A service tech came out on Friday 11:00 am to assess an unexplained outage that eliminated about half of the electric in my home. Within 45 minutes he discovered that 1 side of the main panel was virtually destroyed -- burnt and melted main breaker, among other things -- and needed attention ASAP. His team of 3 technicians prioritized the repair for the following Monday. The main tech Craig was thorough, amiable, confident, and no nonsense. The work was pretty complex, requiring installation of a much larger panel, and therefore drywall removal, adding much larger connections from the outside metered box to the inside panel, removing and replacing all conduit connections to the box, adding a 20' conduit/ground wire from the water meter, adding 2 8' ground bars outside, and testing everything. Work was superb, brought everything up to code, and they left the entire work area clean. Highly recommend. 5 of 5 stars for sure.

When I explained I got no call, they read back the phone number they had, which I had repeated every time I called, and the last 4 digits were swapped. The rep just said, "Oops, that's the problem then." Yeah, no one read call my number to confirm and recommended they start doing that after the rep gave another excuse of "receiving so many calls to their office." When I asked to get priorized today as my young child would be coming over for the weekend today and was told they could "try, but..." and when I explained this has become ridiculous they defaulted back to saying "no one was home last time we tried" and I referred back to THEIR expectations set that they would call when ON THEIR WAY, then why still show up when no one answered because they called the wrong number? The rep got incredibly irate and aggressive and I asked if I should call another company since they can't seem to keep up/adhere to expectations, to which she yelled "yes, I think you should" be hung up. I know this is the hot season and it's busy, so give proper expectations, confirm you have correct contact information, keep your customers updated and for God's sake, take accountability and hold your temper... Unprofessional, unreliable, incredibly unpleasant company to interact with.

They gave me something that I desperately needed. TIME! To make a long story short, my husband and I purchased a 1930's brick bungalow 11 years ago. Being naive, it was the vintage Chambers Stove that won us over. We've had to constantly upgrade, refinish, redo, and remodel. We remodeled our kitchen 4 years ago around this vintage stove. At that time, we were willing to live without a dishwasher. I wasn't willing to sacrifice storage space in place of a dishwasher. I have never had a dishwasher in my life, it didn't seem to be a necessity. Fast forward to today. I have my own OCD foodie. He's 4 years old and refuses to use the same utensils for foods that are sweet or salty. Dishes were piling up, and I felt as if I was constantly washing dishes. Stuff didn't feel clean. After spending a few afternoons at a friend's house, playing with her dishwasher, and fearing the hoarding habits that run rampant in both of our families, the time had come. I really didn't need to have 4 junk drawers or a cabinet full of misc pans that were never used. We bought a dishwasher. Had no idea that they would not install it if there was not an old one in place. We called a friend for a quote; he promised that he would try to install it for us in a few weeks. That box sat in my kitchen for almost a month. I hate to wait. I sent inquiries through Service Magic, and called several contractors on Yelp. Maintenance Made Easy called me immediately. Bonus, they were able to come within the week. These guys are incredible. I needed to have the plumbing and electrical pulled in order to have a dishwasher. I also needed to have the cabinets and drawers removed. This was not an easy task due to the layout of our kitchen. It could not go alongside the sink as each cabinet was barely 17 inches wide. The only place that it could be put was around the corner, under the counter almost 4 feet away. I liked that Bill and his worker put thought into it, that they did not just give me what I wanted to get the job. They measured, they did their homework. They had to make sure that the discharge tube would not back up due to the distance. The job that they did was incredible. They also retrofit a small cabinet for me to slide in baking tins and cutting boards with the extra space. I am so happy and thrilled to have a dishwasher that I could scream. The time that it has given me is priceless. I will not use any other contractor other than Maintenance Made Easy. They are the best and they are fair. They are also quick, clean, and great guys to have around. P.S. Imagine having Ray Liotta and Lloyd Bridges doing work at your house. Tech (Sam) came out and identified the capacitor as having failed and quoted $625. Having no HVAC experience/knowledge I paid and he said he had to drive home to get the part. As soon as he left I googled the AC model # & the dual capacitor costs approximately $17 - $25, meaning labor was going to be $600. When he returned I asked him to confirm that the part was about that price, which he confirmed. He proceeded to state that those were the fees to 'keep the business running' & that we were paying for his knowledge and years of experience. I'm all for paying fair labor charges for services I'm unable to perform myself, but this seemed so excessive & the tech seemed very cocky in his justification of the charges. Declined the service so I was just charged their $89 dispatch fee. Called Lee at Total Air and he was able to come same day, replace the capacitor (took all of 10 mins) & get us up & running for almost 75% less money! Appreciate this company's responsiveness, but wouldn't call them again unless it was emergent & no other company was available for several days.
