Once there are two towels, two hand towels and two face washers stacked on the one rail, everything has to be moved for use. There are no shelves or rails or hooks anywhere else in the room so when you shower you leave your clothes on the toilet lid. If you want to hang the hand towels somewhere after use, the bath towels are in the way. Considering the size of the bathroom which is adequate, another rail or hook on the door would have made the whole experience perfect. There is a no smoking sign on the door, however smoking is allowed on the balcony, evidenced by a dirty ash tray on the table in the centre. Love the quirky ceiling fan on the balcony.

The room was dated from the 60 or 70's with no upgrades. The TV didn't work and called the front desk to find out the inn keeper only came to give the keys. We called her and notified her that the TV wasn't working, and had tried everything, she told me she knew nothing of tv's but would come and give us another room. The Inn keeper arrived and gave us the adjacent room, first the key didn't open the door after juggling with it a few ttimes it finally opened. The beds were horrible, they had wooden slats to keep the mattress from falling or give it extra firmness since I don't think have ever been changed, the slates passed the bed by 4 to 6 inches, easily someone could injure themselves throughout or not noticing them. A big hazard. The bathroom sink was fitted with a faucet from a kitchen sink, the faucet almost reaching the edge of the opposite side of the sink. Horrible experience and would not recommend this place to anyone. I think this place is rented to out of town workers. Deplorable place, I don't know why it still operates.

I can tell you that the hosts are terrific and the other park patrons are friendly and helpful. We are regulars in Cottage 1 and have enjoyed the lakeside views and the stars at night - especially the Perseids meteor showers when the sky's are clear. My girlfriend and I were disappointed this was a thing; watching the sunset by the beach with a cold one would have made my night, and for $300 for two nights I think were entitled to that. Other than that, cozy and great get away for the wknd. Just hide your drinks or youll feel policed while keeping the peace on your vacation.
