10/10! We arrived at 1:00 PM and before we knew it, it was 3:30 PM. That's always a sign of a great…read moreday! This was our family's first visit, and Spark did not disappoint. Parking was a little different since we parked across the street, but it was free, which was a nice surprise. The restrooms were clean, there were snacks and drinks available, and since we weren't sure what to expect, we ate beforehand. The real magic was watching all four of my kids, ages 4 to 12, find something they genuinely loved. That doesn't happen everywhere! From arts and crafts to climbing, sliding, exploring, and creating, there was something for every personality and energy level. No one was bored. Not even for a minute. As a mom, I appreciated the clean environment, family friendly atmosphere, and free Wi-Fi. As a M.O.M.=maker of memories maker, I loved seeing my kids laugh, play, and discover new things together. We had a very caring young man, named Jaded who made sure the bull was not going to fast for the little kids, nor did he spin the bull if a child or parent asked him not to. I asked one of the two young men, if he could assist me. I was at the point of giving us (leaving it near recycling bin) when the second young man, joined and assisted. They were handling the bounce houses, directly in front of the Police Station. Not only that, they even placed it inside the carrying case and loaded into the back of my car. However, the person that was texting me was incredibly terrible at her job so I decided not to give them my business. Extremely disappointing. The first message I sent was telling her all what I wanted, listed above ^ (I also asked if any animals had African origins because the bday is Tarzan theme, I tried to look online but not all descriptions had the animals origins) she asked me the date, I sent it to her (June 20) and she didn't respond. I texted again the next day saying "I can have the party early morning since it will be hot around that time of year" out of concern for the animals because I assumed maybe it would be too hot during the day and that's why she didn't respond (still rude) then she sends me a screenshot of my own message, the one where I told her what I wanted & asked to know if any animals were of African origins, just that message. She goes on to apologize and explains she's checking on the dates "sorry wrong person, I am checking the date" but there was no date in that message that she screenshot. The date was sent after that message so that didn't make sense. I say "haha that's okay, thank you" anyway because I really wanted them at my son's birthday party. She says they don't have the train ride and the movie doesn't work during the day then asks me how many snow cones and cotton candy. I respond and say "I could have the party later 5-9 and 40" she then says that the movie isn't available at all and tells me prices including 40 snow cones ($200) and mileage ($500) mind you, I was texting a Dallas number and I am only an hour and a half away from Dallas. But I was willing to pay the $500 fee anyway if I was going to receive the animals, Hairy Gary and the food truck or wagon still so I asked "would it be the food truck or the wagon?" (to provide snow cones and cotton candy) She says "likely just a set up on a table so we don't have to haul an extra trailer" I'd just go buy a snow cone machine if I wanted a simple set up. The prices made no sense, she was short, offering no clear explanation or apology as to why certain things weren't available, she kept changing her reason for not being able to provide what I wanted and never answered the question about the animals origins either. It was incredibly confusing and disheartening. I will not be suggesting them to anyone. I'm giving two stars because at least the options for animals are great, though you might not get much else they offer!

You have to climb up first to get to the slides. The slides are the perfect length for toddlers! I know some slides that I have encountered are super high up, risking the kiddos bumping their heads if they are going down solo. There was a ride on toy car, rock climbing wall, ball pit, stuff animals, target shopping area, puzzles, etc. Let's just say it was the perfect size for my toddler to run around without me worrying. I was able to keep my eyes on him while carrying a conversation. Most importantly, they keep the place so clean. You can tell when a location is not worn down based on the cleanliness of the mats and colorful padding. The weekend is a popular time for others to reserve birthday parties. Make sure to check their website to see what the hours are open play for the day. For example, today open play was from 9-11am and 5:30 to 9pm. We will definitely be back if we happen to be in the vicinity.

Appetizers that were already suppose to be on the table were brought out slowly and scarce. Staff couldn't help with gluten free options and actually told us incorrect information. Larry barely gave any instructions on BBQing. When we went to BBQ, they were hot plates set up - not even actual grills. The awards are just a framed certificate - not like the pictures you see online. We expected someone to follow through on our agreement, provide BBQ lessons (was also suppose to include lessons on judging that didn't happen), and have a more authentic cook off.

Larry and Sarah were just terrific, and the time went in a flash. Plus, we ate a lot of meat. That's never a bad thing, is it. We had fun and we learned things, and we worked in teams.
