I've seen Japanese, Korean, and Chinese so far in facial care and hair care. And BB creams! What a selection of BB creams! The staff here was very helpful too. They approach and ask every now and then to make sure potential customers aren't lost and confused (might feel awkward if you're just browsing). I bought some sunscreen here and they gave toner/emulsion samples. (I like freebies =D.)

I told her i didn't need any assistance yet she kept following me around for a bit. This made me uncomfortable and it was easy to tell that I was nervous and awkward, but i know she was following me because I probably came off as some creepy shop lifter or something(I kept browsing and picking up things and I had to check my money in my bag discreetly). That's one thing, you have to know what you want to buy before entering so they can take you seriously, this goes for a lot of cosmetic stores in flushing. They have a large selection of eyeliners, bb creams, skin care products, eyelashes, powders,face masks,skin care etc. What drew me into the store was the bb creams. In the glass window display at the left side of the store, you could see all the brands of bb creams like skin79, lioele,missha etc.. They sell the REAL Skin79 hot pink triple functions bb cream for $30, which is cheaper than fashion city's price, but it definitely be cheaper to buy online. They also have many powders and compacts, I saw that they had some lioele compacts, blushes and bronzers and other asian brands as well. They have so much eyeliner! There was a whole wall/rack of it in the back right hand corner. I bought the MSH eyescream gel liner which was $20.00.I asked her if they had gel eyeliner and she recommended this one stating that she had even used it on her eyes that day. They even had Dolly wink products : eyeliners,eye-shadow palettes,eyelashes + lashes case. The Dolly wink eyeliner was $18-22 dollars which is cheaper than Belle's Beauty lab in the Queen crossings mall next to mango(which sold for $25). It's a great store with a large variety of Asian cosmetics :)

I've only been here once and once was enough. My wife has been here a few times. Most recently they…read moredidn't do her roots correctly and she had to come back to fix it. They always get dye on her skin and never fix it. Sometimes they put Vaseline on the skin to block the dye but that's not helpful when the Vaseline gets into the dyed part and it obstructs the dye from really getting into the hair. She comes home with stains every time. I decided to try them because now that I moved into Queens from Long Island, it's a trip to my usual girl. This place is absolute chaos. From the front to the back, it's not a workable environment. Not to mention not clean or sanitary in the least. Garbage, hair and tin foil EVERYWHERE! I understand it can be hard to maintain cleanliness in a busy environment but at least try to have some structure. They take walk-ins which is probably why they are never on time or get backed up with the people who make actual appointments. I asked for a simple half head color, 2 inch trim and blow. I was told it would be $120 when I came in. Fair price, I didn't pay that much less at my old salon. The woman who dyed my hair was quick but sloppy at times, which explains the discoloration of my front bangs, they have a yellow tint instead of actual blond. They don't have hair dryers so you have to sit with the dye anywhere from 20 minutes to 45, no one actually times you, they just keep prying open your head to check and then keep it moving. I was told the owner would be cutting my hair. Got my hair washed, the woman washing asked me if wanted a special conditioner instead of the regular and I said no thank you. All of sudden plans change. The owner isn't cutting my hair, some other guy is doing it. Ok no big deal. He proceeds to balance cut my hair instead of a volume cut, my hair is super thin, it needs VOLUME. I needed the cut regardless, moving on. I asked him to slightly cut my bangs, he cut them too short. He blows the hair and then all of a sudden whips out a flat iron. I didn't ask for a flat iron. I WANT VOLUME! Why would you flat iron my thin hair after just getting a beautiful blow out?? Then I go to pay and he tells me $140.... I said no. Your prices online and the price given when I first came in is what I should be paying. All of a sudden the woman who washed my hair claims she gave me the special conditioner. I said no you didn't. Then she turned around and laughs and says oh no that's for the customer I have now in my chair... ????? WTAF?! Then they all start arguing with each other in their language. Apparently they do this a lot and can never agree with the pricing. Super embarrassing, unprofessional and makes you feel uncomfortable. I finally paid and left. Don't recommend.

The salon is comfortable and kept very clean---and another employee was also there and easily chatting away with me to pass some time while I was waiting during my daughter's shampoo and conditioning. As soon as you walk in, you are greeted, and just get a sense of confidence knowing you've picked the right salon out of all the choices along Metropolitan Avenue.
