Bubble cuts is great w/ kids cuts. They do many meltdown cuts (where the child is young and crying). They are true pros. They have TVs w/ kids shows to help with the child while they cut their hair. They also have cute cars for them to sit in. Karen is absolutely amazing. I highly recommend them. My child got his first haircut here at a very young age (and they give you a lock of their hair in a little baggy with a certificate and the date. He is older now and far more comfortable getting his hair trimmed. While we waited, I saw too younger kids cry and Karen just works fast and gets it done and she listens to the parents in terms of what the parent wants. Overall high marks. read more

Decided to book my son's first haircut here and I'm glad we did! The inside of the salon is very welcoming for kiddos and they have different cars to sit in. The lady that cut my son's hair -- Angela, was very patient and kind. She did a great job with his cut and kept asking me if i wanted to make any changes which was nice. We paid $35 for a first time hair-cut which included a certificate and a lock of my son's hair to keep! They used to take a picture and develop it onto the certificate, however that was no longer an option for us when we went. I wish I could review this place lower. I experienced nearly the same thing as most of the bad reviews. We made an appointment online with a specific stylist for the first haircut package. Told her that Im very specific and explained my vision to her. She took her time to listen and confirm the style(modern mullet) I wanted for my son and executed. Only stylist I know to ever spend tiem moving through guards while fading my son's sides. All other stylist have just clipped a one guard harshly and called it a day. We had some good and some "ok" experience in this location. The reason I had to write this review was solely because of a negative post I saw about Debra who was so nice and did such a wonderful job by cutting my twin boys hair a month ago. Main hairdressers are mostly very friendly and do as great of a job as possible considering they are cutting little kids hair( we all know how much toddlers move ... so it's almost impossible to have a perfect haircut) . I understand reviewer's frustration could've been "off day.." but what I didn't understand not only she mentioned her name but also took a picture and posted on yelp..?! There are reviews and then there are rudeness and pure attack.. next time approach the person who's giving you a service; you might actually help her/him improve with your advice/input/criticism or the owner/management; instead of posting someone's picture... Don't ever come here. Debra was awful. She smelled like cigarettes and cut my 18 month old daughter's hair like Jim Carrey in Dumb and Dumber when I just asked for her bangs to be trimmed so that they weren't in her eyes. My daughter was on my lap and she put her body between the mirror and I continuously so I couldn't see what she was doing. September 2nd Update: Took my child once again to Bubble Cuts after waiting a couple of weeks for the reopening due to covid rules & regulations, I literally would call every week to find out if they had open yet. Finally they did ! YAAAASSSSSS !!!! I came back with Karen because I refuse to take my daughter anywhere else. I love Karen so much ! She's so patient, so sweet, so friendly. She did the cutest hair cut on Mina & even Mina loves it ! Got to meet the owner Carlos & he's a spectacular,courteous gentleman. I do not normally leave negative reviews but I am so disappointed at this place and will not be returning. First, I made an appointment specifically with Karen (you have to book the appointment online and are asked to choose a stylist and it will show their available time slots) for my 1 year old son because she seemed to have a lot of good reviews. When my son and i got there, there were several stylists sitting and talking. I told them I have an appointment, and gave them my son's name. One of the ladies got up, so I asked "are you Karen? I have an appointment with Karen." She then looked at another lady that was sitting and that lady said "I am Karen but it's ok, she can do it." I was very confused and was not sure what she meant. I made an appointment specifically with Karen and I should decide if I am ok with another stylist or not. She should ask if I would be ok with another stylist if for whatever reason she cannot fulfill her appointment. Anyway, at that time, I was so caught off guard so just said ok and let the other lady cut my son's hair. As she was cutting my son's hair, the hair was all over his face, including his eyes and mouth. The stylist used a towel to wipe off the hair from my son's face. But every time she used the towel, it smelled like a dirty mildewy rag. Not sure how often they wash the towels, or if they use it to wipe other things like chairs, etc. but as a hair salon catering to kids, they should make sure that all items are clean and sanitary. To top it all off, I was very dissatisfied with my son's haircut. The stylist cut his hair in a way that makes him look so silly like Jim Carrey from Dumb and Dumber. I relied on the positive reviews they had but that was certainly not my experience and for the reasons above, I will not be returning again. read more

I went to this location instead of the eagle rock location due to concerns that their employees may not be vaccinated. My son got his haircut and I initially liked it. The lady was nice and fast and allowed my child to keep his mask on during the haircut. It's been about 3 weeks since the haircut and his hair has grown out a little. Very busy on the weekends, but they try their best to accommodate walk-ins from what we witnessed. Didn't see any sanitation liquids (like barbicide) around for combs and clippers, ‍. There was only one stylist working, Violet who was very friendly and gave a great cut within 20 minutes. There are 4 style stations to choose from, each with a themed car and equipped with TVs that can help distract. The price is reasonable, a bit high for a child's haircut but part of what you're paying for is kid friendly atmosphere for what can be a scary experience for some children.
