Simply put, I had a great experience. The staff were very professional and were able to answer all of my questions, concerning my Chevy Cruze. I will be back for sure. I would give zero stars if I could, believe the other reviews. I wished I had read them before I wasted my time. Online pricing is bait and switch. I even talked to sales manager before I went , specifically asking if the online price was correct, once you get there they tack on an additional $1497 for useless crap you don't want - ceramic wax $899, theft etching $499, nitrogen in tires $99. Non negotiable they say. Why pay that much for wax on a used car (I have a friend that will do it for me for a fraction of the price, if I chose too), theft etching on a used car, I don't live in a high crime area and I have insurance, and thanks for the premium air offer, but I'll continue to use the free air. I've had 2 terrible dealing with the service department. This the 3rd, I'm done! My ball joints were done Feb last year. All of them. I took my truck to get inspection done. Only to find out that the ball joints are horrible.... I hardly drive it at all. Literally sat parked for last 2 months. The shop I took it to said those ball joints should have lasted at least 2-3 years.... Call Buchanan, lady answers, her manager was with a customer, will call me back. 2 hours later I called back. Man who answered was rude and said warranty was for 12 months. That's not what I was told when they did ball joints....SAFE YOURSELF $$ and headaches go to different dealer read more

I have had bad experiences with this company. My car has been there since June of this year and I have been getting the run around for my car. I have called several times to file a complaint and all they keep doing is giving me the run around. The Operation manager will not return my calls. Every time I call they tell me they do not have any one I can speak too. All they can do is send a email to the Manager. read more

I recently sold my 2021 Jeep Gladiator to Buchanan Auto Park. They have since repeatedly refused to pay me for my vehicle. One of sales people told me that they had "severed their ties with GM" so does this mean that they are going out of business? As a long time Jeep customer I am shocked by the way I have been treated by Buchanan Auto Park. I have contacted Jeep about my experience. Needless to say I will never buy another Jeep product. Companies always complain about a lack of "brand loyalty" from their customer and then they treat them like this? I guess I will have to sue Buchanan auto park to get paid. Not the experience I was expecting. I guess greed makes people do really short sighted things? I am pretty sure that when I contact Christian Meunier; the new head of Jeep, he will be less than amused by this story. read more

Horrible experience overall, would not recommend to anyone. I was lied to by three different people during the buying process. I went on Monday to get a new truck and trade my 2022 Chevy silverado with the custom creations package. 26k miles and felt totally mistreated. first they told me they had to whole sale my truck that's why we can only give you 33k. complete lie they would put it on there lot. what a complete insult. I called in later that day and talked to someone to have the gm contact me that day they promised. never happened. I feel like I have been treated like a second rate citizen. last time I went to buy something we made a deal and when I went to pick it up they sold it from under me. "opps sorry forgot". 1). selling the truck from under me 2). offering me Pennie's on the dollar because they have gotten greedy for themselves 3). never getting a call back from the gm I have bought several trucks and recommended at least 10 people to go there. under new management it's not worth getting a cup of coffee from. Don't go there. Read the low reviews on Yelp and Google and you'll see a reoccurring theme of dishonesty. On July 28, 2020, my wife and I drove 40 mins to look at a GMC Sierra AT4. When we arrived we were greeted by a sales person. We asked to see the AT4 advertised on-line. The sales person walked away and showed up with the Sales Manager, Xavior. The Sales Manager asked if we were help, we said yes and pointed to the sales person standing next to him. We explained again that we were here to see the AT4. The sales person left and we continued to talk to the Sales Manager. He asked if we were going to trade in my current truck. I said that I wanted to inspect their truck first. The AT4 was brought out and I immediately noticed aftermarket wheels and tires, and a step bar had been added to the truck. These were not listed in the ad not were they pictured in the ad. I pointed this out right away. My wife and I continued to inspect the truck when the Sales Manager returned after 5 mins. He told my wife and I that he couldn't sell us the truck. That he just got a call from a man who saw the ad yesterday and wanted to buy the truck. Really!? We were sitting in the truck ready to start the process of negotiating a sale when were told they can't sell us the truck. No deposit, no signed sales agreement, just a phone call and we get kicked out. In my opinion the dealer got stuck between an advertised price and a new price they wanted to advertise after making changes to the truck. This is a dishonest practice...and not the first one either. The Sales Manager tried to say they added a lift kit to the truck. The AT4 comes with a factory installed suspension lift kit. I had done some much research that I knew more than the sales person, but I don't hold that against him. It's to satisfy my concerns before making a big purchase. I asked what kind and how big of a lift kit was added. Neither could answer, so I inspected the rear suspension and found the factory installed lift kit. In 30 mins we learned to never recommend Buchanan to anyone. read more

