This place is usually clean and friendly but you cannot fix stupid some times in retail. Bought food and asked for it to be warmed up. Got down road and it wasn't. Place was packed and pump that I pulled up to didn't work. . Told employee with a radio running around lot and got to watch others pull up and get aggravated. Only reason I'm writing this is because I got aggravated, returned to get my food warmed. I'm now waiting. Returned on 6/12/17. Family wanted to stop for coffee. The coffee was undrinkable. Appears someone didn't add enough or new grinds to the mix. You know, really weak like hot water, pinch of coffee taste and cream. How do you get this wrong??? Now it's become a joke/ test to stop by again on the way back. Who knows???? Well, now I do. Coffee is a dud again. How do you get this wrong for sure and 10's of thousands stop and drink it. Who doesn't love Bucee's?! The place is always packed yet still very clean and organized and that's including their restrooms. Could they have most hand sanitizers in there? Ha. There is tons to eat including pre-packaged goodies, sweets, junk food, drinks, and food they'll cook for you while you wait! I love their candied nuts, especially the pecans. And I gotta mention the beef jerky galore! Wow! I actually got some on my last visit. It was pretty good. But you gotta eat it within 2 days or it really gets tough! A lot of stalls in the restrooms with working locks on the doors! Restrooms are kept clean, well stocked with supplies and I've never had to wait in line. They have a huge variety of both hot and cold drinks, snack foods, and baked items. You can also order hot food from the kitchen or pick up prepackaged sandwiches, salads, desserts, etc from the refrigerated cases. If you have time, be sure to browse through all the Texas style art, gifts, and Tshirts. Even though they are usually crowded, the service at the food counters is usually fast and efficient. They have enough checkout registers open that there is usually not a line, and if there is, it's only one or two people. We cannot make a trip past this place without stopping. read more

Although we moved away from Texas we still miss Buc-ee's and love to go by their locations when we are back in the state visiting family and friends. They typically earn 4-5 stars but for some reason this was not our finest day at a Buc-ee's. This was the first time I ever visited this location so not sure how new it is but it's one of the real small versions. Closer to the size of a traditional gas station although they still have the clean bathrooms, numerous gas pumps, etc. We used the restrooms which are very, very clean. We then went to get our coffee. The first thing we noticed is they did not have any coffee cup lids. Instead they had the lids that you use with soft drinks or tea and require straws. After burned tongues and spilled coffee we just threw ended up throwing out the coffee and stopping by McDonald's. We did grab some breakfast food also which was good and timely. The people were pleasant as they typically are at Buc-ee's. We even let our daughter get an ICEE which ensured she was very happy! The tough thing about this visit is we had that irritating burned tongue from the coffee all day long so the negative experience just stayed with us. Every meal or drink we were reminded of the burned tongue. Seems kind of silly as I write all of this but at that time it was painful. I still love Buc-ee's and will continue to go but won't buy the coffee without the right lids ever again! read more

From the girl that had the brownie fudge samples rudeness and without smile, to the lady who was working the sausage sticks with the same rudeness,...to the cashier! Had a ugly time at this Buc-ees. A inconsiderate employee was standing talking to his friend who was blocking the gas pumps. They wouldn't move. I honk the horn, the employee told me to use another lane. I'm driving a motor coach with modified car dolly. I can't back up. And the employee isn't working he is talking to another, blocking my pump. I get the General Manager from the store and take him to the incident. The General Manager asks me what he should do? I do not know how one becomes a Buc-ees General Manager but I hope they have training in dealing with incompetent employees. Not returning. read more

As a big fan of buc-cees, I'm saddened that this location is so poorly run. I love the brisket and egg tacos in the morning and I like mine with Verde salsa and jalapenos. The problem is, at the taco area, they don't bother to keep the bin of salsa full or have the jalapenos. They will direct you to go to the kolache and jerky counter to ask for it. Then it's hit or miss whether you can get them there or whether you'll even be served. I've stood directly in front of the register and been ignored to the point where I just got fed up and walked out. This place has gone downhill. The bathroom were clean so I'll give them that, BUT I ordered tacos and they took long to make them, then I went to the pastries to get a cinnamon roll with pecans while I stood there and waited for the rest of my ordered there was flies flying around me and I was swatting away. My mom then pointed at the kolaches and said look there's flies in there with all the bread and sure enough we counted 6 flies on the food. We mentioned it to one of the guys making the food and he called someone and the other person laughed and said haha yeah I try to stop them from going in but I guess I missed a few. We were driving through the area and there was dense dangerous fog so we decided to stop we pulled in here and fell asleep because it was unsafe to drive. We only figured we'd be there for a little bit. We hadn't been there more than 15 minutes when someone was banging on our car window loudly. The person apologize profusely I said that the store manager makes them come out and wake people up who are asleep in the parking lot despite their vast number of empty spots and the dangerous fog. I just don't understand the wild popularity of this chain. They have taken the practice of elevating prices to take advantage of highway travelers to an art form. I've noticed that everything they sell has a price that if it were a few cents more I would refuse to buy it. That being said, they do some things well. Their coffee isn't the best you will ever drink, but is much better than most convenience stores and gas stations. I like that they offer Sugar in the Raw as one of the sweetener options. The rest rooms are reliably clean (I can vouch for the Men's, I assume the Women's is treated the same). The food can be hit or miss. The few times I have bought food, I have noticed the premade stuff isn't always very good. I suggest you get any prepared food made to order if possible. They offer a variety of snack foods such as jerky, candy, nuts, and chips. One especially popular item is their version of caramel corn, called Beaver Nuggets ( I have heard these affectionately referred to as "Bucee Balls").
