So I wandered around and also checking Yelp! to find a backup. I remembered seeing the Motorama, but didn't know what is was, so I headed there. The Motorama is a small indoor shopping plaza with several shopping and dining options if you are in a pinch. There are also 2 levels of shopping. The lower level connects to the Rosenheimer Platz S-bahn station, which is convenient. The one place that I was most interested in was the bakery there. IHLE was all I caught in the name, but once you see it, you'd be amazed at what delectables they offered. They have apple strudels, mango strudels, croissants, cinnamon rolls, cheese cakes, breads, and sandwiches, and many more. Opt to come here than peruse the small selections at the Hilton café. Other stores there included a Hong Kong grocery store, Hit and Aldi chain grocery stores, sports store, clothing store, lottery/tobacco store. For eating, there was also a Subway restaurant, a cafe, a Middle Eastern place that has gyros and doner kababs, and a Chau Bistro Chinese Restaurant. This is a pretty convenient location as it's across the street from the Hilton.

The shop owner is an absolutely lovely lady who is sweet and very enthusiastic about her business and her merchandise. You never know what you will find in this boutique. Ladies' shoes, scarves, handbags, jewelry, glasses, coats, and hats from designers such as Valentino, Prada, Gucci, Givenchy, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Versace, and Hermes. The owner sells, buys, and trades. This shop offers a lot of fun, beautiful, and unique items.

Pretty much everything looks handmade. The nice woman working there has been there for years, is friendly and speaks pretty good English. After visiting this shop before but never buying anything, this year I finally got myself a nice Bavarian button down shirt which I love. I wanted to buy more but things are quote expensive here. The store is smaller than many but packed with beautiful items. That is where the goodness ended for us. The two ladies working were rude and taciturn. They followed us closely, monitoring, watching like hawks. But did they inquire how they could help? Oh no. Not even when we expressed interest in knowing how the garments were laid out so we did not search through all of the racks. One grumbled when we asked to go up to the female section. Once there, the grumbling women physically stood in the way of a section, explaining that the items there were handmade and +$600. These were the ones that we were interested in based on our research; however, this woman just frowned and said that if we wanted to look, she would pull and handle the garment. It made it hard to look... especially since she was still in the way... We understand the delicacy of the materials and quality of construction. If you have a specific way that you want things handled, tell your customers... nicely. If we cannot see the section, we clearly won't be able to decide which garment to look at, and our unworthy fingers will never touch the dirndl to try on and buy. Feeling very unwelcome, we left empty handed and shelled out the cash at a worthier establishment.

It is (as every shop is in the Innenstadt) downright intolerably crowded on Saturdays and even most weekday evenings, crawling with bargain hunters and super hot and stuffy. That said, there are deals to be had -- we scored some bargains already and will be back (hopefully at calmer times) to see if the inventory is consistently good. Happy it's here, and hope it lasts!

Since I left my teen years behind, I have no longer been much of a Surf/Skate shop fan. But since I…read moreneeded new beach shorts, I decided to give this store a try. I am glad I did! When I entered the store, I felt a bit like a fish out of water. Never being in such a shop for a very long time gave me that feeling. I was a bit apprehensive, but this feeling vanished quickly, since they let me browse the store peacefully: there was no annoying salesperson trying to interact with me right from the start. I was particularly happy with that. Well, I looked and looked, and soon I found some nice and comfortable Board-shorts. Besides sportswear, there they have actual very good casual clothes. And without looking for it, I found there a pair of jeans that fit me really great. They were even on sale! I was so happy I wanted buy one more, but the one I got was the last one in my size. In the end, this turned out to be a very nice sports/surf/skate/clothes shop. The salesclerks are not pushy at all and they let you browse through the store comfortably, without any pressure. Even when I was in one of the fitting-rooms, which are spacious and private, I was not interrupted. Of course, if you need their assistance, they will help you promptly. You don't have to be a surfer, skater, or snowboarder to be able to enjoy this store. From time to time I am going there to check out the new cool stuff they have.

They have a lot of trainers here for men and women and a selection of clothes and Bomber jackets. Staff are very helpful and friendly and the selection is also quite ok. Prices are fairly reasonable and the choice is not huge but enough that you can find something here if this is your thing. We ended up buying some trainers here and they also gave us a discount for buying more than one pair of shoes. It's a decent shop and good service. Not a bad place to find some interesting fashion and shoes.

The guy basically advised me that for my purpose and the reported temperature I shouldn't at all be looking at the kind of gear I was looking for. At least two other shop assistants (including one at Globetrotter, who I would imagine would know judging by the specialty goods that store sells) knew the purpose and the conditions I wanted the gear for, basically just showed me what I asked for. It was refreshing to get proper advice from a shop assistant who could have tried to sell me something. Instead he told me that for my purpose and in the reported conditions I wouldn't need at all what I had been looking for. For him, and I'm sure for most shoppers, it was more important to give me proper advice than to sell me something I would have later regretted buying. So based on that a 4 star experience. (so to be clear, in case it wasn't clear I ended up not buying anything)
