I went out of my way - a good three hours - to stop here and pick up my 29th fridge magnet. I arrived super early on a weekday. At 5:30am, there were more associates than customers and that is perfectly okay with me. I was able to pick up the Beaver Nuggets my wife requested, a cup of coffee for me and the magnet. With my "booty" acquired, I could now take the time to watch the store getting set up for the day with associates wheeling carts of cinnamon rolls and cups of sausage chunks and cheese and banana pudding out to the various bunkers. The men's room was, as usual, clean. The pump areas and parking lot had no trash. And the store itself was very tidy and fully stocked. First, I visited this location just before the hype over the cease-and-desist letter to the Beavercreek small business. It's such a bad look for the company, and it makes me think the Cracker Barrel PR team found new jobs. This is such a dumb move. On to the review: months after the hype and grand opening, this place is still packed. I'm an extrovert, and I was overwhelmed. I don't know how the workers get anything done. This is a spot that's worth visiting once or twice, but you'll not make it a regular stop. Go out of your way to visit? Nah. A few drawbacks: - Getting in and out is tough. You'll likely have trouble finding a spot to park, and getting back on the highway means sitting in some traffic. Not hours, but minutes for sure. - Keep in mind, it's a gas station. Now, it's a flashy, hyped, lots-of-bells-and-whistles gas station, but ultimately it's a gas station. My family loves the jerky, and I'll admit it's pretty good, even though I'm not a big jerky guy. I am not a fan of the Beaver Nuggets - I've had better, but the variety is good. One last thing: This place is unrealistically clean. Embrace the insanity because somewhere, there's an empty Walmart; they are all at Buc-ee's. Saturday morning, continuing on our road trip we stopped because it's Buc-ee's. First visit ever. It's massive. It's an attraction and a black hole of time. Walk in one of the entrances on either end or the middle. No parking spot is very far away from getting inside. The staffing for this place is incredible. The meat workers are the main attraction, keeping the atmosphere lively with a shout each time a brisket is put on the board. I was inside for about 30 mins and heard three shouts BRISKET IN THE BOARD! I grabbed a burrito, salsas, candied nuts, data cable and jerky for $50. Navigating is a little tough because all the visitors are looking at stuff and there's little organized flow to the foot traffic. You will bump into people. The choices here are lights out. Wall of jerky, wall of candy, hot food, snacks, decor and travel accessories. It is a truck stop after all. We are our breakfast in the truck (there's no where to eat inside), got gas and went back in for coffee before hitting the road again. This was most impressive. Iced coffee, hot coffee, ices tea and soft drinks. Icees too. They have the most deluxe self serve coffee bar options I've ever seen. Creamers, syrups, milks and sugars all self serve. I left with a hot and an iced coffee. Buc-ee's is cheap too. Well at least reasonably priced for a tourist attraction and that is the best way to describe it. Waited awhile for the rush to die down, and went at an off time (10am on a weekday.) Bustling but not busy busy. Gas was the cheapest in this part of the state, at least today- 35 cents cheaper than any other in Dayton or Columbus, and pity the poor station right across the street with much more expensive gas and one customer. This place is big enough that they added a stoplight and changed the name of the exit on I-70. We found parking right up front. And a car pulling in beside us was just as confused about the "fire lane" markings (essentially, park in a spot, not in the aisle.) I liked the bold lane markings telling you how to get back on the highway. I didn't like that the gas pump didn't take one of my cards (it's fine everywhere else.) And took forever to reset after the failure. Also didn't like that there's no windshield-cleaning supplies. One more dislike: bathrooms inside are in the center rear of the pretty large building. One near each exit would be appreciated. If you come in the main front door they are straight ahead, but if you come in at either end, good luck, wander a bit and hope to get close. And you'll be wandering, because it's huge. As big as a grocery store, a supermarket sized one. Yes, it's essentially a gas station and convenience store, but with rows and rows of pumps and an astonishing amount of snacks and trinkets. Okay, another gripe: huge place, but small pop selection. I had hoped for something twice as big as, say, Speedway's, but nope, three small cooler sections. Weird. But also plenty of other drinks, and snacks, and hot food, and fudge, and that jerky wall. And clothes, and branded items up the wazoo. None of it cheap, but most prices weren't outrageous. Service was excellent, at the food counter and checkout areas and just with staff wandering the vast expanses. Oh, and there are carts and shopping baskets not only at the entrances but on stands throughout the store. They know you're gonna need 'em. Kid K got a yogurt parfait and an apple hand pie and liked them. I had to get a brisket sandwich, of course. And it was good, not great. Not worth a special