I had Mr Rooter come out and unclog a drained sewer line on March 3rd, I was told there was some…read moresort of paper towels blocking the line. (We had Cody this day) I was also told the equipment they would use this day had a camera and I would be able to see down in there, never got any pictures from there camera on that day to see what the line looked like. I then find out it is still draining very slowly. So I ask them to come out again, a week later. (This used my second visit that you get within 3 yrs which is ridiculous considering I was told there was nothing else blocking the line besides the paper towels, and I told them this isnt right to use my second trip up for something that they couldve told me the firs time but they don't care its a second trip) That Monday the 9th they then tell me they will be there late, then another hour later they call and say they have to do it tomorrow. Then Tuesday I tell them it has to be 5:15, which they say no problem... show up at 6pm. LATE. THEN, I get told my sewer pipe is cast iron and its blocking itself up, so very different from what the first tech said. He unclogged the best he could but its just going to keep building up I was told, so I asked for pictures and estimates to be sent to my email by Gabriel, he said no problem. A week went by with nothing. So I called the office yesterday to get the estimates / pictures... they sent me the WRONG estimates and pictures. I call again this morning and Gabriel calls me now saying he can't take pictures due to their risk of me digging based off their pictures, and he quoted a higher price today because of WV sales tax than he did on our previous call. Buyer beware, I will not be using them again. Bad customer service, they don't really even care about the customer, and honestly this morning Gabriel was pretty arguing with me over the phone about how he "did tell me the same thing last time on the phone" when he did not. I paid $1k for them to come out and clear the line just to get my second trip used and get totally conflicting information vs the first trip. Quoted $7500 the first time to replace 10ft section of clogged line under the concrete, to then find out today oh its actually $8200 because of WV Sales Tax. Tell me that number the first time.

The plumber fixed the immediate issue and took the time to explain the cause, and what his recommendation was. Cody was the name of the employee and he was nothing short of excellent. I would recommend Mr.Rooter to anyone looking for an honest and reliable plumbing service.

I needed a new 40 gallon water heater put in, gas. Affordable plumbing gave me the most expensive…read morebed they only used one brand Bradford and their bill was going to be $1600 dollars to replace one water heater. Then after that I went to Dan's plumbing and they gave me a good bid $1050 and when he got here he just started jacking me, and the price. The lady on the phone said it will be $1050 plus tax on the water heater when he got there he already added $25 for the travel and then the Guy from Dan's plumbing told me they were going to put braided tubing on the end instead of soldering and then two minutes later he change his mind and was going to be another $75 for braided lines. He had a water heater in his truck and was ready to do the job and I said hit the road. I don't like that up charging. So the last person I called Fort Steuben plumbing told me they could do it for $1079. I told the guy when he got here from Fort Steuben plumbing if you decide to start jacking me off and raising the prices then he was just wasting my time. Anyways it took two guys to get that old water heater out of there and I'm sure put the new one in and it needed shut off valves, the old gate valves were bad. But he came in under bed at 1073.83 He was underbid and he will have my business forever. Fort Steuben plumbing the rest of my just give you Waste of time.