Trust the bad reviews, this dealership will lure you in with the most ridiculous false advertising I've ever seen! The positive reviews are FAKE, written by the dealership under fictitious names. Don't waste time visiting this dealership when there are so many others that won't add hidden fees. We were told we would have to pay for theft protection to the tune of several thousand more dollars and it was "not negotiable". Isn't that what my car insurance covers?! That's insane. Additionally they only give you the list price if you finance with them. No thanks. read more

Terrible experience here. Filled out their credit app because they would charge me $2k extra for using outside financing. Got there, was approved through their financing, and they still added $2k for "insurance against chip theft $900" and "nano Paint coating". If something sounds too good to be true it often is. This dealer uses deceptive plows to get customers in the door. They have a long list of BS dealer installed add-on's, (ceramic coating, theft protection, VIN etching, nitrogen filled tires, etc) adding around $10K that is not advertised on their list price. With all the information available to consumers today, you would think dealers would not be as blatantly deceitful. Gotta love these shady stealerships. RUN! read more

Poor customer service! I dont recommend shopping at this dealership. I recently purchased a brand new truck. I traded in my 2013 GMC Sierra 1500 with only 83000 miles on it. The sales manager told me multiple times that he had plenty of flexibility on the trade value. He originally offered $9,900. After showing them the Kelly Blue Book and Car Gurus quote of $16,000 they came back with roughly $12,500. Regrettably I accepted. Less then a week later, out of curiosity I looked to see what they listed the GMC at.....$22,911! After arguing 3 different times about the trade in value, they still are profiting $10,000. They sat there and lied to me and my family about how they would have to put thousands of dollars into it and they wouldn't be able to sell for more then $18000. I will never use or recommend this dealership to anyone. read more

Horrible experience. Tried for two weeks to get additional details on a vehicle because I was 2+ hours away. Initially they kept just trying to get me down there (old school tactics). I told them I did not want to drive nearly 5 hours round trip just to be disappointed; that I just needed some additional details/photos before making the trip. Told I would get those over and over and never did. Super shady tactics. Looks like from the reviews I'm not alone. read more

This place is a joke. They had a truck listed on their website for just over $40,000 brand new, implying that anyone could receive the incentives they had added to the price. When I called to inquire about the vehicle, I had to jump through a whole bunch of hoops where they wanted me to drive three hours to speak with a salesperson, telling me that they were going to give me the price that was listed on the online webpage. After going back-and-forth for the whole day, they finally sent me the actual price which was over $12,000 more than what they listed online. They stated that even with the GM employee pricing this was the best they could do. I'm glad I trusted my gut and didn't waste a whole day driving over there and renting a car, thinking that I would be able to purchase a truck at the price they listed. It seems many others have unfortunately fallen into their trap. I would not do business with this company. read more

He was told he couldn't put down a deposit on the phone. The truck was gone. He chose another truck! Then after being told MULTIPLE times not to shop him around and we have financing. Do yourself a favor and drive the 5 hours it takes to go to NY. These individuals seem to be desperate to sell you a car. They even give you advice on which one to pick which anyone knows all the tricks to get rid of something that it isn't selling). They take you for a short "test drive"(Pssst!!! Listen! they do that to make sure you don't notice if anything is wrong with the car)which should be on the highway for at least half an hour. Then, if you are not willing to purchase, which is reasonable when you are looking for a good deal, they look like they are angry and make you feel like you have wasted their time. Also, their prices are higher than the KBB car values-usually thousandths more. Check it out for yourself in you don't believe me.... Of course, if you have never been out of the area or you are afraid to take a nice drive to explore other possibilities...then, you are always gonna being had. Worst experience buying a car I ever had. I chose Buchanan Auto little over a hour away, in Waynesboro Pa. for a used 2018 F150 they had for sale First they gave me $3000 less in trade in value for my 2020 Jeep Gladiator w/ Low miles, excellent condition, then what 2 other dealers offered me that same week. From the get go I stated a MAX $ figure that I had to be at since I was on a fixed income, Retired. That fell on deaf ears as the finance lady Amanda insisted on walking away and coming back with proposals that were way over my limit that I stated at the get go. After 2hrs of this unnecessary crap I wound up walking out with a payment $40 more than I stated AND I had to pay $1000 extra on top of that. Total disregard to what my needs were. Yes I should of said no deal but they had me so irritated after 2 plus hrs of poor customer service I wanted to get out of there. It didn't end there. The next day I noticed the inspection sticker was expired back in May, four months ago. They sold me a vehicle out of inspection. When I called about it they couldn't explain why. They did send someone out (hour away) to pickup the vehicle and take it back for inspection. And they returned it the same day with a sticker on it. Not sure how they did a inspection that fast other than just putting a sticker on it. I know that one of the tires was out of acceptable tolerance and the other 3 very close leaning toward Not. Something I pointed out when I sat down to make the deal. When I replaced the worn out tires I inspected the brake pads they are even questionable. Through the entire bad experience I feel I had been dealing with some fly by night corner used car lot dealer. I've never left a review anywhere before but this company has questionable ethics that everyone should be aware of. Oh yea to top it off they promised to send me my EZ Pass I left in the Jeep but I never received it. Another $10 replacement out of my pocket. Wonderful Buchanon. read more