trip for that as some suggest. Mediocre sauce, on tender but fatty and not very flavorful meat. Still, a decent sandwich, and it actually held up much better as road food than I'd assumed it would. Free extras like onions and pickles. We still haven't tried the corn nugget things or the jerky. If they're good we'll definitely be back, and I'd even return just for the gas prices. After seeing someone at Cedar Point wearing a T-shirt from Huber Heights, we immediately added this to our agenda for vacation, even if though it was a 2 hour drive. We were told it was the largest location to date. 2 seperate areas for gas pumps sure made it feel that way. Gas was also reasonably priced. Once inside, the energy of Bucees was on full display. Patrons and workers alike seemed to be having a wonderful time. The sliced brisket sandwich was delicious as always. I also took the opportunity to get some dark chocolate sea salt caramels. Buc-ee's is worth experiencing once, especially if you're already in the area. For me, though, the hype outweighed the reality. It reminded me of reading a book and picturing everything in your head, only to watch the movie and realize it looked completely different than you imagined. Once I adjusted my expectations, I enjoyed it more. It's incredibly clean, organized, and surprisingly efficient considering how busy it gets. The restrooms live up to their reputation, and there's no shortage of snacks, drinks, gifts, or travel essentials. The highlight was the fresh beef jerky counter. As someone who loves fresh jerky, I appreciated being able to sample flavors and buy exactly how much I wanted by weight. We tried Sweet & Spicy, Cherry Maple, Korean BBQ, and Peppered. Unfortunately, the jerky was just okay. It wasn't bad, but I've had noticeably better from farmers markets and specialty jerky shops. I'd recommend buying small portions before committing because it's easy to spend more than expected. I was also surprised by how many of the snacks were items I'd already seen at other major retailers. Buc-ee's has a massive selection, but much of it isn't exclusive. I found out that a Buc-ee's opened near where my brother lives, so I added it to our list of things to check out while we were visiting recently. I'd never been to a Buc-ee's but had heard all about them so I was very curious. It had only been open for a few months so I was expecting it to be crazy busy - luckily it didn't seem too bad. The parking lot was quite full so be prepared to walk a bit! The store is giant and has tons of stuff. We started by looking at all the "stuff" - it's kind of like a Wal-Mart + sporting goods store. They have tons of Buc-ee's branded items like apparel, accessories, and even shoes. Next we checked out all the packaged food: covered pretzels, nuts, a whole wall of jerky, candy, chips, snacks, beaver nuggets, etc. Finally we made our way over to the hot food area which was my primary focus. They have brisket sandwiches, turkey sandwiches, huge burritos, packaged fruit, salads, etc., mac and cheese, housemade chips... I don't think I even saw all of the food options. It was a bit overwhelming, but I knew I wanted a chopped brisket sandwich and we also got mac and cheese topped with pulled pork and a Texas cheesesteak burrito. The food was all pretty good, but my favorite was the burrito! It was massive and very delicious. I even loved the cold leftovers the next day. OMG! 98 gas pumps with the cheapest price for gasoline in the area! I filled up my tank and then went inside. Huge super-clean restrooms! Hot food (sandwiches with brisket sliced or chopped and topped with their signature BBQ sauce, chicken and fries, plus an incredible selection of soda drinks, snacks, nuts, and desserts. That was my experience today visiting the first Ohio Buc-ee's -- and wow, this place is an experience. The store was massive, spotless, and packed with every snack imaginable. From homemade fudge to beef jerky walls that looked endless, it felt like Disneyland for road trip food lovers. The bakery section alone could ruin any diet in under five minutes. I tried the famous Paddle Tail pastry -- a giant cinnamon sugar puff pastry loaded with frosting -- and let's just say my blood sugar may still be recovering. Totally worth it. The brisket sandwiches smelled incredible, the hot food selection was huge, and somehow even the bathrooms lived up to the hype. Yes, it was crowded. Yes, people were taking selfies with the beaver. All I gotta say is WOW! It's like a bright Walmart as big that's also a gas station. But on steroids and much better in a way. This is weird. I couldn't find the price of gas. They don't have a sign. At all. I guess you just drive up to the pump to see the price. It does appear to be good. About .50 cents less than the Sunoco across the street. Inside is chaos. Not because of them. Just the mass amount of people shopping. You can get almost anything you want in there. Bathing suits, cooking utensils, prepared food, seasonings, all types of prepared and snack foods and drinks. Even a bakery. Lines to check out were long. But moved fast. People spend a lot of money. Parking is a bit crazy. Pro tip park on the far left side of the building. Get out easier and less cars. Everyone goes right. To get out follow the signs. There is no short cut. Just follow the 70 signs. Otherwise it will take you 2 to 3x longer to get