Stopped to buy a few days ago, and the receptionist was a little less than welcoming.

Very friendly staff! We haven't needed anything yet, but friendly people make companies great!

What was good: The lady who works in the office (owners…read moremom?) is nice and sets the appointments for her son, the electrician. Very pleasant experience. Problem: Home owner with limited income and an outside pole light that had stopped working. The circuit breaker kept tripping. This company quoted a reasonable hourly rate and decided to hired them to repair my light. They could not offer an estimate, only the hourly rate. OK. In the beginning: Of the 4 men present, one seemed knowledgeable about electrical issues. one man (the owner?) came out + with a crew of 3 with limited non-english speaking men. After discussing the light problem with me, the owner left the crew on their own to do what needed to be done for 4.5 hours. Not. The bad: My experience that after being my home for this amount of time and nothing was fixed the owner informed me that they would have to come back another day. I would not hire this company. No quality and No value. I ended up calling another electrician, came out and after checking he found a lose wire at the interior light switch within 1 hour. I am not happy with Ratliff Electric and do not advise using them. They ripped me off. Go to the gaming tables, you would have more luck. Note: They were checking EVERY other circuit in the house and not the light circuit and charged more than $350+ for the privilege!

Thank you Yelp. Thank you Chris Keely !…read more I was interested in retrofitting parking lot lighting to LED and was at a loss at where to start. I searched Yelp for highly rated vendors and found my way to ERMCO, Inc. (an employee owned company by the way). My contact at ERMCO is Chris Keely and he went above and beyond any reasonable service expectation. He not only educated me on the process, the preferred fixtures, his Company's pricing and service strategy, but also explained the expected electricity savings. For me, understanding the ROI/pay-back period was a key decision point to go ahead with the project. Chris took a very practical "owner" perspective to the project. I felt like I was working with a partner, not a vendor who was squeezing as much profit out of the project as he could. Rather, he took the longer view of a relationship over time and explained their pricing and material costs without any pressure. Lastly, Chris stayed involved from the first phone call to completion of the project which made life so much easier. If you are looking for an electrical expert, do yourself a favor and call ERMCO.
