Let Julie come over! Our rescue dog went from a life of abject poverty to one of blissful luxury. At least by canine standards. In his current life, he now has soft little beds in every room of the house and meals prepared by hand. Not MY hand, you kidding? I can barely feed and clothe my sorry excuse for a life, you think the dog stands a chance? Naah, he's a charmer and gets the rest of the family to attend to his every need. EXCEPT the grooming part, which is now the purview of Julie and Fuzzy Hearts Grooming. Here's how it works: Julie pulls into the driveway in her Mobile Grooming Lab and Styling Emporium, plugs a super-long extension cord in and then your pooch hops in, and I guess the magic happens. I stayed in the house where I couldn't offer any of that, uh... "help." In a half hour or so, Julie did a masterful grooming job, clipped the nails, probably told some stories about other dogs, y'know. The way chit-chat goes down in the salon. Then, with a brand new kerchief and a bounce in his step, the luckiest dog in Ohio leaped out of the truck, back in the house and stood in front of the mirror, for what seemed like hours. Handsome, beyond measure. Beyond belief. "There comes a time when you look into the mirror and you realize that what you see is all that you will ever be. And then you accept it. Or you kill yourself. Or you stop looking in mirrors." ― Tennessee Williams

Waiting for our appointment, we got to talking and were able to learn about K-9 Comfort Zone and Jennifer's philosophy on training. That couldn't have happened at a better time since we were experiencing "growing pains" with a high energy French Bulldog mix the likes of which my wife and I had not experienced in our lifetimes with pets. We contacted Jennifer after that meeting to see if she could help. Thank God for that phone call! Jennifer has truly been a Godsend for us. She is very professional and presented us with an "easy to read" contract reflecting her services. She has been attentive, timely, patient and truly knows what she is doing. She has actually done just as good a job training US as she has our little Frenchie. The suggestions she has made have worked wonders, and she is never reluctant to think outside the box when it comes to techniques for us to try. She even provided us with materials for ordering challenging mental games/toys for our little troublemaker. With a little dedication on our part in implementing Jennifer's teachings, we know our girl will soon be a well-behaved, well-adjusted little pooch and a happy-go-lucky member of our "pack." We recommend K-9 Comfort Zone without reservation. Make that call and let Jennifer take over. You won't regret it!! Scott (Brunswick, Ohio)

Well we got across the street and was called after 10 minutes and was asked to come get her that she was uncomfortable. They said this lil puppy was biting and not letting them groom her. The gal told my sister that she needs to get a tranquilizer the next time she comes. She's nothing like she described her. We came into the store and walked back and saw her be all calm and the girl was grooming her ... WTH. We came all the way back and witnessed this. She finished her while we watched her. OMG But, then I took her home and she was licking her back paw for hours and the next day there was bruising in her thigh and nothing saw on her paw but sopping wet and when I put a light on it there was bruising. She still limps with her back paw in the air.... She walked with it this way since she came to this establishment. Okay now get this ..I've called and told my statement to a girl that evening and asked to have someone that's in management please call me . I never received a call and left several messages. I had to explain again to a supervisor and I wrote a comment to remind them that I'm suppose to be receiving a call back ASAP. NOTHING. I had my puppy limping and till this day he's still licking his.back paw alot. They said that the manager was notified and they'll be calling yo have a video with my lil girl coming down the stairs where she don't even use her back leg ...it's so noticeable that she's see still hasn't used that legg and hip...its so noticable and noany improvement. At all. Also she was cut too close on top of the and it was got scars. Who do you hire? I never received any calls back and I'm taking it up in the the President of this company.

Thankfully everything was taken care of and apologies expressed both ways. Thank you Kevin & Pet Supplies Plus. ORIGINAL: Currently sitting in front of the store. My fiancé and I drove here to pick up the dog food I ordered online as our 3 labs are out. Of course between work and the 8 inches of snow that came down, we came as soon as we could. We arrived at 8:55pm and upon pulling up it was clear the store was already closed, despite their hours being until 9pm and no note on the door to notify customers of the early closing. My fiancé got out of the car to go up to the door and the two employees in the store proceeded to ignore him. So I called the store to say we were here for a pick up and I watched the female employee laugh as she and her male coworker ignored the phone as well. I even flashed my brights to get their attention and my fiancé went to the door again and knocked. They both proceeded to hide from view and behind shelves to avoid us. I'm extremely upset with this store. We were here before close and literally just needed to be handed our dog food, but we were ignored, laughed at and even mocked. So now we have to go home after wasting time and gas and make our dogs some dinner because two employees couldn't be bothered to stay open until their posted time and decided it was better to pretend like we didn't exist. I will contemplate spending my money on dog food elsewhere. Thanks for nothing Pet Supplies Plus.

