I did this bubble run yesterday and honestly, it was one of the most disorganized events I've ever participated in. First off, it wasn't even a full 5K. The course ended up being about 2.5 miles. There was only ONE water station for the entire run, which is pretty unacceptable even for a fun run. Parking was another mess. They didn't mention any parking fees until two days before the event via text, and when we got there, it was just employees standing around with bags collecting $20 cash. No cards and no prior clear communication. It felt very unprofessional. Bib pickup was probably the worst part. The pickup itself was on Friday, but we were only told about the 4-8 PM window the Monday before, which is already short notice. When we got there, it took an hour and a half just to get to the front of the line, and that was with VIP. I've done much larger events before, and none of them were anywhere near this chaotic. The race start itself made no sense. Instead of organized waves, they just had everyone crowd at the gate and go at once. The course clearly wasn't designed to handle that many people. It was overcrowded, with lots of people walking, and we were constantly dodging others and even low hanging tree branches. I'm 5'9 and the person I ran with is 6'4, and it genuinely felt unsafe at times trying to avoid both people and obstacles. If you're actually trying to run, this is not the event for you. You won't be able to maintain any kind of pace. They also offered the option to create a team name online that would appear on your bib, but when I showed up, it was just a generic bib with a duck and a number. No customization and no tracking, which makes the bib feel pointless. Honestly, it's something that could have just been printed at home. Overall, this felt poorly planned and poorly executed. It might be fine if you're just going for a casual, messy experience, but if you expect even basic race organization, this will be disappointing. read more

Saw an ad for this Bubble Run on tiktok and it looked like a lot of fun. They were running a promotion that said free admission and I thought awesome! By the time I completed the registration there ended up being $18.69 in fees. Going into the race you have 2 options of picking your bib and/or items you purchased the day before the race OR picking it up the day of the race. If you decide to pick it up the day before is free and the day of is $5. Since I live in LA (The Valley) I was not about to drive 100 miles round trip the day before which was a Friday as well as taking the day off from work. I arrived 40 minutes before my wave at 8am (the first wave), and this was not enough time is the simple answer. Getting into the parking lot was busy as expected, but they had no staff directing cars to help speed entry into the parking lot. If you are doing a future run just cut over to the far left lanes and you'll get in the quickest. They did tell us ahead of time that parking was $20 cash only, but the week before they sent an email saying the parking lot was charging a $10 fee on top of the $20 making parking now $30. My question is who was getting the original $20 if not the parking lot company? I work for a venue and I know the Bubble Run wasn't getting the original $20 parking fee. They also were accepting credit card payments so you don't need cash. After parking which took about 10-15 minutes my friend and I stood in the pick up line for our bibs. An hour and 15 minutes later and seeing multiple waves start and finish the race we finally made it to the front and got our bibs. Paid the $5 fee which same as parking they accepted credit cards. The run itself was fine. It is for "fun" and there are no time clocks or actual "waves" for those who want to train. They had 4 bubble stations that are really fun and helped break up the run. The stations do get crowded and it would be nice to have a safe way to run past the stations if you optionally wanted to. They tried to color the bubbles and in some stations it worked in others it didn't. The blue station came home with me as my feet were blue after the race. The course itself is very bland and uninspired as you basically run through a parking lot with the exception of the drag strip which in my opinion should be the finish line. You have the built in bleachers for your friends and family to cheer you on as you finish. Not sure it was even remotely a 5K though, maybe a 3K run. All in I paid $54 for this "free" event that felt like it was organized and run by high school teenagers hosting a fundraiser for their soccer team. read more

The ticket was never gonna be $54 bruh they just made it seem like it was a discount of $15 when in reality the limited time "discount" ends after the run event is done??? And then the traffic to getting into the only parking lot is charging $30 to park. On top of all of that, me and my friend have been waiting in line to get our bibs since 8 and it hasn't moved more than 20 feet in 45 minutes. Cowards and scamers. You hide behind your awful event (Tampa FL) by deleting all negative comments on all the posts about the event. Shame on you! Own it and leave them up, stop hiding, stop scaming. The Tampa event was poorly organized, did not start on time, $20 for parking (rip off) in a field with grass that was halfway up your calf and soaking wet. Should have been mowed. Wasn't a 5K (3.1 miles), it was 2miles. Some of the Bubble machines did not work. Course was full of ruts/digits, very dangerous as you could turn or break an ankle. Why did we get race bibs when you never scanned them or used them? Just a big table of finish medals, no one passing them out. Do yourself a favor, clean up your act or stop these events or stop grabbing people's money for such a terrible event. read more