out. You get caught in this weird maze of people coming in and trying to get out or get gas or whatever. This might be out of my system. Cool for first but not sure I'd go back. Needless to say, I love Buc-ees. This Buc-ees? If this is your first Buc-ees... visit another one. The only thing I can figure about this location is that it handles traffic from Columbus, Dayton, Cincy, Indy, and everything north. Being at the intersection of I-70 and I-75 is bananas! I don't think I can name another Buc-ee's in the region at the intersection of 2 major intersections with all of those cities very close by. Buc-ees should really put another location along I-70 and/or I-71. Maybe even put two along I-70(one closer to Indy and the other on the other side of Columbus closer to West Virginia). This location is a literal nightmare. With everything I mentioned before, pair that with this location seeming like the location where local seniors come and hobble around in a crowd... geebus crikes! One thing about road traveling... a stop like this is great for snacks, gas, and decent food. Grab it all. Pay. And be on your way. It took us at least 30 minutes both times we visited just to get out of the parking lot. I couldn't believe the amount of people at this location. You're not saving any amount of time at this Buc-ees and when trying to knock out hundreds of miles, time is everything. So when I'm in KY, TN, GA or traveling towards Florida, I choose Buc-ees. I had hoped this location would open up more trips towards Northern Ohio, Pittsburgh and beyond but I'll likely never visit this location again. I'll opt for Love's or Pilot. read more

I came check out their new location in Ohio, there are like a thousands people here. I came here in the evening thinking that parking would be less hectic. Honestly, it wasn't too bad with parking. Making my way inside, this place is packed like it's Black Friday 2008 , merchandise was flying off the shelves and everything is being sold at an exponentially fast pace . Long lines outside to get a photo with the Buc-ee's statue and I was disappointed to see Bucee the beaver wasn't dressed up inside . It's always a fun stop (and always crowded). But Buc-ee's has become a piece of Americana. The Ohio one is no different. The parking area did look larger than most other Buc-ee's I've visited. So that was a plus in trying to find a space. The inside was stuffed with all varieties of Buc-ee's souvenirs --- including bathing suits! My first time at Buc-ees. I was pretty mind blown by how large it was. It felt like stepping into a Walmart instead of a gas station. What went well: Facilities lived up the reputation. Maybe it was the people who went where they wanted. My aunt and I both agree it was chaotic. Have a one way entrance and exit, maybe mini lights or something to calm traffic. The food did not live up to the hype for me. Sure the brisket was good but I've had better and it didnt stand out to me nor would I travel to Buc-ees for the sandwich. Opening day for this Buc-ees (4/6/26) and there had to be north of 500 cars in the place. Gas was priced good so I filled up my tank and then headed inside to get something for lunch. I've never been in a store with so many people! I found a Alamo turkey sandwich with no mayo. It was pretty good! And at the checkout I was given a Buc-ee sticker, nice touch! This Buc-ee's location was only a few months old when we visited and very crowded. Even with the crowds, we easily found an open fuel pump. Gas prices were decent and the pumps worked well with NFC pay options. The store was one of the large version with large selection of merchandise. We stocked up on beef jerky for the trip, and bought food (chicken sandwich, brownie, ice cream) to eat before leaving. Large, spotless rest rooms as usual. Tried to experience the hype at the first Ohio Buc-ee's and went all in on the recommended staples--beef brisket sandwich, Carolina pulled pork, Beaver Nuggets, and grabbed some beef jerky for later. Honest take: the sandwiches were just okay, but very salty--more than I expected and kind of took away from the flavor. The Beaver Nuggets were definitely the highlight--sweet, crunchy, and worth the grab. Looking forward to digging into the jerky, which I've heard is where they really shine. Opening day for Buc-ee's in Huber Heights, Ohio. We showed up at 10:30 am and the parking lot was full. We drove around the lot for over a half hour to finally find a parking spot. We got inside and it was a mad house, but it was a fun mad house. Everyone was walking around, bumping into each other, but everyone was smiling and happy. They opened at 6:00 am to the public but they had the official ribbon cutting ceremony at noon. The Mayor of Huber Heights Jeff Gore was there giving the owner of Buc-ee's Arch "Beaver" Aplin III the key to the city, and also issued a proclamation marking Monday April 6, 2026 as Buc-ee's Day in Huber Heights. Ohio Governor Mike DeWine was also there making a speech. There were also a lot of press in attendance covering the opening. If you have ever been to a Buc-ee's, it's much of the same. Except for today it was just special. Every department was very busy but they were all keeping up. The brisket sandwich makers were just non-stop. Just as soon as they fill the board with sandwiches, they were scooped up immediately. The pastry department was