On my quest for the right kind of outfit for a short glacier trekking in Patagonia in local summer, the shop assistant in this store gave me the best advice compared to four other stores I visited earlier during the day.
The guy basically advised me that for my purpose and the reported temperature I shouldn't at all be looking at the kind of gear I was looking for.
At least two other shop assistants (including one at Globetrotter, who I would imagine would know judging by the specialty goods that store sells) knew the purpose and the conditions I wanted the gear for, basically just showed me what I asked for.
It was refreshing to get proper advice from a shop assistant who could have tried to sell me something. Instead he told me that for my purpose and in the reported conditions I wouldn't need at all what I had been looking for.
For him, and I'm sure for most shoppers, it was more important to give me proper advice than to sell me something I would have later regretted buying. So based on that a 4 star experience.