How can I put zero. It was advertised as a 5k that had free registration. Still paid $37 for insurance. I paid back in June and the run was today and I had not received an email of any info or updates since paying. Apparently you have to show up the day before to get your "race packet" which is only your bib. Since we picked up the day of we had to pay $5 dollars each and waited half an hour. Parking is $20. They had port-a-potties for the restroom and they were set up at an inclined angle and every step you made it would sway. When trying to wash your hands at the stations set up there was soap but no water. The advertising for this even said 5k but that was a lie. We only ran 1.6 miles. The entire even was poor communication, poor planning, and a strait up lie. Do not bother signing up for this at any location. read more

I have been to other runs and this was the worse so far. I paid for the premium wave a month before and had a team name. However, when picking up my shirt the day before, they didn't even have my size, a basic adult small. Have in mind I showed up early to registration, there is no way they ran out. I settled for a kid's large, which fit well but was stained. However that wasn't all, when running they don't even record your time even though you have a number. There is no portal where you can track anything. The team name was useless because it wasn't anywhere. You basically showed up, started running, and picked up a medal from a table at the end. Yes, the bubbles was an interesting experience, but that was all. It wasn't even 5K. I got to the finish line after 2.75 miles. I would say it is fun for kids, but that's it. Almost any other local race is better managed. read more

Overall, we had a fun time walking. They had about 5-6 bubble stations and a bubble area at the end and kids love it. The registration and waiver signing was a pain though. They made it sounds like free or low fee, but after those mandatory fees, it come up about 18 dollars per person and when you pick up your stuff the day of, they charge you additional 5 bucks per person and of course parking fee 15 dollars. The website of the waiver was a mess and I wish they have a better instruction or better website to guide people what and where to sign will be appreciated. Lots of surprise fees! Dont go! Save your money. We bought tickets months before the event. When we arrived, there was a huge car line to get in. We had to wait 40 MINUTES in line just to park. They were charging $20 cash only parking fee. On top of that, even after payment for the ticket online, you still have to pay an extra $5 just to get your number. All cash only! Scammers!! I paid in january for the july bubble run, a month before i had a death in the family that we had to fly out of the country. I send an email to the email address on the receipt that said if you need to contact them that i need either a refund or to change the date. The email address came back as mail failure it is not a working email. I contacted active and they told me to try that email again as active only takes the money for the event holders. Still 3 emails later and follow up emails to both the non working one, to the bubble1n3 and active they all ghosted. No response. I contacted my credit card company and filed a dispute and they turned around and told the credit card company all merchandise has been delivered to me. Total lies!! To date I have not received the bibs, numbers, shirts, metals or even participated in a bubble run and still no response to my emails. No phone numbers to talk to a live human directly and my credit card reversed my temporary credit and is charging me for it read more

This event is probably more fun for the little ones. Who doesn't like bubbles? The machines weren't dropping enough to keep everyone entertained. We had to stand and wait for the buildup then walk under to get 'bubbled on'. Water provided for runners was in a paper cup filled from a garden hose. With as much participation, there had to be enough funds to provide more bubble machines. We had more fun with the bubble guns we took. read more

Tbh, the race was not what my husband expected when he ran in the Bubble Run 5k OKC 2022. Start by saying they cut the race short, which is completely FALSE ADVERTISEMENT, race was 1.8 miles instead of 3.1 mile, if this was a known thing he wouldn't have chose to do this race: Pros: - Cheap entry if you buy early (paid $15 for entry) - Nice medal when you finish Cons: - $20 parking (which cost more than entry itself) - It was only ALMOST HALF of a 5k (1.8 miles instead of 3.1 miles) Which no one announced, only found out because he tracked his distance and another runners distance - Online video rules said runners on one side and walkers on the other, which they didn't enforce or announce - Supposed to not stop in bubble bogs, but no one told people otherwise- was backed up and had to maneuver around people taking photos - Didn't call out when different time waves were going through the start line - Chose to put a bubble run on a dirt trail, which makes mud (wouldn't have been a big deal if advertised as possibly getting muddy, instead of advertised as "good clean fun") - In comparison to other 5ks track was set up in a zigzag when it could've been better set up like a loop Will say probably good for kids/families to walk, but if truly interested in running a 5k don't recommend this. read more