Avoid this place if you want to avoid issues! My husband and I bought our SUV there about 2 months ago. The staffs was friendly but manager a little bit pushy. Read carefully everything in your contract to avoid paying things you don't need or don't want. One month after we bought the car we received a call asking for a copy of driving license (something was wrong to pull up the title and plates) my husband sent them an email with a copy of it the same day and called them the following day to be sure everything was in order (August 10) we were told the plates and title would be mailed to us shortly. Here we are September 4th no plate no title and a car we can't drive legally since the temporary license plate expired and they can't give us new temporary one. Buyers beware. I recently encountered in my opinion what is a very dishonest car dealer in Waynesboro, Buchanan Automotive, Inc. (chev, buick dealer on E Main St.) I had my windshield replaced by Safelite and needed to have an inspection sticker replaced. A simple write up a new sticker and stick it to the glass. Since we bought the car at Buchanan just two months before I thought it a good idea to have them put on the sticker. The Service writer say I will need to pay a $8 fee for the sticker. He gave it to one of the workers to write up and some 30 minutes later he came back and stuck it on. I thought it was taking a very long time since it simply required him to copy the back of the sticker, something a second grader could in five minutes. When I asked for my ticket the service writer said the Service Manager needed to correct an error. Really? on a simple rewrite of a sticker? When I final got the ticket the $8 charge was now $29.50. When I questioned what happened to the $8 quote from the Service writer, the Service Manager simply stated they can't work for nothing and made no apology, just walked away. Now I understand why it took so long for the write up, simply to run the clock. I was even charged $7 to get rid of the old sticker. Please understand, the $29.50 fee is not the issue at all here, its the dishonesty associated with the entire issue. I would have had no problem if they had been upfront rather than pull this dishonest stunt. What is really sad is that for a couple dollars they have now lost probably thousands of dollars from me and others that I will certainly share my experience with not to mention that the chance of a future car purchase is zero. All this seems to be business as normal at Buchanan as we had a number of issues with the Sales team at the time of purchase. They play the "track" game where everything needs to go back and forth between the Sales Rep and the Manager numerous times so they can try to play with the numbers to confuse the buyer and gain the upper hand. After the sale if you have a payoff on your trade they will delay the payoff as long as they can to hold on to you money in their account. Then they will play the same game holding on to your money to do the title, tax and registration work. My advise is to shop around and pay careful attention to the reviews on the various sites before buying. Also to look beyond the sale to any follow up dealings and who will treat you with honesty and integrity read more

Drove for 2 hours in my trade in, a 2020 Camaro SS, in December, after being told that the 2021 Silverado Trail Boss that I was purchasing, would be "washed and gassed and ready to go". The roads were not horrible, but not great either, as I made my way to my scheduled appointment. Arriving right on time, we entered the show room. Wow! What a let down! The music was in a corner, playing at such a high volume that we literally had to move as far away as possible simply to hear what the Sales Associate was saying. Don't get me wrong, I love my rock n roll, but at this volume, in a smaller area, with about 10 or more customers and staff milling about, it was simply unpleasant. The attending sales associate informed us that he would have to call the associate that we had been speaking with, just the night before. So we rushed outside to look at my new truck, and to get away from the headache inside. Started walking around searching for my truck. Could not find it anywhere. In fact, there were no Trail Bosses anywhere on the lot. Then the manager comes out. I ask where my truck is. I am informed that it is not here as it was sold earlier that day. What?! It is 2:00 on a Tuesday! Where is my truck? Manager repeats that it was sold, and they didn't have any more Trail Bosses left. Two hours, in a very powerful, very squirrely, Camaro SS with summer only tires, in December. To make a preset appointment, with the financing application completed, the truck promised to be ready, prepared to drive away. And no truck there. And no phone call prior to that drive to let me know that my truck, was sold. And a Manager that couldn't lift a finger to make things right. I smell a big, fat rat. at this dealership. Maybe a little of the proverbial bait and switch. By far, the WORST car dealership ever. Do yourself a favor, at this time in America, there is enough stress and frustration to go around twice. Avoid this pathetic excuse for a quality car buying experience. Head a little south, to Frederick, Maryland. Stop in at any Fitzgerald dealership. The difference between these two places of business will astound you. I am in love with my new Silverado, and I have a new dealership at hand for any future car buying excursions. My habit of buying a new car or truck every other year, will be well fulfilled at Fitzgerald Chevrolet. NEVER at Buchanan Chevrolet in Waynesboro, Pa. read more