Had an appointment Tuesday, worried about my 32 mile drive in a snow storm I called Monday about 11 to reschedule About 2, I called back. Gal says, "you're in luck. They never took you off the schedule! See you then!" Tuesday, I drive there. I love the receptionist! Always friendly and pleasant! Not just to you she always greets your fur baby too! She was kinda quiet? I said appt is with Alyssa B. She walks in the back. I'm still at the counter. She's talking with Alyssa B as this is the first time I've seen her. I hear Alyssa B say, "she canceled yesterday. I got a note, put another DOG in the spot!!" I respond, "excuse me . . . I called back to see if the appointment was still available and was told I was in lucky! It was still on the schedule." Alyssa looked at me. Eye contact - took her right hand and closed the door! I sat waiting, then decided HELL NO! Only an unruly teenager acts like that! Not a professional! My question, if she could treat me so rudely- would you trust her grooming your Fur Baby? I will NEVER as in NEVER EVER go there again! Not a call from anyone to apologize? I've always been extremely generous with tips, I've also left snacks! If this is a new generation of trained groomers, I'll do it myself! PLEASE, PKEASE, PLEASE find a caring place to leave your pet! Having just lost our Roxy, this really hurts!

In June 2025 I brought my cat Petey age 14 to have dental surgery and have his sinuses explored due…read moreto him sneezing a lot! I was told by Dr. Wilson that she could find nothing and maybe he had asthma. He was given an antibiotic shot after the procedure and this seemed to give him relief for a couple months. Then it started up again. I took him back on Dec 6, 2025. He was very nervous and panted when he first arrived. I told her he was not eating much, refusing food he had been on since I adopted him at age 6 months, but no appetite issues until now. She made a comment about his breathing saying he was struggling but no further examination or suggestions to try to diagnose him! She then whisked him off to another room to clip his back nails and gave him another antibiotic shot and a steroid shot. He had an ear infection so she gave me drops for his ears. She told me to call her on Monday Dec. 8 to tell her how he was doing but when I called I was told she was not available and would call me back. She never did. Instead several days later someone-NOT her-called and left me a message to call her and she would relay the message to Dr.Wilson. Sad that she could not find 5 minutes to speak with me! Petey continued to worsen, seeming to have more difficulty breathing and rather than take him back to see Dr. Wilson I found another veterinarian office to take him to. On Wed, Dec 17, 2025 I took him there. From the moment I came into the room the vet gave him her full attention, asking me what was going on. She listened to his breathing and said she wanted to take x-rays to see what may be going on. After doing so she came in and told me Pete had fluid in his chest. She tried to drain it but she could not. She then informed me that he likely would not make it through the day. I called my husband at work and together we made the gut wrenching decision to let him go so he would not suffer more than he already had! I was advised that he would likely pass before my husband could arrive by 6 pm. Thankfully my daughter had gone with me for support. I have struggled to understand WHY DR. WILSON AT ANIMAL AND AVIAN DID NOT SUGGEST THE CHEST X-RAY ON DEC 6th!!!! In my opinion she is an awful, negligent vet! It appears all they care about is their income stream-just giving meds and keeping you coming back again and again for injections which never took care of the problem. It is all about the money with them! My feeling is if she had she suggested and done the x-ray when she saw him on Dec 6th instead of more meds which she said would likely be ongoing if they helped, which they did not, then my Petey would not have had to suffer an additional 11 days!!! I would NEVER take another animal to ANIMAL AND AVIAN nor would I refer anyone to them!

The problem happened when we had to let our pitty go due to sudden illness at the end of 2025. One of the vet techs, Luke, got really nasty when my husband protested leaving a muzzle on our unconscious dog who was one shot away from being dead. He had already received the shot that put him under and he was, for all intents and purposes, gone. We completely understand when there is a chance the dog is going to turn on you, but at this point he. was. gone. Give the dog and his parents a dignified good-bye, he isn't going to rise back up and eat you when he is out like this. There is no reason to make such an already traumatic experience even worse. Luke had a silent temper tantrum and started roughing my dog up, tossing him onto his back to do whatever he had to do next. His behavior was bad enough that the other vet tech in the room actually kicked Luke out of the exam and finished things up without him. She handled the rest of the appointment with grace. I did call and complain a few days later after I had calmed down and the office manager was kind enough to mark our account so Luke would no longer be allowed to touch any of our fur kids. A week later I had to bring our other dog for another appointment and guess who came waltzing into the waiting room with another patient. My stomach instantly started churning. This vet was good, but I can no longer refer them to anyone until this jerk is removed from their employment. Luke has no business working with animals and is a cancer to the practice.
