This is our 3rd year having issues with this particular company. The landscapers themselves are hard workers and do a phenomenal job, please don't get me wrong. The problem lies within the communication of the office team, those responsible for posting payments and the owner himself. Several years ago, we had an issue where we were blatantly accused of not paying our invoice once the job was completed. My husband had handed the employee himself an envelope with payment IN FULL in cash. Lesson learned that we should have asked for a receipt, but we didn't anticipate our cash payment not getting posted by the accounting staff. I posted about our dissatisfaction on social media and the owner DMd me and apologized and asked for the negative post to be removed and for us to give Bubba's a second try the following spring. The following spring we did just that and it took an act of congress to get return calls, quotes etc. But again, they did a great job, so hats off to the landscapers! Last year, we decided to forego it all together and this year we decided our yard needed some TLC. Again, we call Bubba's beginning on 5/1/2019. Twenty-two days later, still no call returned. The man in the office had told my husband the owner would be calling back to confirm they'd be returning to do work the same days as our neighbor... NADA!!! I found another landscaper via Instagram, or rather they found me and I relayed our story. They offered to come over today. Today, we look out the window to see our neighbor's yard about two houses down full of Bubba's landscapers. I approached the 2 workers at their trucks and told them what had happened in the past. One was very nice, the other....not so friendly and told me my preface to asking for a business card with the correct phone numbers on it was unproductive and if I didn't mind moving along, he was changing his clothes! They handed me one card with the name Kevin on it, then switched to another with the owners on it and said that's most likely the reason no one was calling, we should have been calling the owner's, number. Within the hour, the owner called my husband. The irony. I will leave the details of their exchange out, but it's very safe to say that based on the staff behind the scenes and what it takes to actually get it touch with someone for a quote, or get any of your phone calls returned, we would NOT recommend Bubba's Landscape. It's very unfortunate as the guys that work the hardest on site are incredible and work magic at what they do! read more