super busy along with the fudge counter and the Jerry counter. What was great was everyone was happy and smiling. All of the workers, and all of the customers were just so happy. People taking pictures all over the place in and outdoors. But the happiest people were the one's in the long checkout lines. People not only with their food offerings, but also the ones with the many Buc-ee's related treasures. Tee shirts, hats, pajamas, post cards, bumper stickers, and on and on. It was a great time had by all. We spent around two hours in total and when we left, it was just as difficult to get out of the parking lot as it was to get in. When we got out to the main street, the traffic was backed up all the way out onto I70 and backed up for about three miles down 70. It's amazing the attraction that Buc-ee's is. It will calm down after awhile but Buc-ee's is going to change this area for the good for a long time to come. Buc-ee's is always a great adventure. Holy moly, that was overstimulation overload. So many people, unclear lines for things and just general chaos. I was able to get to the bathrooms fairly easily but the rest of the store I wanted out immediately. I stopped 6 days after their official grand opening, and getting into the parking lot was slow as traffic was backed up to the offramp of the interstate, but it wasn't too bad. Oddly, finding a parking spot wasn't too bad either. I mean, I knew they just opened and I was a little more patient that normal, and I think you have to expect that. Inside was the typical Buc-ees experience. Lots of people everywhere, jovial staff churning out brisket sandwiches, and Buc-ee's branded merchandise everywhere. I saw the check-out lines when I entered and braced for a long delay, but the cashiers were quick and efficient and took less time than my normal grocery store. Leaving though.. that was an issue. It took me more time to get out of the parking lot than it did to drive the hour to the store. The one traffic light at the exit on the main road was on a timer that let very few people out once it turned green, and it stayed green much longer than it needed to on the main road. There was no one directing the flow of traffic (in or out) and it just became very messy with a lot of people upset. Mr. Buc-ee, I would highly suggest making sure the local traffic division does a time study on your stoplight and that you bring in some people to help direct the flow of traffic during your stores grand openings. I mean, I'll be back for sure.. but it will probably be in the middle of the night when I will hopefully encounter a few less people until things settle down. read more

This was our first visit to a Buc-ee's, and we were impressed. We'd heard that it was a truck/auto stop on steroids, and that is a perfect metaphor for what we experienced. Essentially the store is roughly 100,000 square feet under roof, displaying just about everything one might wish to buy. Another term for it would be impulse buying nirvana. There was a partial wall of jerky ... yes, just different jerkies. There was a partial wall of soda pop offerings ... pour your own and pay on the way out. There was a whole section that was set up as a general store, sort of like the inside of a Cracker Barrel operation, but bigger. There were a pair of circular counters where staff prepared foods as you waited ... one devoted to sweets and chocolate, and the other to meats ... like BBQ and fried chicken sandwiches. Potato chips, potato sticks, popcorn (all different types and flavors), all sorts of candy offerings, pickles, etc, etc, etc. You get the idea ... gobs of things to see and buy. Because of this shopping experience, expect a crowd almost anytime; but the facility was big enough to spread out the masses, and there was a lot of parking outside to handle it. It is crowded, but don't let that stop you from visiting. When you pull into the parking lot you will be presented with gas pumps, and that is what makes it a very nice stop. Now I said gas pumps, but that doesn't do it justice ... there had to be 100 pumps spread across about 25 islands. Prices were very good too. The highlight of the visit though had to be the washrooms. People traveling the interstates need gas and rest stops ... and Buc-ee's provides both in a neat way. The bathrooms were spotless, and being cleaned round-the-clock. It appeared that there was a permanent staff member assigned there. All to say, do make your way to a Buc-ee's, if you have the chance. We'll arrange our trips between Chicago and Charlotte so that we pass by this newish Buc-ee's ... that's how much fun it was to stretch our legs on this trip. Recommended. read more

I've been to Buc-ee's several times in Texas, this is my first location out of the state. They surprisingly do carry the same amount of items and are always fully stocked. I've had my eyes on the crystal cow skulls forever but flying back and and trying to ship was just a hassle, so now I'm glad I'll be able to drive out and grab one when I'm ready for it! The beef jerky, brisket sandwich and beaver nuggets are what they are mostly known for but also their clean restrooms - which is true and the amount of gas pumps! I've always had friendly service in the past and this was about the same even for it being busy the way it was. I felt like parking was just a little more than the average location. read more