Bubble runs at other states might be better.... but the bubble run in NYC citi Field was mediocre and even that's being too polite. Me and my BF went there looking for a fun time. The whole event was in a barren parking lot. There were about 4 "bubble" areas. The bubble machine barely made enough bubbles to cover anyone, the poor kids had to pick up the suds from the ground because there were barely any bubbles. We were the last bunch to run, the last two "bubble" machines were constantly being turned off the minute the runners tried to get covered in them. This has been the worst event I have ever attended. I felt like there was false advertising and this doesnt even deserve to be called an event. Its so bad I thought it had to be a joke but its not. Please, please use your money to go to a different event. Do not waste your money. If you're like me and are thinking of going for the bubbles, dont!! You will be so disappointed. Attended the 5K Bubble Run 2019 at Fairplex, Pomona. In a nutshell, the ads for the event seemed way more fun than the actual event. Pros: 1) The runners were released in waves at the start line. This made the beginning of the race less hectic and crowded. 2) DJ with fun music being played. 3) The one bubble bog that worked was so fun and we got fun pics and videos. 4) Parking was well managed and we got a good spot even though we didn't arrive early. Definitely try and car pool. 5) Race pack included a T-shirt, headband, tattoo and race number. 6) Great way to get kids and families to be active together. 7) We all got finisher medals at the end of the race. Cons: 1) Misleading ads suggesting limited time only free registration which was offered for an unlimited time! 2) Hidden fees - $10 Health and Venue fee. $12 parking per car. $5 Race pack pickup on the day of the event. 3) Long lines for race pack pickup the day before the event as well as on the day of. 4) The run promised to be fun for all ages including little ones in strollers but parts of the race was on bumpy, muddy terrain which was hard to navigate with a stroller. 5) The only beverage offered during the entire run was tap water in glasses being filled by what looked like a garden hose. 6) There were only 3 bubble bog stations and long lines of people trying to get through each station. 7) Only 1 out of the 3 stations had bubbles!!! 2 stations did not work and just sprayed soapy water! 8) Lack of clearly visible first aid stations. I had to approach an ambulance parked on the side for disinfectant and a bandaid. The event was disorganized but my 3 year old had a ball and didn't know any different. I'm glad we did it! I was always intrigued by the Bubble Run. From the pictures I've seen, it looked like a great family activity with a continuous run in bubbles, however, that is not the case. First, make sure you pick up your packet the day prior as registration lines at the event are LONG! Next, you stand in line to begin the race. They let about 30 seconds worth of people in at a time. We stood in line about 45 miles mutes before starting. Upon entering the race, you run through white bubbles. During the race, there are 5 more colors to go through. Aside from that, you're walking in a parking lot with barriers to keep you on track. At the end of the race, you'll find food and beer. They also have more bubbles to play in. The end was the best part for me because the kids could actually play in the bubbles freely. During the race when you enter the "bubble zones", they ask you to do "walking selfies" and not stop. I may go again in a different location. When I'm walking or running for miles, I'd prefer to see something scenic. read more

Not what I expected. The pictures give an impression that there are bubbles throughout the entire run. Not the case! Most was just a path through the parking lot and the backside if the fairplex with scattered bubble stations. It was fun playing in the foam but you couldn't stay long because others coming behind you. We had more fun at the end of the run where there was foam to play with. Not worth any of the money. We walked half of it and no bubble machines. There were two stations during the entire 5k. We ended up leaving because my kids begged to go. They are 5 & 7 I had shown them the videos beforehand and we were so excited. Epic letdown. And I'm out $80. I felt like they were trying to nickel and dime me the whole time. It was an additional five dollars if you picked up your packet on race day, it was also $20 to park and I've never had to pay for parking at a race before. I had done a race there at the same location in the past and we got to use the whole trail. This time, half of the trail was roped off and you had to share it with people going in the other direction. You basically went in one direction and then walked back. OK if you want the experience, but better experiences to be had elsewhere without the nasty post-shower. Price: The $20 "sale" price before XX date is misleading, since they later extended the sale price to 3 days before the run. Further, with processing fees and packet pick-up fee, it comes out ~$30/person. Then there's $12 parking. Route: there were 4(?) bubble stations throughout the course, maybe 1km between each from beginning to end. Since we were in the later heat, the bubbles had "run out" by then, meaning we really had to STOP AND TRY to get soaked by the bubbles, instead of running through a swash of them like photos depict. Way too few water stations for this east in the valley where it can get pretty hot. Route also had too much dirt paths, which +bubbles left a mess. Planning: AWFUL. With most people arriving day-of for packet pickup, you'd think they'd have better planning, rather than a 30min line. We were late for our heat, but who cares because they sure didn't. Our 9am heat really started around 10. Why'd I wake up at 7? Parking tip: KEEP DRIVING. There was plenty of parking closer to the actual course, but we were directed to park all the way back, so it took 5-8 min to walk to registration then back to the car to change, etc. read more

Found this run online and it was on sale for $20. It's a great experience with friends. 3.1 mile run with 5 different colored bubble stations all around the fairplex. The only down fall was bubbles and dirt in two of the sections did not mix. It was just a hot mess trying to go through the section without getting super muddy. Also the DJ or music play list needs to be updated and have more songs. The same couple of songs was played throughout the whole run which got pretty repetitive. Overall, the run was fun and bubbles will always be fun no matter what age you are. There were babies to older adults that all joined in this event. Give it a try! :) read more

