WARNING, WARNING, WARNING! DO NOT USE BTB MOVING COMPANY TO MOVE any property unless you want your furniture and household items damaged! If I could rate this company lower, I would. I moved from Oregon to Nevada in mid-December 2021. Heather was the contact person for BTB Moving. To start, the loaders did not load the truck properly. I would estimate approximately 50% of my property was damaged due to way the truck was loaded. It's been 3 weeks since the December 2021 move and I'm STILL finding damage to numerous household items, paintings and furniture. While the truck was being UNloaded I witnessed tons of damage to my personal property. I estimate the damage to my personal property to be well over $5,000--and that's not considering any sentimental value. I immediately called Heather. Heather told me not to worry about any property damage because she said, and I quote, "my insurance company will cover it". Well, a week after the move, Heather texted me and told me that she WASN'T going to file an insurance claim due to a "family emergency" that caused her to leave town. See photo. That was the first warning sign. In early 2022, I texted Heather to ASK AGAIN about filing an insurance claim for $5,000 of property damage caused by BTB moving company. Guess what? It's mid-January and Heather has refused to respond! I've been ghosted! Why would Heather (via text and phone) tell me not to worry about thousands of dollars of damaged property if her intention was never to file an insurance claim? Integrity at BTB is non-existent. And to add insult to injury, I'm missing a ladder (worth $100) that didn't even manage to make it onto the truck. Theft and thousands of dollars of damaged property at the same time. If I could rate lower, I would. WARNING!!!! Do not use these folks if you value your furniture/household goods. These guys did not use the stays in the trucks to hold anything in place, didn't wrap most items, put extremely heavy items on top of fragile boxes, damaged most of my furniture/refrigerator/dryer/antique furniture, and, on and on. Then they tell me that their insurance co. won't cover anything because we didn't use their trucks. I have received NO compensation for any of the thousands of dollars of broken or damaged items. My photos go on and on of the damage done. Again, be very careful. If you care at all for your belongings, do not use this company. I had 2 headboards damaged (beyond repair), antique chair broken in two places (over $200 to repair), etc...... read more

Absolutely the best movers! Brad, Dalton & Eugene helped us unload our truck from California. They did an amazing job and were very efficient. They were polite and helpful in helping arrange where to put the furniture. What was really great was the fact that Heather called the day before to confirm the time the movers were showing up! 5 stars just isn't enough to rate this fabulous company.... I just used btb (Back to basics) moving company, an husband and wife duo, who I contracted through Uhaul. They checked with uhaul to make sure my pod would be available on time, they delivered on time, and they efficiently packed everything with ease. They worked well together and we're a great couple to chat with. Now, I can't stand idlely by have have them move everything, that's just not my style. It was nice that they let me help and it made everything go so quickly. They were only here for an hour. Quick and easy! I wish them luck and continued success and hope they get more business from you find folks reading this. read more

Three movers hired. Only two actually moved. One directed. As the homeowner, and someone with a bad back, that was MY job. instead, I watched someone stand in the truck "directing" for five hours while I moved the boxes to keep the cost down. Do not hire these guys. Exaggerated time cards and a waste of a 3rd person for the money. read more

This is the worst moving company I've ever had and I have moved 21 times in the last 12 years using help with all the moves. These guys are like bulls in a china closet with no regard for the customers belongings or home. The attitude was very hostile and defensive and they could NOT take direction at all. They were rude and have not customers service skills at all. One of the 2 brought 2 extra large boxes in with a large stuffed in between and when he went to set them down in front of another row of boxes, I asked him to not stack them 2 deep and again asked him to read the labels and put them in the right room because I am alone and cannot move them myself. He said, do it yourself then, and threw my box of framed credentials on the floor. Damaged the threshold and the hardwood floors. BAD Movers. read more

My grandfather passed away recently and we are all out of area. Family had to gather there to deal with estate, and we were all on a timeline. Randomly found this company on Craigslist and hired to help pack and clear out the house. Heather was fantastic, patient, and even allowed a last-minute reschedule to later since we weren't prepared. Movers showed up on time and we're professional and got it done. Packed that Uhaul like a Tetris puzzle. Then came the payment issue...card was declined, bank flagged out of area potential fraud and it was difficult to deal with the bank. Heather was patient and understanding and let us clear it all up without hassling us. They relieved some stress from this whole situation. I would highly recommend them. read more

This was the worst move I've ever seen. These people took advantage of my elderly father. They damaged his furnishing. We have pictures that the unloading company took because it was so awful. They kept sending us emails saying they would reimburse a small portion of the move and never did. They delayed and had one excuse after another. Do not use this company.I will be coming back and posting the address to a blog where I will have pictures and samples of what they did. IT was the worst move we've ever seen. We had a 26 foot U-Haul truck, moving from Salem area to Roseburg. This is a review for unloading labor only, including a piano. Our house is a two story, 4 bedroom house with most of the main living space on the second story. I'll start out with a pros and cons list: Pros: - heather, our main contact was very prompt and answered all our questions as needed on the phone prior to our move. - we hired 3 labor-only helpers for three hours to unload our truck and they brought 4 helpers, no extra fee - they showed up at the exact time we agreed upon - nothing was broken - they were careful to show us things that had broken before they moved it - the job was done in 3 hours Cons: - they only moved one box at a time, which I found a little surprising as some boxes weren't even that heavy and most were size "small." Granted, they did have to go up a flight of stairs for many of them, but there was also a large number of boxes that all went into the downstairs living room and at the garage. When I asked one of the movers why he didn't use a handtruck or dolly for some of the heavier items or for multiple boxes downstairs, they said they were moving labor only and that WE would need to provide those supplies per MovingLabor.com's policy. I found that surprising because the other moving company we used was also through MovingLabor.com and they provided their own hand trucks and dollies. - this will be the bulk of my review: I found that they were ill prepared to move any large heavy furniture items, especially a piano. Maybe the early warning sign was how they struggled carrying a king size memory foam mattress up the stairs... They didn't have any proper equipment to move a piano (because apparently WE needed to provide that?!) and yet they charged $200 to do so. If you advertise to move a piano you should know how to professionally move a piano AND provide the equipment, especially when you're charging a fee! We had decided that the best way to move the piano was to go through the back patio and up those stairs. Watching four people struggle up the stairs with one nearly injuring himself and almost knocking the piano down prompted my husband to jump in and help move the piano the rest of the way. It seemed everyone but my husband lifted with their backs instead of their legs. I think the tipping point was really when one of them claimed he was about to pass out and by the looks of it, he really did seem like he might. There was a lot of grunting and shouting, and they were very uncoordinated. Our last movers, which was just two guys due to being short staffed last minute, carefully lifted the piano onto a dolly and rolled it to the truck ramp. If they had brought a dolly, they could have saved their backs from the truck to the stairs and then the deck to the piano location. I hate giving a sad review, but I cannot recommend BTB moving for any move larger than a studio. Frankly, I don't even think they would have finished the job had they not brought a fourth helper and he was just a teen. And definitely do not hire them to move a piano because they simply are not equipped to do so. read more

Added a cube the day of - got told there was no way to change the order I had originally placed to add the cube (this was not true) - charged me another $614! I have repeatedly asked for a breakdown of the charges - some type of invoice and have only received the run around. I just want my money back - I've offered a compromise - no response. Im filing a suit against them and a formal complaint with the BBB. They have left me no choice. I thought they would do the right thing. read more
