We decided to spend a day shopping around Marienplatz while here and came into this store so my fiancee could browse "man things". This is a large store with about 6 stories and it is all devoted to men. Each floor has something specific like jeans, belts, blazers, etc. The shoe section is actually very nice and has a large selection of men's dress shoes and active shoes. Prices are high but the shoes are high quality and I saw a cobbler working area where they look like they do repairs and shaping. Quality products in here and a huge selection. You can find anything you need in this store and several well-known fashion brands and some you haven't heard of but will probably like just as well. read more
Beautiful old historic building with naked busts of women, baskets of red flowers, blue and white ribbons. It's hard to believe it's a men's clothing store not some very old to historic beautiful building. read more
Likely the best menswear store in Munich. It is located in the central shopping district in a beautiful five-story building. The interior of the store is gorgeous, particularly the staircase, which makes for a nice photo from the top. It has the look of a luxury store but offers more accessible brands that you would find at an upscale department store like BOSS, Lacoste and Ralph Lauren. There is also an affordable brand called Tom Rusborg, which they sell that makes good quality clothing. This is the store you would go to up your fashion game if you are a man or shopping for the man in your life. read more

Decided to order to the UK...I suggest don'ts especially for orders above 1k. I have no idea where the order is, they do not know where the order is...customer service vary, some lovely some not at all but can hardly provide any information either way. And its not cheap. read more
I am amazed that after living in Munich for over two years, I have not been to this shop before. Shops like this exist in London for men, albeit a bit smaller, and this shop in Munich is a Gentleman's Cave ;-))) I think it is either 3 or 4 floors of men's only fashion, shoes and business wear. This is not a utilitarian men's shop but, one with lots of top brands and high quality clothes and shoes. This shop also have one of my favourite British brands, Paul Smith. I have seen lots of Paul Smith eyewear in Munich but, very little clothes and shoes. That alone got me hooked. They had a selection of shoes from reasonably priced to super expensive and the same goes for clothes. Staff here are very helpful and you don't have to carry your shopping around. They give you the barcode and once you pay downstairs you can go pick up your purchase on the way out. It's so old fashioned but special. I thought I was in India for a moment (a common practice there). It was not too busy and there was plenty of staff on hand that spoke good English if necessary. I will definitely be back again. In a way, I wish now I hadn't stepped in ;-)) a huge shop with tons of selection for men. read more
Billed as the "worlds largest men's fashion house", I must say that I was skeptical. Upon my arrival to Hirmer, I was blown away. The selection here is staggering and the size of the place is immense. They carry a deep selection of almost every major European & American mid- to high-end designer from business to casual wear. I was roaming around a few of the departments and I found the staff to be very friendly as well as helpful in finding sizes and different options. Also, if you find yourself overwhelmed by all the shopping, they have a bar in the store by the suit department. If you find yourself in Munich and your luggage went to Montreal and not Munich or you realize that you left your ties at home, etc., head over to Hirmer. read more

This is probably the top of the top tier men's shops in Munich and they can't be beat for their high level of service and selection. The service and selection do come at a price and I found many of the items to be marked up a notable amount for the exact same items that I found in other Munich stores. They have five floors that contain most items to meet a man's clothing needs including a large selection of tracht with lederhosen, hats, shirts, sweaters, vests, jackets, belts, socks and shoes. The staff were exceptionally helpful and as many German clothing items these days are rather trending towards more slim fitting they took the time to help with finding a comfortable size and would open sealed shirts to allow you to try on different sizes until the perfect fit was achieved. When you decide you want to purchase an item they send it to the checkout counter and give you a code so you don't have to carry items around with you. This was also the only store I visited that assisted with completing the VAT refund paperwork for those customers that reside outside Germany and the European Union. read more
The store's slogan, "Hirmer Kann Mann" (Hirmer Speaks Man) seems simple, but it's utterly and profoundly true. Man-style man-clothes that make your average bloke look really schmick. Top floor is their Large and Tall Man's section (charmingly labelled in German as "Grosse Grössen") and it's a treat for bearish Bavarian bro-dudes. Especially if said dude would like to kit himself out in a bit of Ralph Lauren or Tommy Hilfiger, a cut above your usual big-guy-store fare. Not cheap, but very good value and great discounts as the season progresses. If you speak German, download their app for online and in-store deals and service--including a complimentary coffee in their coffee shop. There are even separate apps for the aforementioned big guy and his less imposing brethren. And if you're willing to shred a few hundred bucks on quality Lederhosen and Tracht, head to the Landlust section. English speakers are allowed to snicker at the name of that department. I head here especially for quality basics; underwear, belts, wallets, t-shirts, jeans. The kind of stuff that's highly personal and every guy is particular about. read more

Guys, this is perhaps one of the few stores that is focused on clothing for men. Five floors of everything you could want. Shirts, pants, suits, belts, ties, socks, underwear/undershirts, over coats, sweaters, etc etc. In the USA it's all about price. At Hirmer, it's about quality. This is a family owned business that has existed for nearly 100 years. Yes the items are more expensive than some big box store in the USA but the quality is excellent and the clothes you buy will last for years. The customer service is amazing. It's located in Marienplatz just down from the Rathaus. read more

Service was great and they have authentic german style cloths in Big and Tall. Ending up buying a shirt and vest. Jacket was a bit long in the sleeves and would need alterations. Since it was leather I passed because it wouldn't be ready for is by the time we leave. Also it was 2,000 euros. read more

When we stopped in 10 minutes prior to closing after trying to find a certain sports coat for my husband all day, we finally found a nice coat at a good price that my husband quickly tried on. As he removed it (bc it was too small) the salesman came over, grabbed the jacket from my husbands hands and said, "it's too small, I'm sorry there's nothing we can do, we are closed." "You'll have to return another day." I was appalled that he didn't want nor did he care about making a sale. Furthermore, he was incredibly rude by "confiscating" the jacket that my husband was trying on as if we were going to walk out with it. This store is VERY expensive and I just expected better service (at least some courtesy) even though the store was closing. I guess I expected too much. read more

As others have mentioned, very good selection. Helps to be able to speak German since on average the staff language skills for English are not as good as the boutique stores. Customer service can be very rough around the edges, especially when considering the average purchase here can quickly add up to close to 1.000 EUR if not more. In sum, I would shop here if looking for lots of selection in one place. If purchasing a suit, you might want to know exactly what you are looking for since the sales staff may not be very helpful. read more

Sehr schöne, große Auswahl an Klamotten. Leider waren die Verkäufer sehr in Eile und wollten sich nicht wirklich um die einzelen Kunden kümmern, teilweise sogar sehr arrogant. Waren im Sale dort, sehr schöne Angebote, haben zugeschlagen! read more