I've been debating for quite some time now if I was going to write this review, I'm losing patience with Buchanan. This is my 100% honest review of this company. Let me start off by saying Tyler G is sales was great, extreme professional, very easy going salesman. Trip to the dealer to see the vehicle was 2 hours away. I made a call the night prior to set everything up, talk to the sales manager he said he would make sure the vehicle does not go anywhere. Great! The next day I even called to let him know i was 100% still coming and on the way, I get there and someone else is test driving the vehicle. I should of walked away when I had the chance... but I stuck around till the customer got back with the vehicle, I drove two hours to look at this truck so I was leaving with something. Next few days with the vehicle and I start having issues with the truck, the vehicle cut off 3 times randomly while driving. This is where it starts to get ugly, called the dealership to let them know and got nothing but a hard time like I was inconveniencing them finally after a few days I get them to send a rollback (they wanted to charge me for picking the vehicle up) the vehicle sat at Buchanan for 3 weeks before they got it fixed. I understand things happen but 3 weeks? Anyways I was just happy to have the truck back at this point. Immediately after them delivering the truck the truck is misfiring! Upon inspection I find the spark plug wire disconnected... Buchanan agreed to make my first payment (fully grateful for this) but weeks go by and I haven't received a check so I just call to check up on it so I make a call to Connor, he agrees he will get the check cut and I'll have it in a few days. Time goes by and I still didn't have anything so I make a call to mike in the sales dept to follow up he starts getting attitude with me on the phone like I'm bothering him, he starts going off he's going to put stop payment on the check, blah blah mouthing off the entire time. If your a man and you say your going to do something do it, actions speak louder than words. I did infact get the check finally. Now to the main issue, my license plates... this should have been a very easy process but infact Buchanan screwed this one up so now I'm left with expired tags and many excuses why Buchanan does not have my hard tags. My paper tag was falling off and when I told mike I needed my tags he goes 'write your tag on a piece of cardboard... are you kidding mike? Infact the vehicle had a clean report it has indeed been in a front end collision that Buchanan did not disclose! Would I return to Buchanan? No. Mike is going to run that place into the ground. Once you sign your name they could careless about you, save the headache and deal else where! Atleast my truck looks good sitting in front of my house but it doesn't do me any good without tags! This dealership is very unorganized and very unprofessional. Update: it's been a week with expired tags and yet not even a idea where the tags are, guess we are going to have to go legal route with this dealership. Once you sign that paperwork they could care less about you. I'm still waiting for the sales manager mike to call me and apologize for acting like a fool and talking to me like I'm a idiot. Extreme unprofessional!! read more

Worst car buying experience of my life. Spent about 5 hours at the dealership. Let's start with with I only gave you one star in this review because there wasn't an option for anything less for the crap service you have provided. I have bought 3 dodge dually's from this dealership the first 2 experiences were good, the last however started with a long drive to come see a truck I was told available only to arrive and find out it didn't exist. I settled for a very newly used truck on your lot and had asked for a few scratches to be fixed and a ball for the gooseneck. The salesman promised he would buy one if they (sales manager) wouldn't include in the deal. When deal was finished neither the scratches or ball was included and the salesman didn't follow thru as promised. I was hassled to use the dealerships financing after I told them I was using my bank in which I stuck with. Upon having to return to the dealership to pick up vehicle to sign paperwork I was given the keys by the salesman who sneakily tried to hide one of the keys in which was severally damaged (by placing the good key on top of the damaged key in a way I may haven't seen the damage if I hadn't picked it up to look at). The finance manager ordered a new one. So now trip 3 to pick up new key to get programmed. The system was down and work wasn't able to be performed. This was my first meeting with Mike the Manager who I was able to vent all our previous issues to, he then scheduled to have scratches fixed and reimbursed me for the gooseneck ball. Trip 4: got to dealership to drop truck off and given a rental car that was never cleaned and completely gross inside with enough gas to get to the sheetz right up the street. Biggest issue now is I got my registration in the mail and the vehicle is registered at 7,000 pounds and it is a 14,000 pound truck, also it is titled to me personally and not my company which is why and for what I bought said truck for. Trip 5: return title and provide all my company info again so they can fix in early November. Still no word, no responses to emails, no return calls. Truck was bought August 2020 it's now January 2021 I have given them plenty of time to fix. read more
