Was staying in a cabin just outside of Quitman and tried Bubbas for dinner. The value and food were amazing. This is a little hole in the wall type place which serves amazing fried seafood. I got the Bubba Platter and it was soooo much food for about $20. The atmosphere is definitely small town and this seems to be the place to be for dinner. Service was friendly and good. Looking forward to making another trip just to eat at Bubbas. read more

Well I have eaten here a couple times food is very good but the last time we arrived we were told to seat any where if you can find a seat and after 15 minutes nobody even acknowledge us even being in the building so needless to say we left and went down the road to a restaurant and was seated and served with a smile and not a look that would kill because we came in so we spent our $80 there in stead not sure if we will make the drive from Meridian to Bubbas again just to get treated like ###### read more

Passing though on a long drive. Staff were extremely friendly, attentive and courteous. The food was also excellent. We just popped in knowing nothing about the place but not wanting to eat fast food on the road. Oyster poboy was flavorful and delicious. Bubbas is a nice family restaurant in Quitman. The food has always been good and the service has really improved as well. We often order coleslaw when we are frying fish at home because it is just that good. No uniforms or dress code for the employees at all. Man was it great, came with choice of fries-baked potato or broccoli, with a salad. All was great, service was great. The only problem was the service SUCKED!!!! I couldn't believe the, "What do you want? Can't you see I'm on my cellphone attitude" that was being displayed by the Host and 2 other waitresses. We live about 12 miles from Bubba's and eat there at least once every week or two. Thin, crispy delicious catfish fillets, whole catfish, great fried shrimp and oysters, steaks, etc. and some of the friendliest service you will find anywhere. I particularly recommend the fried catfish fillets and the oyster Po-boys on a fried bun. Good stuff. read more