This was our first bubble run and we were not sure what to expect. Having found no detailed description of the "good clean run" that was promised during this 5k, our group imagined football length courses of bubble blasters and machine spaced between short distances void of bubbles. Instead, we found the 5k "course" to be a series of cones and ropes that mapped out the three miles in an empty parking lot and a little dirt near the edge of the Pomona Fairplex. We had to wait 20 minutes for our group's heat to make it to the starting line. The announcer overseeing the heats was energetic and ensured high energy music poured through the speakers. As our heat crossed the starting line, we were showered with bubbles falling from two bubble rigs that were about 7 feet off the ground. Despite advisements not to stop under the bubbles, many excited 5k-ers couldn't resist the opportunity to pause to take selfies. The course then required you walk the empty, quiet parking lot course for about another .7 miles before coming upon another bubble rig with accompanying music. There were four bubble rigs total--pink bubbles, blue bubbles, green bubbles and yellow bubbles--evenly distributed throughout the course. The bubbles were dyed to color our white Bubble Run shirts so each participating 5k-er would walk away with a unique souvenir tee. There was a "jet engine powered" bubble blower after the finish line. The finish line was also the home to about 4 sponsors/vendors giving out free samples or sharing information. There was also a beer garden and a few food trucks. Overall, my group's consensus was that while we don't regret trying the Bubble Run, the course was pretty lackluster and we don't foresee any reason to return. If you're really into bubbles and wanna create your own tie-dye shirt, give it a try. But be prepared for lots of down time. Oh, and be sure to pre-purchase about a month in advance. It may be worth it for $20 per person, but definitely not worth $50. read more

The venue was fine and the staff was okay. The organization was terrible. We purchased our tickets and registered about a month ago and went to pick up our packets the morning of the event, it was one of the options. When it was our turn to pick up our packets and merchandise our group was told that due to all of the unregistered Groupon participants our shirts that we paid for when we registered were not available. Why weren't the unregistered Groupon people told they would not be getting shirts? No refund was offered and no other help was provided. I did reach out to the event organizers via there survey and have not received a response. read more

I was able to get this run for free which I would say was worth it if you enjoy running. But for $40 this run isn't worth it. I was able to register for free since there was a promotion going on but there is a $10 insurance fee you have to pay for. There was a $12 parking fee because it was at the la county fairgrounds in Pomona and there isn't the area around where you could freely park. If you wanted to pick up your run package the same day you would have to pay $5 and the lines tend to be long for it. But you can pick up other people's package as long as you have their registration email with the QR code. The run is around the fairgrounds and has 3-4 bubble arches you can run through. There is a place in the front where bubbles are blown every few minutes that allows for pictures to be taken. I wouldn't say this is worth it even at the free price unless you love doing 5ks and want a cool picture. read more

It's a scam! Don't go! They tell you " Today is the last day to register " for months trying to lure you to get the tickets. Once you fill out everything, then you have to pay $10 to finish the registration. Then after you pay the $10, it tells you that you have to pick up the package a day before, otherwise there's another $5 fee. Parking is another $12 and the parking is horrible. I really regret this! If this run didn't have bubbles I would probably give it 2 stars or less, but because the few stops that had bubbles were just super awesome for a few seconds I left happy!! I was expecting lots of bubbles like the entire way but it was only bubbles in a few marker points and it was bubbles that came out of these cauldron style things and so it was just a lot of bubbles for about 5 feet out and since it one way and everyone behind you is coming up, you had to get out of there, you couldn't just enjoy the bubbles. They announced at the beginning that you could enjoy and take photos at the end of the run but those were just foam blasters and though it was still fun, like a bunch of fake snow, it wasn't as bubble bubble amazing as I had expected. I also was hoping for more bubbles in between those stations, like maybe we would run through bubbles or that the different stations would be different types of bubbles or other installations but it was really just different colored bubble cauldrons at each place...which ended up in us getting really dyed from all the random color so it wasn't "clean" at all! Also, there was areas on the track and it was SUPER muddy there, my feet inside my running shoes were SO dirty afterwards and pinkish and other colors from the dye. The rest of the run was just looping around the field so it was pretty disorganized looking. My friend signed up to volunteer and they never got back to her or sent her instructions on what to do. For the discounted price though it was a good deal with a t-shirt included, entrance. Parking wasn't included though. And there was so many people and everyone had to wait to go in spurts so it definitely wasn't a race. It was such a long line to wait to start going. The bubble areas we walked to were Very disappointing ( cept the pink bubble area, that was so-so decent.) I've been to other bubble runs and their bubbles are so high over your head. Plus the other places had 4 colors to run in: blue, pink, green & yellow. This one only 3 stations. I did enjoy the bubble Canon by the DJ area after the run... That at least made it fun. I wouldn't come to the Pomona bubble run again. I'd rather go to other spots that don't skimp on bubbles. read more
